This is that song about that one person in your life, that they’re the one you want to go through the good, the bad, and the ugly with. See because, you know, when times are really good we all know, you know life can be, you know, it can be beautiful, and when times are really bad, we all know that when it’s bad it gets really bad but who is that person in our lives that we want to go down every road with and who’s that person that’s gonna be there for you when you need to be lifted back up and you need to be strong again, who’s gonna be there and who’s gonna follow you down any road you wanna travel in life.
—  Brent Smith, lead singer of Shinedown, at “Shinedown: Live At The Colonnade Hotel (full show)”talking about their new single “I’ll Follow You”.

I’d hate to have to set up and travel with this much gear, but this live set is pretty excellent. No laptops and they’re actually playing and programming most of the stuff. Super impressive.
The live rendition of “Houston We Have a Problem” at about 15.00 is a particular highlight - especially when the Whitney Houston (?) acapella comes in.

Introducing the new Axion live set

½ way through completion (if there is such thing). Totally customized to my specs and what I need of a live set.
At the top it’s essentially a DJ mixer with track EQ and cross fade but with control over stem volumes too, no more pre-mixing for me
All parameters of my effects (Bionic Delay, Ambience Reverb, Liquid Delay, Mid/Side Stereo Phase Filter) are on display in 1 easy place down the right without having to keep opening and closing pesky VSTs (which can also be done if needed).

In the middle are the stem hi & low pass filters on display… No more leaving the high pass on the bass and not realising until 1/3 of the way through the next track.
The blank panel in the middle will be most used controls of Albino 3 all on display.

A sequencer at the bottom with a range of samples in it, and the bottom row of it is hooked up to Albino (which is what the blank middle panel will be). It will automatically change the BPM of the sequencer to the song that is playing and it also has beat detection on it so that it will be triggered with kick drums and crash symbols.

Pure Data has enabled me to design my live set to my specifications with everything that I need all available and visible on the front. Nothing hidden away, no bulk and totally customizable.

Can’t wait to get it finished and take it out.

Also have the ability to start adding motion tracking, sensors, visuals and much much more all within this program. No messingaround with extra software and compatibility issues

Better late than never.
