Like Theory of a Deadman once said “Bitch came back”
Hey, guys! Hope you miss me cause I have something for you!
It’s just two of arts inspired by The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys comics cause I love it.
I’ve got a few more arts of Gerard in my sketchbook and you’ll see it soon!
Love you all, thanks for you waiting for me:)

my environmental science book is talking about how vikings in iceland survived the little ice age because they fished instead of raising cattle and lived in ways that were more in tune with the natural environment in iceland than the greenland vikings, who carried out unsustainable agriculture and were wiped out. the point of this post is environmental science points us to readdesert.org

Disclaimer: I believe that all ships are valid. The cool thing about textual analysis is that if you can find evidence in the text to support your argument, you’re right! Go you! All of my thoughts below are about my personal headcanons and not intended to yuck anybody’s yum.

One of the reasons that I’m not as invested in some of the more popular gk ships is because I’m really invested in those relationships as friendships? The show doesn’t hold many things as sacred, but one of the only, if not the only, thing is presents as sacred is the bonds between the guys. And friendship can be such an underappreciated relationship. Sometimes the people who are your soul mates in the truest sense of the words are also people who you don’t want to sleep with, or you do, but you could never live with, or you could but you want vastly different things out of life. And that is sometimes okay and sometimes bittersweet, but mostly it’s good.

I want there to be more representations of really physical, affectionate friendships in media. Especially between dudes. I want Qtip and Christeson to goof around and throw their arms around each other and snuggle well into middle age, completely platonically.

And Brad and Ray? They adore each other; they are clearly each other’s favorite people. They show off for each other, and they can be truly themselves and not bother with politeness or other expected social niceties that neither of them has patience for. I want that relationship to be a solid, known thing, not the hard, treacherous, rocky thing that long term committed relationships can be.

To be honest if y'all gonna start legitimating bastards (Jon is a bastard no matter what the annulment says because it was made secretly and the royals’ marriage status should be carried out publicly don’t even get me started on this one) then you could legitimate Gendry too.

I mean, some of us would want to see house Baratheon live on. Just saying.

Yo Hypaa! I love reading your fanfics and I cackle each time I see you dive into Ignis hell. If I may ask, how does one get over the fear of what other people think and just write? I tend to overthink a lot of things. Writing outlines make my bones shake. I have so much lore I want to add to XV's universe, and other... things, which are nasty. Problem is, is that I severely limit my creativity and I'm afraid of writing an AU. I want hot stuff, fabulous plot, sexual tension, dirty thoughts. HELP.

Ummm… kinda like this:

I don’t outline anything. I didn’t do it in school despite my teachers begging me to do so, and I ain’t starting now. I just pick up a thread of an idea and start following it until the end, and that works out best for me. It also kinda helps with the overthinking for me, because if you are unfolding a story as you write without anything but a basic idea for you, then it’s like you’re distracted seeing what you’ll come up with.

I know it can be kind of intimidating putting your stuff out there for the public to praise or tear apart as they see fit… but listen:

• fans are fickle.
• you do you, always.

Think about why you started writing. You did it for the love you have for the source material. You want to add to the fandom. You want to flex your creative muscles. Hold onto whatever that is and meld it as an armor to fight off any negativity from outside OR from yourself when times get hard… because they inevitably will. And you’ll flourish, I know you will. Because true talent always does, even in the harshest of conditions.

Besides, you’re speaking my language: dirty, raunchy, sexy stuff is my JAM and I’ll support it on that alone. You got this, fam. You got this.

I’m reading a book now called Just Write by James Scott Bell and I ran across a sentence that I think speaks to a lot of writers here.

Writers write with more joy when they know they will be read.

So, if a writer published something on here or AO3 and you read it and enjoy it, let them know! Leave a comment, leave a kudos, reblog your favorites, leave a like if reaching out is too difficult for you mentally.

Trust me - that engagement makes all the difference. <3
