A Few YouTube Videos for Littles

There’s a toooon of awesome Youtube Posters out there. Here are some favorites (these are songs, book-songs, and some dancing too!)

Super Simple Songs – This poster has our FAVORITE vidoes (“Twinkle Little Star” and “Little Snowflake”). Beautiful animation, great songs. These two are super soothing. Others are very fun.

Our second-favorite user is Barefoot Books - Lots and lots of song-books, with US and UK versions. Neat art and music! (My favorite is “Up, up, up” and “We all Go Travelin’ By, and the rocket one is good too… Most are!)

The Learning Station - Another song-poster. This one has about half a dozen different playlists. Songs, soothing songs, camp songs, seasonal songs, yoga…

The creator HooplaKidz – Nursery rhymes, aesop fables, song-stories. I especially like the stories!

This one isn’t a creator: Mario, Dance! If you look up "Just Dance Kids” and “Just Dance Kids 2” there’s lots of really fun dancing songs.

Also, if you like books, if you look up Kids’ Books or other similar searches, you get some really good books that have been read out loud. Sometimes you got to search for good quality, but I’ve always found it to be a safe search. The “Green Eggs and Ham” one by Chris Schwartz has cool animation.

There are lots and lots and lots and lots of Youtube videos, this is just a quick run of some favorites and similar themes. Is there anything you like to watch?

Toddler-Safe Halloween Movies

I’m sorry this is a couple days late! Here’s a list of toddler-friendly Halloween movies. :) Each title links to IMDb (Internet Movie Database), which is an external site that gives a summary, ratings, and a parents’ guide for every movie!

Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest - Halloween is almost here and George can’t wait for the festivities to begin: carving pumpkins, costume contests, and especially the Annual Boo Festival.

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - The Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween while Linus waits for the Great Pumpkin.

Kiki‘s Delivery Service - A young witch, on her mandatory year of independent life, finds fitting into a new community difficult while she supports herself by running an air courier service. (Not actually a Halloween movie, but it is about a witch!)

Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie - It’s a hilariously haunted Halloween in the Hundred Acre Wood, and Roo’s best new pal, Lumpy, is excited to trick-or-treat for the first time.

Spooky Buddies - The puppies go on a spooky adventure through a haunted mansion.

The Dog Who Saved Halloween - Zeus & the Bannisters have moved into a new house, just in time for Halloween! Everything seems to be going well until they notice strange lights and sounds coming from neighbor Eli’s house.

Kid Friendly Anime

All of these series should be safe for kids but in the end, it might be best if an adult watches them first to make that judgement. I’ve seen all of these and think they’re great!

Shiba Inuko San
A cute mini series about a dog who goes to school. It’s only in Japanese with subtitles so I’d say 10+ kids will take interest

Chi’s Sweet Home
Anyone can watch Chi and I think there is an english audio version!

Lilpri/Hime Chen Otogi Idol Lilpri
It’s only in Japanese but Lilpri is a bright, sparkly series about magical girls! Anyone who can read subtitles or speak Japanese can enjoy it. :)

Pokemon/Digimon
Pokemon and Digimon are super popular! They’re both available in English and you can find DVDs pretty easily for them. I think Pokemon is available in a few other languages too!

My Neighbour Totoro
Totoro is available in English and a few other languages I think, it’s adorably cute and great for kids of any age. Adults also often enjoy this!

Spirited Away
English/Japanese versions of this anime exist. It has some heavy themes and some blood/violence, so I’d recommend it only to people who can handle that! Younger kids might find it boring.

Kiki's  Delivery Service
I haven’t watched this movie for ages but it’s been reccomended to all ages. It’s in English and Japanese and very cute and sweet!

Mod Harley: An excellent list! Thank you so much for this. Spirited Away is a great movie for older kids. The rest are all-ages-friendly! :D
