Paddy gets up to all kinds of sweethearted shenanigans, and, when she finally gets old enough to enjoy the drinks here at The Pony Keg, we’ll have a drink made just for her.
A Little Rice Paddy
- 2 oz Jinro Soju
- 1 oz Dark Creme De Cacao
- Chocolate Whipped Cream
- Chilled Martini Glass
- Cocoa Powder
A Cocktail Shaker
Making a Little Rice Paddy:
- Pour Soju and Dark Creme De Cacao into the shaker, with ice.
- Shake vigorously for about thirty seconds.
- Pour into Martini glass.
- Garnish with a spherical dollop of Chocolate whipped cream on the side of the glass. Dust the top of the drink with the cocoa powder.
You’ve just finished making a Little Rice Paddy!
The use of Soju, a South Korean Rice liquor, over Sake, is due to the fact that its flavor profile is closer to Vodka, while being sweeter. The whipped cream, offset, is for Paddy’s Afro, and the dusting of Cocoa is to represent Paddy’s freckles. A chocolatey, sweet, fun drink, for a sweet, fun little filly with a great big heart, and great big hair. I cannot wait to see how this lil’ gal turns out, folks; but I’ll be happy if she takes her time getting there.
