What inspired the design for Patience? I mean, how did you go about figuring out the design for them? I've always been nearly at a loss when trying to figure out, for instance, what color scheme they'd have. I mean, it's not like Frisk or Chara wear Red, so I can't just default to Light Blue for Patience...

patience – or “ribbon kid” as we fondly call them – was originally drawn quite a while ago. i love designing characters so this was pretty fun! here was my first pass at them:

(heart eyes are totally canon.)

i did the character design this time. minty came up with the clothes and i came up with ribbon kid’s general colour scheme. the outfit and colours have significance.

i always wanted this child to have light blue hair! minty wanted the child to have a more natural hair colour, but i persevered until minty fell in love with them. it just took a little patience.

apparently the last time i touched this file was shortly after caretaker began! that was probably the same day i came up with their design.

about your shlav art: i ask you to consider that slav is actually bigger in the show than most people draw him and we have no idea how strong he is. im not saying he carries shiro sometimes but he carries shiro sometimes

here’s my hot fucking take: they both pick eachother up at the same time and start floating and ascending into the air never to be seen again like some gmod glitch

Ok but imagine this: orphan Ruby going to a supermarket with all the others and asking to buy a yang, Blake, some cinder, and so on, and the others getting upset with how much of a little shît she's being

I don’t think they even care about it anymore

I am not my own, for I have been made new. Please don’t let me go, I desperately need You.

korse headcanon

when bl/ind is over, korse studies up on killjoys: their heroes, the zones, their myths. he learns about the phoenix witch and tracks down the letters to the dead mailbox. he sends his lover that bl/ind killed a letter, apologizing and declaring his love that he’s regretted not showing before his lover was killed. he sets up a little camp by the mailbox for comfort and one day when he wakes up there’s a letter on his blanket. he opens it and it’s written by his deceased boyfriend and delivered by the phoenix witch. she had transcribed the letter for him, because technically the dimensions of the living and the dead can’t interact, but their love is so pure the witch made an exception. there’s the cliche ‘i need you to stay alive,’ but then he asks if korse wants him to apologize to anyone. korse replies that he can apologize himself, but it’s brought to his attention that they’re /dead/, and they’re dead because of him. he has a breakdown, spends a week crying over what bl/ind brainwashed him into doing, and almost drinks himself to death. in what would have been his final moments, the Girl appears to him like the phoenix witch did to her. she had been killed in an alley by a surviving bl/ind higher-up that had somehow not been wiped out, and she tells korse that they’ve forgiven him. she doesn’t have to say who.

The most likely explanation for monster creation is two fragments of the parents souls being fused with their magics... But that's just more theory

Extracting the souls of living monsters would kill them. Because of this, Alphys had to inject determination into the bodies of the fallen monsters, rather than injecting it directly into the monsters’ souls. (You can read the lab entries here.)  This is why it doesn’t make sense for monsters’ souls to manifest outside their bodies or to break off fragments to form new life.

Similar to how two humans can create a new human life (without giving up their souls/life-force), it makes more sense that two monsters can create a new monster life. Their magic (or DNA equivalent) may be shared with their child, but using actual fragments of their soul doesn’t make sense.

Of course, there is a bit of an exception with Boss Monsters, who’s parents’ soul power is directly linked to their child’s, but even so, a new soul is created, not broken off from the parents’ souls.

It took him months, almost a year, but he finally located (Y/N). His heart skipped a beat when he saw her walking out of her house.

It wasn’t much of a big deal, it was small but it looked cozy and pretty, perfect for a child. Dean noticed a little plastic Barbie car at the front yard and butterfly stickers at one of the windows from the two story house.

She looked great. She had let her hair grow a bit more, and her face kept the youthful shinning he adored so much. She looked like someone who had gained and lost too much weight in a short amount of time, yet she looked gorgeous.

Dean was parked at the other side of the street, admiring her from afar, leaning on his black car. She hadn’t noticed him; she was picking up the toys from the entrance before leaving. Dean noticed a classic ford mustang in a delicious red colour. He remembered her love for classic cars, but was also pleased to see a children seat at the back.

He observed, patiently, dreaming of the minute her eyes connected with his – he had dreamt it ever since he left the Church and began his search for her – how her (Y/E/C) would show her the same heart-warming love and would shed happy tears; and her bright pink lips forming the biggest grin of them all… And how she would run to him, to hold him tightly not wanting to let him go. And Dean would apologize and make her all the kinds of promises he couldn’t do back in the day; and he would meet his child and they would be a family.

You know, it’s just occurred to me that despite being lightyears away from Earth, Lars can still get in contact with Sadie, his parents, the cool kids, relatively easily.

With mail!

Think of it. A little mailbox is put in Lars’ island of the Lion Dimension, Steven can give Lars some paper, some envelopes, and some pens and/or pencils, Jamie can add Lion’s Mane to his route, and Padparascha can use her small stature to get into Lars’ hair and access the extradimensional mailbox. And depending on if her Recent Past Vision powers work on things she doesn’t see…

“I’ve just predicted that Lars has mail! How exciting!”

I think the reason people ask about a soulless Frisk scenario is because of the Soulless Pacifist ending... conveniently forgetting that Frisk's soul still resides in their body even then, it's just that Chara has gained dominant control of said body.

Yes, “Soulless Pacifist” is somewhat misleading. That route should be called “Pacifist Route Except You Bartered Your Soul to Chara.”

Are you going to stay canon as you if you do then you do know that the human children came back to life after asriel fight right if you didnt then new info for you

There actually isn’t any evidence of this. While it is true the coffins are open at the end, nothing indicates that the humans came back to life. There are other possibilities of what may have happened.

We have a masterpost about the fallen humans that details what is canon and what is conjecture. Please check it out!
