Do you remember this song?!

It was the second single released from Next’s debut album Rated Next. The song reached number one on the U.S. Hot 100 and R&B charts and has gone Platinum making it their biggest and best known hit. In the 1998 U.S. Billboard End-Year chart, the song reached number one

Thank you. Stop talking. Listen. This our second NME Award. The first time we were the shittest band. Now it’s for being good, so I don’t know what that proves. I don’t think it proves anything, I think it proves that…hey listen (NME Editor) Mike (Williams) came out this evening and he said if you’re an artist, we have a duty to make pop music didactic. I know this is unfashionable and boring and no-one really gives a fuck but everything is fucked. And if your music isn’t purposefully informative, then there’s no point to it. So let’s make sure that we do that. Thank you

i don’t think people quite understand films ability to influence people and alter associations you have even if you’ve had them for years: case in point, i have been listening to AC/DC from the moment i was put on this earth, and yet since the year of our lord 2008, I have not been able to hear a single one of their songs without immediately picturing Tony Stark. They were around for 40 years before the Iron Man movies, and yet I will never again hear AC/DC without immediately thinking of those films.
