Silhouette (Bucky x Reader)
A/N: Firstly, I chose Silhouette instead of Never Let Me Go, because I felt that Silhouette was a lot meaningful but I really loved both songs. Secondly, thank you anon for introducing these songs to me, especially Silhouette, oh my goodness, that song is amazing, thank you for telling me about that song. Thirdly, to really get in the mood I recommend y’all to listen to the song at the same time, Silhouette by Aquilo!! Lastly, I hope I interpreted the song alright, I just, it’s an amazing song and I hope I didn’t butcher it. Btw, here’s another Bucky one because I couldn’t wait to write this one😅Anyways, enjoy!!
Request: Do you think you could write a one-shot with Bucky from the song never let me go by alok? Or for a more sad toned one silhouette by aquilo is a great choice. Honestly I love your work and anything would be wonderful! Hope you have a great day !!!
Warnings: a tinge of angst
Stood at the cold face
Stood with ours backs to the sun
I can remember being nothing but fearless and young
We’ve become echoes, but echoes, they fade away
We’ve fallen to the dark as we dive under the waves
Bucky stepped into the building he thought he’ll never step into again. Fury had call him back for a mission, even after all those years of staying in hiding, he decided to just do this one last mission, thinking that it might give him some closure.
He entered the elevator, feeling the tension rise as he reached the level of the meeting room. Bucky straightened as he stepped out, memories of the past flashing through his head.
Bucky walked into an empty room and surveyed the area, ready to leave when he heard a soft shuffling. It was barely audible but if you were trained like him, you definitely wouldn’t have missed it.
He walked deeper into the room, hearing the shuffling again. Bucky felt a small smile tugging against his lips as he stepped around the door to see you crouched in the corner. You looked up at him with wide eyes before laughing, standing up. “Looks like you found me.”
“You were supposed to be at training,” Bucky said with a raised brow. You waved that off as you hooped your arms around Bucky’s neck.
“Screw what Fury have to say and his training,” you said defiantly, your eyes twinkling. “I rather spend time with you.”
Bucky entered the meeting room and the first person his eyes fell on was you. Your gaze met his before you looked away. Bucky drew a quiet breath as he tried to ignore the aching feeling in his chest.
