I Just Can't Let You Go

by Lisabet

“You taste weird,” Harry said, pulling away from the kiss.
“What do you mean ‘weird’?” Niall asked.
Harry through for a moment and then kissed him again. “You taste like Louis’ spunk.” He tried to press his lips back onto Niall’s, but Niall pulled away.
“How the hell do you know what Louis’ spunk tastes like?”

The Light of the Pikes

Here’s one from last summer, when Lisabet and I went on a mission to get some good light whilst shooting the epic Langdale Pikes in Great Langdale. We got some wonderfully wispy, high-altitude clouds swirling above the Langdale Pikes as the sun started to set, so I nabbed this composition with a view to coming back later when colours got more intense. In its own right, though, it makes for a lovely photo.

Great Langdale, Lake District, Cumbria, England.

ISO100, f/11 @ 11mm (16.5mm full-frame equiv.), I shot seven exposures from -3EV to +3EV but ended up blending only four those: at shutter speeds of 1200, 1100 and 150secs for the sky and then ⅙sec for the foreground. I also reprocessed the darkest exposure to eke out more highlight details. These exposures were all manually blended together in GIMP using hand-painted masks then globally processed in Darktable before finishing off back in GIMP.

If you like the way my photos look, I have a free HDR photography tutorial using free and open-source software, so it costs you nothing!

Full-res versions of the photo for personal PC/mobile wallpaper use, as well as enquiries for prints, are available by request, just ask me.
