You might be sick of seeing these by now but the creation process continues on this new series that I’m pretty sure I’m calling the L.O.M.O. series or collection or whatever. ;) It’s been something that’s been mulling around my brain for some time ever since I read the below quote.
“I’m not an abstractionist. I’m not interested in the relationship of color or form or anything else. I’m interested only in expressing basic human emotions: tragedy, ecstasy, doom, and so on.” - Mark Rothko
Original landscape photos and textures have been digital layered, colored, and meshed together to create color-field-ish abstract art. After a little more testing and playing around these will be made available in the shop. I’m also thinking of using these as little studies for large scale paintings. Especially that last one. It’s gotta be my favorite. Which do you like best?
I’m feeling like a burst of positive energy could go a long way these days. Feel free to add your own comments to the positive flow, even if it’s just one feel-good word. (Btw, new pattern on display here. Not sure what to call it though it will probably have something to do with tulips.)
