liquid choice

anonymous asked:

how do you make your protein oatmeal? :)

I got the recipe from @oatsnjen from her YouTube videos and have adapted it a bit! :)

  • ½ cup of quick oats
  • 2-3 tbsp of PEScience snickerdoodle protein
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • liquid of choice (I normally use water and some almond or cashew milk)
  • 1 tbsp of peanut butter

You microwave it and then add the PB after and it gets all melty omg ugh

Lately I’ve been adding in ¼ cup of cooked/mashed cauliflower because it adds volume, thickness, and a serving of veggies – you can’t taste it at all!

For this specific bath bomb, I’ve made it with the intent of banishing what needs to be released from me so that there is space for me to heal and grow again after going through some very toxic situations and relationships.

Bath Bomb Recipe!

*Baking Soda ½ Cup
*Citric Acid ¼ Cup
*Cornstarch ¼ Cup
*Sea Salt ¼ Cup
*Jojoba Oil 3 Tsp (for this I used coconut oil that I have warmed up until it became liquid)
*Essential Oil 1 Tsp (for this one I did a blend of Black Pine, Amber, Lavender)
*Liquid Black Food Colouring 1 Tbsp (if you want a richer colour, you can add more later as you’re mixing the wet ingredient to the dry)
*Dried Rose Petals, Lavender, Rose Buds, Mugwort (I eyeballed the amount I wanted)
*Water (small amount added to spray bottle)

You want to put all your dry ingredients into a bowl and mix them together with a whisk. In a spray bottle, add in your carrier oil (Jojoba, Coconut… etc) and your essential oils. Also add in the liquid food colouring of choice. Shake it up. If it seems a bit too thick, add a tiny bit of water and shake it again. You will be spraying this mixture into the dry mixture (only a few sprays at a time) and mixing it. You will keep repeating this until the mixture starts to clump together. The reasoning for not adding all the liquids in together at once is that it will cause the citric acid to fix away completely. Once everything is mixed well, spoon them into the mold and make sure to pack it down tightly. Let it sit in the fridge or freezer to let it harden. When I took these out, they were still a bit squishy, so I had to re-shape them a bit, but they turned out pretty good for a first time try. I’m letting the rest of the bath bombs to sit out to dry before storing them in a container.

Dana’s Witch Tips #4

So, I realised the other day that I have been doing witchy things with my drinks for as long as I can remember.

Every time I get a drink with a straw, I find myself drawing stars/pentagrams in my drinks, usually absentmindedly at first, but often also when I have a lot on my mind or I’m listening intently to other people.

With this in mind, I thought about how this could be translated into something even more witchy! There are a few ways you could do this:

  • Drawing sigils in your drinks with your straws
  • Integrating particular sigils with the magical correspondences of the ingredients in your drinks (particularly good with things like smoothies or herbal waters)
  • Making sigils in your tea with honey/your choice of liquid sweetener
  • Again, integrating particular sigils with the magical correspondences of the type of tea you’re drinking.

DIY: BB Cream & CC Cream

Have you run out of BB cream or CC cream?
Here are a few easy steps for you to create your own.

BB Cream
You need
- Liquid foundation (that gives a good coverage).
- Face moisturizer (of your choice)
- Liquid Illuminator
-Empty jar (optional)

Instructions
Add a small amount of your liquid foundation and face moisturizer. Also Add 1 to 2 drops of your liquid illuminator. Now mix everything together on the back of your palm or in an empty jar.

CC Cream
You apply the same steps of BB cream with the CC cream. But you also add 1 to 2 drops of water and a little bit of shimmer.

Note
We recommend for you to test the mixture on your neck before you apply it on your face.

(Jared Leto)Joker x Reader - Deadly Voice (Part 1)

Okay this is my first imagine - I’m worried its really bad, and doesn’t flow at all - I would really appreciate feedback if anyone can be asked to read this! It is only part 1 but I need to know if there is any point in writing the rest

i apologize for the length of it but once i started i just get going, I don’t believe there are any warnings really… Enjoy?

Masterlist

I took a deep breath as I stood in my coat outside the back door of the club. This wasn’t me, but I couldn’t stand this anymore. This was unfair and he couldn’t just do it and get away with it. He had to pay – even if it hurt me.

My exhale of breath steamed and swirled before me in the cold night air and I quickly pushed open the heavy black door that led to a corridor only dimly lit by the faint glow of the lights above.

I walked through the familiar grubby dark corridor to the back stage area where my dressing room was and pushed my door open.

It was a basic room – a wardrobe, dressing table, stool and a comfy sofa. No windows - it was practically a cupboard by I didn’t mind. I didn’t need anything else.

60 g whole grain spelt flour
10 g chocolate or vanilla protein powder
½ tablespoon flaxseed flour (optional)
2 teaspoon baking powder
cinnamon/vanilla
100 ml oatmilk

1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
1,5 big ripe mashed bananas
1 medium grated carrot

How to:
Mix all dry ingredients in a big bowl. in another small bowl, mix oatmilk, mashed bananas, grated carrot, chia + flaxseeds, coconutoil and liquid sweetener and let the mixture set for around 5 minutes. add it to the dry mixture and stir until you have a thick batter. Line a cake-pan of your choice (i used a small one for bread, but i’m sure even muffins would work!) with baking sheets and fill in the batter. Preheat your oven to 170°C and bake until your carrot banana bread looks brownish and a toothpick comes out clean! (around 20-25 minutes, depends on the size of your cake-pan)

any tips on how to clear up acne? my skin is super super broken out 24/7

General Tips:

  • Wash your sheets at least once a month
    • I rotate pillows & sides every week.
  • Don’t touch your face.
    • If you want to, wash your hands or at least use hand sanitizer first! Our hands get dirtier than you think during the day.
  • Wash your hair or look at your hair care products in general.
    • Sometimes 3-4 day hair has more build up.
    • I find that some hair care (and body care) can lead to break outs along my hair line or back!
  • Wash your face 2 times a day.
    • I recommend: 1x in the morning, 2x a night (if you don’t use a makeup remover like a cleansing oil).
    • If you only wash your face once at night you’re only removing your makeup, not cleansing your skin!
  • Try a Clarisonic.
    • This is just an extra helping step to removing more makeup when you’re washing your face.
  • Don’t wear makeup for more that 12+ hours.
    • Try your best to not wear makeup to bed! (even if you just remove the makeup and don’t wash your face. that’s better than sleeping in it)
  • Clay face masks 1x a week.
    • These can be helpful at gentle exfoliating and “pulling” things to the surface.
  • Know your skin type!
    • It will help when finding products.
  • Do not pick, squeeze, pop, etc your acne!
    • The risk: popping the sac of puss under the skin (leading to more break outs or an infection) or squeezing the puss onto your skin allowing it to be absorbed and cause more break out.
  • Get a facial!
    • Some places offer quick 30 mins facials at a decent rate! Getting a facial 1x a week, every other week, or once a month (whatever you can afford) can really help.
    • A facial is more in-depth cleaning of the skin than at home. You’ll have a professional too. The esthetician can recommend products, clear up blackheads (safely), help you understand whats causing it, etc…
  • Know what’s causing your acne.
    • You can google acne face map. It can show you (generally) what is causing your acne. Is it your lungs (are you about to get a cold), your kidneys (have you been drinking less water and more soda recently), your hormones (with hormones a dermatologist is best because you can’t balance your hormones at home), etc…
  • A DERMATOLOGIST!
    • They know more than anyone how to help you with acne. They can suggest products, medication, an esthetician, what to do at home, etc… It’s their job to help you with their skin!

Product Tips:

  • Ingredients to know: Here are a few ingredients to look for that can help clear up breakouts. *note most will dry out your skin, especially if you already have dry skin. Use a good moisturizer!*
    • AHAs (glycolic acid)
    • Benzoyl Peroxide
    • Tea Tree
    • BHAs (Salicylic Acid)
  • Not all products are created equal!!!!
    • For something to help it has to remain on the skin for at least a couple of minutes (to be absorbed). Face washes with those ingredients don’t really have a major affect, neither does an exfoliant (if it’s physical).
    • Look for leave on exfoliants like Paula’s Choice Liquid BHA, enzyme exfoliants, chemical exfoliants, or chemical peels (i always recommend by a professional because they will penetrate deeper, have better results, and there is no risk of burning/ruining your skin)
    • Moisturizers now contain helpful ingredients, remember you HAVE to wear SPF with the ingredients listed above.
    • Serums can also help.
  • Not all ingredients work on everyone.
    • Some people can use all forms, others only 1-2. It’s important to know what type of ingredient is in your products. For example Paula’s Choice offers liquid BHA and AHA, while something like Proactiv has both types (leading to many people being irritated).
  • Don’t use it if it irritates your skin.
    • What percentage is the active ingredients? Maybe you just need a lower dosage. Or maybe it reacts with your skin in general.
  • Use calming products along with your acne/breakout/pimple products.
    • A lot of products can cause inflammation or you could have sensitive skin. The redness can make your issue seem larger than it really is.
    • Acne is inflammatory so products that cause inflammation make acne worse!
    • Look for products with chamomile for example and avoid products with alcohol (especially in toners).
  • Spot Treat
    • There is no reason to completely dry out your entire face. if you get something like a benzoyl peroxide gel, use it where it’s needed only.

Healthy vegan crepes

50 g red lentil flour (i just blend red lentils in my vitamix)
40 g oat flour
1 small tsp flaxseed meal
2 tbsp date syrup or other liquid sweetener of choice (i use flavdrops from myprotein with vanilla taste)
cinnamon/vanilla (optional)
plantmilk or water (water will give you less taste, but if you’re using enough sweetener it’s absolutely fine)
1-2 tsp baking powder

Option with banana:
just add half a really ripe banana to your batter.

How to:
Mix all dry ingredients together and add plantmilk/water and date syrup/liquid sweetener (if making the option with banana, i suggest to put  everything in a blender and mix until you have a runny batter, so you won’t have any banana pieces in it). You have to add a lot of milk/water, the batter should be really runny! let the batter sit for around 10 minutes and preheat a non-stick skillet on medium heat. add 1/3 of the batter and smooth it down. flip the crepe when bubbles start to appear, so you can easily remove it with a spatula and bake it from the other side until it gets lightly brownish. flip another few times and bake the next one. you can make 3 small or 2 middle crepes out of the batter (like you see them in the picture). Fill or top them with whatever you want and enjoy! :)

how can i get flawless 🌟 skin like you ???? ☺️😍

one thing 2 remember–most ppl don’t have flawless skin n im not an exception. it might not show it as well in the pic bc of some light editing but i have scarring and stretch marks lmao mmm as for doing anything for those–I don’t do anything for my body besides using those exfoliation brush things when I shower. As for the face–I’ve used this 2% BHA liquid from Paula’s Choice (which I rly like) and I’ve been trying out witch hazel as toner and rosehip oil as moisturizer, but I haven’t been trying it out for very long so I can’t vouch for it quite yet. ALSO getting the proper amount of sleep and staying hydrated is always a plus!
