My most terrible habit is picking and biting my lips. I’ve done this since my teen years and because of that, my lips are scarred and gross. This is the only DIY lip treatment that has ever worked to plump and soften my lips in just one treatment. So I’m sharing it with you guys!

🔮DIY Plumping and Moisturizing Lip Treatment

💗 Brown Sugar
💗 Extra Virgin Olive oil (organic)
💗 Honey (I used local)
💗 Cling Wrap
💗 Peppermint Oil
💗 Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm

🔮 Mix brown sugar, olive oil, honey and a few drops of peppermint. Scrub on your lips 3-5 minutes. Add a little more of the mixture to lips then apply a piece of cling wrap. Leave on for 10 minutes. (I added a napkin and a cloth surgical mask to increase warmth)

🔮 Remove scrub, apply thick layer of Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm then apply another piece of cling wrap leaving it on for 20 minutes. (This part was the hardest because I couldn’t sip on my tea for a whole 20 minutes!) #southerngirlproblems

🔮 After 20 minutes remove the cling wrap and massage the remaining lip balm into your now super soft, plump lips. 💕

What is your best makeup trick ?

F A C E:

  • Before applying any beauty products, hydrate your face with moisturizer. Don’t skip this step if you have dry skin.
  • Applying primer before foundation will even the surface of your skin, make your pores look smaller and your skin look smooth.
  • If you have combination skin, moisturize the dry areas and apply primer on the areas that get oily before applying foundation.
  • If you have a lot of red spots on your face, use color correcting concealers that come in mint green colors. Simply apply the product on the red areas using your finger or a makeup sponge and wait for it to dry, then apply foundation.
  • If your skin tends to get dry patches, exfoliate it at least once a week. It will remove dead skin cells and will make your skin smooth.
  • When buying foundation, consider your skin type. If you have oily, acne-prone skin, choose foundations with oil-free formulas. If your skin is dry, opt for hydrating foundations. Foundations with hypoallergenic formulas are best for those whose skin is sensitive.
  • If your skin is dry, avoid matte foundations because your skin might end up looking flaky. Instead, look for products that have moisturizing and hydrating qualities.
  • When you’re in a makeup store and you’re trying to pick the perfect foundation shade, test if the shade is right for your skin tone by applying a little bit of it on your jawline. Don’t try to test if the shade is good for you by applying it on the back of your palm or your wrist because the skin tone of your hand differs from the skin tone of your face.
  • Does your foundation seem to look normal right after it’s applied but it changes its color/turns orange within an hour or when you go outside? It’s because it oxidizes, people with oily skin may experience this more often than those with other skin types. To prevent this, use a primer and stick to oil-free foundations.
  • Once you’ve applied foundation, set it with powder. Makeup powders create a silky finish and minimize the look of pores and other small imperfections. It can also control face shine. If your face tends to get oily throughout the day, simply reapply the powder on the oily areas.
  • Does your makeup make your face look pale when you take pictures with flash? That’s probably because you’re using a foundation that is high in spf. To avoid this problem, avoid foundations that contain spf higher than 30.
  • Liquid highlighters are a lot more concentrated than powder highlighters; therefore, use them sparingly.
  • Some people have a hard time blending out their contour. If you find difficulty with contouring kits, you can always use a foundation that’s a few shades darker than your skin tone as a contour. It is much easier to apply, especially if you’re a beginner.
  • Use translucent powder to prevent makeup transfer, it will set and mattify your makeup. A setting spray can also help you avoid makeup transfer.
  • Always clean your brushes after using them because they will transfer bacteria to your face, causing break outs.

E Y E B R O W S:

  • When doing your eyebrows, keep in mind that they should look shaded and soft, not like a straight, hard line.
  • Before applying makeup on your eyebrows, brush them upward with a spoolie brush to enhance their shape. You can also enhance the shape of your eyebrows by slightly overdrawing them or applying eyebrow products on the sparse areas.
  • Always use products that match the color of your eyebrows; otherwise, they won’t look natural.
  • After you’ve applied eyebrow products, brush your brows with a spoolie brush to blend out the color and soften any harsh lines. You can also apply concealer to define them.
  • A clear eyebrow gel can be worn over an eyebrow pencil or powder to make those products last longer.
  • Are you trying to grow out your eyebrows? Forget about tweezing or waxing. It may take up to 15 weeks for your eyebrows to grow back fully so you have to be patient. While they’re growing back, you can use a tinted gel or a pomade to make your brows look more presentable.
  • Castor oil promotes hair growth so you can use it to make your eyebrow hair grow faster (you can use it on your eyelashes too).

E Y E S:

  • The easiest way to apply eyeliner is by tilting your head back and looking into the mirror. If you’re a beginner and it’s hard for you to apply the product, you can make dots along you upper lid and simply connect them.
  • Does your mascara clump? Make sure that your lashes are clean before you apply it. If you apply mascara while still having some on from the night before, your lashes will most likely get clumpy.
  • A blending brush should only be used for blending your eyeshadow. Don’t apply new eyeshadow with a blending brush, especially if it’s already been used because it’ll mess up your makeup.
  • Warm colors like browns and golds and shimmery shades complement brown hair and blue eyes the most.
  • Blondes with fair skin should choose shades like brown, bronze, silver, beige, gray and neutral shades.
  • You can prevent your eyeshadow from creasing by applying translucent powder. After priming your eyes, apply a little bit of translucent or loose powder on your eyelids using a powder puff or a sponge.
  • Fake eyelashes can be worn more than once. If you take care of them, they can last for a very long time. The first thing you need to do once you remove them is to remove the glue. You can do this by simply pulling at the glue until it begins to come off. It’s also important to clean the eyelashes with an oil-free makeup remover before you put them away. Keep your lashes in their original package to prevent them from collecting dust and bacteria.

L I P S:

  • If your lips are flaky, take a toothbrush and gently brush off the flakes. This will boost the circulation of your lips. You can apply some lip moisturizer after doing this to keep your lips hydrated.
  • Before applying your lipstick, use concealer to saturate the color of your lip lines and to make your lips look bigger. Apply it onto your lips and spread it a little over your lip line.
  • Overdrawing your lip line is the key in making your lips look bigger. Use a lip liner that matches you lipstick and apply it slightly outside the natural lip line.
  • Apply some lip gloss on the middle of your lips to make them look fuller and plump.
  • Once you’ve applied lip products, apply concealer on the areas where you went over your lip line.
  • Bright and deep lipstick colors compliment people with medium to dark skin the most. Try bright and deep reds, pinks, coral, shimmery peach lipsticks and lip liners.
FTM Makeup Tutorial

hello, im reese!!! today i am going to make a sorta useful tutorial on how to use makeup to help you achieve more traditionally masculine features and hopefully help pre-t trans boys and nonbinary people pass better. i hope you find this helpful!

first thing we’re gonna work on is EYEBROWS, which is usually the first thing people work on to achieve a more masculine face, but its not just about thickening eyebrows, in fact, its not about that at all. The only reason male’s eyebrows look thicker is because plucking them isnt standard, and their eyebrows are not ARCHED like feminine ones.

this is the difference between male and female eyebrows. Also, More straight eyebrows make the eyes appear more deep set, another masculine feature.

we’re going to want to make the eyebrows less arched, and more straight, by drawing over them in a way similar to this (excuse the microsoft paint)

already a bit more masculine! and you dont need to thicken up the eyebrows very much, coloring in the arches thickens them up wuite a lot.

eyes are very simple and optional, try some brown pencil eyeliner on either side of your waterline to make them smaller and more narrow, and apply some VERY LIGHT eyeshadow under your eyebrows to make your eyes appear more deep set

this will also make your eyes look slightly more far apart, but the difference is minimal and completely optional.

feminine and masculine lips are more similar then theyre made out to be, but you female lips have a more traditionally pink tint, whereas male lips are more flesh toned.

so applying a little bit of foundation over the edges of your lips should do the trick, along with some clear lip gloss so you dont look too washed out

but wait, theres more!

now for the best part, countouring. masculine faces and feminine faces are extremely different shaped, with women’s faces traditionally more triangular, and men’s faces more angular

this is a fantastic reference, but definitely tone down the features and dont exaggerate as much as the images seen here, just follow the basic idea. Mens bones stick out more, with less smooth contour and more sharp angles. Also note the ridge above the eyebrows.

Do this. Do that. Turn your focus here. I need your help over there. Why didn’t you do better on this quiz? We need your help decorating the dance. Why didn’t you come to my party Friday night?

Why can’t you do better?

Why can’t you be better?

It felt as if someone had a vice grip on your mind–the pressure from your thoughts and the surrounding sensories building. The day had started out alright, you were a little low on sleep, but nothing you couldn’t handle. With your planner by your side and a to-do list written out, everything would be okay.

Until third period, when you couldn’t find your planner and suddenly, you’d felt as if you had lost control of everything. You attempted to calm your racing mind by writing and re-writing your list of things to do on various sticky notes and blank sheets of paper, but to no avail. Writing things down helped you to keep everything in order, but it had to be in a planner to work.

It had to be neat and precise to give you a sense of control.

And without it anchoring your nerves, your thoughts ran wild. Worries about deadlines, doubts about interactions with friends, and fears of not having your next step planned out flooded your brain, filling it up to the brim–but you refused to allow any to leak out. Throughout the school day, you make sure to maintain a composed appearance in front of your friends and classmates; smiling when needed and speaking up when called on. Even though it was a battle against yourself to avoid crumpling into a wired ball in the middle of the hallway.

To the most of the school, you were fine.

To one of your best friends, you were not.

Jughead had been keeping an eye on you since he saw you freeze up in third period. He’d known you long enough to realize what the furrowing of your brow and the drawing in of your limbs meant–panic. He was also wise enough not to bring it up in school. Rather choosing to remain by your side as much as he could, trying to deduce the root of your distress and how he could help fix it.

You could tell what Jug was doing, as soon as he began to silently walk with you to your different classes, whether or not he attended them with you. It brought a slight sense of comfort in knowing that someone was aware that something was off, without you having to outright tell them. Jughead had always been someone you could turn to in times of need and vise versa. Talking about the whirlwind of emotions that had a tendency to fill your heart and mind, was never something that you were very skilled at. So, having the one person who you wanted to know how you felt, already know with no words spoken, was a gift all unto itself.

Of course, today was the day your teachers decided to assign all of the big term assignments, and each one pushed you closer to the edge. Relief flooded your system when you heard the final dismissal bell ring. Go home. Do homework.

Simple enough. That you could handle.

Jughead joined you on your walk home, the fresh air and blue skies cooling your nerves ever so slightly. You and he walked side by side, your eyes fixated on the sidewalk beneath your feet, while Jug’s were focused on you. He wanted to ask if you wanted to grab a bite a Pop’s, for his stomach sounded like an overprotective mother bear, but he knew that you’d say no. What you needed was to follow whatever plan had accumulated in your mind in order to regain a sense of control.

And so, he decided on grabbing some food at your house; it wasn’t unusual for him to hang out there anyhow. The trees that were lining your street casted cool shadows over you, which gave your skin a break from the vibrant sun that was out that afternoon. Pushing open the front door, you were happy to see your house just the way you’d left it–one less thing to worry about. Your parents wouldn’t be home for a couple more hours, meaning you would be granted with peace and quiet as your thoughts fell back into place.

Jughead followed you up to your room, making sure to leave the door slightly open, and took no time in flopping on your bed while you settled down at your computer desk. Placing your backpack neatly to your right, you pulled out that night’s homework as your laptop booted up. Though you were still on edge, you were able to focus a bit more now that you were in your space. Pulling out the sheet of paper that listed your homework, you began to silently estimate how long each assignment would take.

Math would take you around forty-five minutes, another twenty minutes for history reading, and probably another hour for your English writing assign–

Freezing your train of thought, you glanced up at your laptop when you didn’t hear the usual melody that played as it turned on. The screen was black. Wierd. You swore you had pressed the power button. Shrugging it off, you pushed the on-button and waited.

You pressed it again, holding it longer this time.

You checked to make sure it was plugged in while you were at school, it was, meaning it should have a full charge. You pressed the power button one more time, but to no avail. Your laptop wasn’t turning on. This… this couldn’t be happening. Not now. Not today.

The logical side of your mind was telling you that you could head to the library, or a friend’s house to finish typing the English assignment, but, at that moment, all rational thoughts went out the window. Your neck and shoulders tensed and you could feel your toes curling into the soft carpet underneath your feet. Forehead twisting in distress, you rested your elbows on your desk and your head in your hands. The room was silent, but the silence was too loud. Your fingers curled into your scalp, nails digging into your skin, trying to keep the tears from escaping.

Breathe, you thought. Breathe.

But, soon breathing turned into hyperventilating, which drew Jughead’s attention away from the book he had been reading. He quietly marked his page and put the novel to the side. Scooting forward on your bed, he asked, “How are you feeling?”

The thick lump in your throat took a couple of swallows to get down, before you managed to softly sputter, “Completely out of control.”

Jug stood from his spot on your bed and walked to your side, careful not to touch you because he knew at that moment, physical contact was the last thing you wanted. He grabbed ahold of the back of your desk chair, pulling you away from the laptop and spinning you so that you were facing him. Slowly, you lowered your hands from your face, your breathing becoming increasingly ragged as you attempted to steady it.

Jughead’s eyes locked with yours, “(Y/N), I want you to breathe in time with my counting. Okay?”

You nodded.

“One. Two. Three.” In.

“Four. Five. Six.” Out.

“One. Two. Three.” In.

“Four. Five. Six.” Out.

You could feel your heart rate slow as you found yourself gaining control over something once more–your breathing. Closing your eyes, you inhaled and exhaled in time with Jug’s voice. This continued for a few moments before you felt the intrusive thoughts knocking at your mind once more. Eyes flying open, you stared at Jughead, trying to convey to him that you required another distraction–and quickly–without opening your mouth.

He got the message and hurriedly racked his brain for something–anything–that would make your mind go blank. And while he didn’t physically desire to so, he lurched forward and pressed his lips to yours anyway. He could feel your entire form go rigid with shock, and he knew that his tactic had done the trick. His lips remained on yours for another instant before they retreated. Jughead didn’t fear you getting the entirely wrong impression.

He did have feelings for you in a romantic sense–though, that moment may not be the best for revealing how his feelings went past friendship–just not a physical desire. You knew that was how he was, though, which is one of the main reasons the kiss took you completely off guard.

You blinked, “But… you-”

“It distracted you, didn’t it?”

You swallowed and gave a slight nod.

Jug smiled, “Then my plan worked and was worth it. Now, I’m famished. Let’s head to Pop’s.”

If Achilles was only vulnerable in his heel, did that mean he could no-sell getting kicked in the dick? In his spare time, would he go around Greece, challenging guys to kick him in the balls, laughing when it didn't hurt him and then kicking them in the balls?

He absolutely could. And he no doubt did. From town to town, he’d go around as the legendary Marble Eggs, he whose nuts could not be busted (by kicks, anyways, girl’s lips did the trick because he was straight up thot), and it was everyone’s favorite party trick for this asshole to show up at parties and have kick-the-balls challenges.

But one day, he met someone… Just like him.

They kicked each other in the balls for three full days, and none relented. The audience grew terrified as the sky grew pink during the fourth day, before Achilles finally broke the silence.

“Who… Are you!?”

Fred nudged George with a devious smirk. The twins shared a look before turning their attention to you. You were sitting at the same table studying something. Obsessing is was it more closely resembled. You were currently scribbling, not on parchment, but on a bound journal. You were hunched over it, rapidly writing, only stopping to sketch something. Fred leaned closer to George.

“Don’t s’pose that’s a diary?”
George’s eyes glinted. “Wonder what could be in there.”

The twins shared a mischievous glance before slowly lowering their head. They watched as a friend of yours startled you. The twins held in chuckles as you hastily closed the bound book. Your friend continued to whisper to you. A moment later, you were grabbing your things and standing. Another friend caught your attention just as you went to grab the journal. Fred slowly pulled out his wand.

“Accio,” he murmured.

The book started to shuffle toward him. Suddenly, it stopped. The twins glanced up to be met with your arched brow. Unimpressed, you snatched your journal and left with your friend.

“You’re not getting any sneakier,” you called back to them.

How do you think horny Sasuke behaves? He is very reserved person so I can't see him as someone who is straightforward about sex. What do you think? How does he "show" that he wants to have some sexy time with Saku? You are my HC Queen! 😈😈😋

It’s all in the eyes. No questions. He can let her know in public when he’s feeling it because his eyes just shift with subtle heat and Sakura sees it immediately. He’s also never touchy in public, so if ever his hand somehow finds its way to the small of her back in a seemingly innocent touch… yeah it’s really, really not. That’s Sasuke-talk for, “let’s go home right now, because I need to take your clothes off and put my mouth all over you.” :))))

Otherwise if they’re at home and alone, he has no issue with being much more forward. Just one nice, hot kiss with a little bite to her lip usually does the trick, huehue. ;)

Red Lipstick Tips

After you’ve selected a red lipstick to rock, you’re probably asking yourself this question: How exactly do you rock it?

When it comes to wearing red lipstick it’s best to keep the rest of your makeup simple. Bright eyeshadow and red lips can look a little retro whilst super dark smoky eyes can edge on goth. Whilst it’s fine to wear red lips with whatever makeup combination you like, these are a few tips and tricks to try if you’re a little bit shy.

Video Games - NaLu Week 2017

Summary: Hello! This is my one shot for the prompt “Video Games” for @nalu-week this year! Enjoy! <3

Pairing: NaLu (Natsu & Lucy)

Genre: Romance

Word Count: 2091

“Natsu, what are you doing?” Lucy asked, gently placing her bag on the desk whilst her dense friend casually tossed his on the floor.

“What does it look like?” Natsu answered, as if Lucy were the dense one, switching his TV on. “I’m playing a video game.”

“I came round after school so we could do our homework, not play games!” Lucy puffed her cheeks out. She should have expected this, really.

Despite being best friends, Natsu and Lucy had fairly opposite views on certain things; homework was most certainly one of them. Occasionally there would be a rare day where Natsu actually completed his homework with minimal help from Lucy, but most of the time it was Natsu rapidly texting Lucy the morning it was due asking for the answers.

It would definitely irritate anyone, but Lucy had been friends with Natsu long enough to always expect a text from him.

Considering how rare doing homework was for Natsu, Lucy was more than pleased when he invited her round his house after school to, as quoted by the man himself, “do homework or something.”.

Sure it was pretty vague, but just the sound of Natsu saying the word “homework” without a hint of disgust curling off his tongue had excited the blonde.

“C'mon, Luce.” Natsu turned to face her. “We’ve got loads of time. Just one game and then we’ll get to work.”

Lucy let out a heavy sigh, “The one time I actually think you invite me round specifically for homework…”

“Oh, lighten up!” Natsu grinned. “Come on, sit down and play.” He patted the vacant seat next to him.

Lucy, however, shook her head. “Nope. You can get on with that, whereas I have algebra problems to solve.” she planted herself behind Natsu on the table and chairs, taking the sheet of paper out of her bag.

“Ew.” Natsu’s lip curled upwards just by hearing any word related to maths.

Despite being a tad annoyed at her friend, Lucy couldn’t help but let a small smile play at her lips at Natsu’s disgusted sound.

It had been around twenty minutes and Lucy had barely managed to complete the first question. She didn’t know for sure whether Natsu intentionally turned the TV up really loud and was being way too over enthusiastic about the game, but considering how well Lucy knew him, she was pretty certain it was no accident.

“Oh my god, Natsu!” Lucy threw her pen on the table in defeat, standing up abruptly.

Lucy began making her way over and parked herself right next to her friend. “Considering you clearly want me to play that badly,” she picked up the other controller. “One game!”

Natsu’s eyes instantly lit up, grinning widely at his success. “Alright!”

Lucy hated herself slightly for giving in so easily, but there was no way she could sit back for the next hour doing nothing. It was either struggle with the homework, do nothing, or play video games, and Lucy chose video games.

“Okay, so you press that to switch weapons, that one to shoot and-” Natsu began instructing Lucy, until he was interrupted.

“I know how to play.” Lucy answered simply, fidgeting slightly in order to make herself more comfortable.

Natsu blinked in slight shock, but shrugged it off and pressed play.

To Natsu’s complete dismay, Lucy was incredibly skilled at video games, so much so that she’d gotten a killing streak and had won the first round.

“How..?” Natsu questioned out loud.

“We may have been friends for eight years now,” Lucy grinned triumphantly, “but there is still much you have yet to learn about me, Natsu.”

“No kidding.”

“You up for round two?” Lucy asked, completely disregarding her algebra homework in excitement to beat Natsu again.

“Sure, but you’re lucky streak is about to change. Just warning you.” Natsu smirked, focusing intently on the TV.

Four rounds later and Lucy had won every single one, much to Natsu’s annoyance. Every round she won, Lucy would jump up proudly like a little kid, which would humour Natsu momentarily until he remembered he was just beaten.

Fed up of losing but not wanting to accept defeat, Natsu made an attempt to grab another game off the desk. However, Lucy’s keen eye quickly caught on.

“Scared of losing again?” Lucy smirked, leaning over so she could taunt Natsu more.

Natsu froze, one hand holding another game in the air and the other balancing himself on the sofa. He turned to face Lucy, who’s smug expression was not helping Natsu in the slightest. Natsu hated losing. It didn’t matter if it was a video game or his daily brawl with Gray in the cafeteria, he wouldn’t leave until he was victorious… or until the principal would drag them both to his office.

Slowly, Natsu began placing the game back down, Lucy’s eyes following his every move like a hawk. Picking up the controller again, Natsu let out a small breath of amusement, ready to take on another challenge.

“You are on, Heartfilia.”

Needless to say Natsu’s confidence offered him no help in the slightest as Lucy continued to win every game. Although it was amusing seeing Lucy so excited and happy, it was also incredibly irritating.

Natsu had also quickly learnt that Lucy was the type of gamer to move with the controller, so if her player moved to the left, she would also move to the left. This completely limited Natsu’s choice of action, as not only would she continuously bump into him, she would do it chest first.

Lucy’s body moved just as much as her player, and it offered no assistance to Natsu’s already stressed state when Lucy was basically on top of him for half the game.

“I win for the… oh, how many rounds has it been now, Natsu?” Lucy grinned victoriously.

“I win for the seventh time in a row!”

“It’s your fault I’m not winning!” Natsu protested.

“Why? Because I’m too good?” Lucy teased.

“No, because you keep climbing on top of me every round!” Natsu crossed his arms like a child. “It’s very distracting.”

Lucy had hardly noticed she’d been moving that much, and even if she had she never would have thought it would be a hindrance to her friend. However, a disadvantage to Natsu merely meant an advantage for her. Taking the new found information into consideration, Lucy took no hesitation in making the predicament more convenient on her half.

Starting another game without Natsu’s consent, Lucy was clearly already in the lead, catching him off guard.

“Hey!” Natsu called out, quickly grabbing his controller. “That’s playin’ dirty!”

“Really?” Lucy questioned, her eyes drifting from the TV to Natsu. “Is this playing dirty as well?” She began leaning over, even if her player wasn’t, so she could edge closer to Natsu.

“Yes.” Natsu stated simply just as Lucy’s shoulder touched his, although his eyes refused to leave the screen.

“How about this?” Lucy leant closer towards Natsu, however this time she manoeuvred herself so instead her chest pressed up against his arm.

Natsu gulped, though not hard enough for Lucy to have noticed.

Taking his silence as a yes, Lucy smirked and shuffled closer so their legs were touching whilst her chest was still closely pressed against his arm.

“Luce, what’re you doing?” Natsu finally spoke.

“Being distracting,” Lucy put it simply, trying to meet Natsu’s careful gaze. “Is it working?”

Realising the game she was trying to play, Natsu made an attempt to shrug Lucy off of him.

“Nope.” he answered, crossing his arms defiantly.

Lucy, however, only took this as another challenge much like the video game they were playing, and she was not about to lose. Deciding to go a step further, the blonde lifted a leg up and draped it over Natsu’s lap.

“How about now?”

Natsu shook his head, still refusing to meet her gaze.

Lucy lifted her other leg on his lap.

“Surely now?” she teased.

Natsu shook his head again. “You’re gonna have to try a lot harder than that.”

Grinning, Lucy accepted the challenge and hoisted her entire body onto Natsu so she was sitting on him; this made it almost impossible for Natsu to avoid eye contact now.

“Keep trying, Heartfilia.” Natsu said, smiling slightly.

Lucy’s eyes widened slightly, stunned Natsu was reacting so calmly considering she was basically straddling and seducing her best friend. Instead of letting it show, though, the blonde inched her face closer towards Natsu’s until she could feel his breath on her.

“Am I distracting you, Natsu?” Lucy whispered.

Natsu’s expression remained the same, his lips curling upwards into a small smirk. “Not yet.”

Lucy grew slightly irritated that Natsu wasn’t giving in easily, but in his defence he was merely making the game more fun especially on Lucy’s part. Her eyes stayed locked on Natsu’s as Lucy inched even closer so now their foreheads were touching. Figuring that wouldn’t do the trick, Lucy’s lips brushed Natsu’s nose ever so slightly.

Natsu flinched at the sudden touch, and Lucy smirked triumphantly.

“Is this distracting?”

“…No.” Natsu answered, though his voice shook, revealing to Lucy that she was winning.

“How about this?” Lucy barely whispered as her lips travelled to his cheek, planting a kiss there and slowly moving to his lips.

Her lips lingered centimetres from Natsu’s for quite some time, just so Lucy could wait to claim victory. Every now and then she would move her lips forward ever so slightly, then retract them again.

“How about now, Natsu?” Lucy’s breath was warm on his face. “Surely this is distracting?”

That was the only word Natsu spoke before pressing his lips against Lucy’s. It came as a shock to the blonde, causing the pair to stumble back slightly, until she fell in to the kiss and closed her eyes. Natsu’s hands wrapped around Lucy’s hips, pulling her closer whilst her fingers entangled themselves in his pink locks.

Lucy had surprised herself. Never would she have thought that she had the capability to seduce someone, especially her best friend. She’d never really considered having feelings for Natsu, but any coherent thoughts had drifted far from her mind as the pair fell deeper into the kiss and each other.

Allowing a small moan to escape her lips, Lucy pushed herself further against Natsu’s body, pining for more. Her friend made no hesitation in pleasing the blonde, snaking his arms from the small of her back to up her shirt.

Eventually the pair retracted for air, breathing heavily as they stared into one another’s widened eyes. It appeared as a shock to both of them. Lucy never expected Natsu to kiss her. Natsu never expected to kiss Lucy, yet it all came so naturally.

“I-” Natsu began to speak, though not quite sure what he was about to say himself.

Luckily, however, Lucy didn’t allow him to finish as she quickly pressed her lips against his again, desperate for more.

“What do you mean you haven’t completed the homework?” Natsu and Lucy’s teacher loomed down on them intimidatingly, awaiting an excuse.

“We’re really sorry, sir.” Lucy bowed her head down in shame. “I got…” she thought back to last night, “Sidetracked.”

The teacher sighed. “I would expect this from you, Natsu, but Lucy? What could you have possibly been doing that made you forget?”

Lucy’s cheeks tinted pink at the memories. “I-I don’t know, sir. I’m sorry.”

Natsu snorted at Lucy’s stuttering, earning himself a discreet shove from his friend.

“Well, regardless as to what you were up to, the homework is incomplete.” The teacher handed Natsu and Lucy each a sheet of paper. “The pair of you have detention after school today.”

“But I-” Lucy couldn’t finish the sentence, realising she had no way of defending herself.

Their teacher took off, leaving Lucy with her mouth hung open whilst Natsu made a failed attempt to stifle his laugh, thus earning another shove.

“Hey! What was that for?” Natsu stuck his bottom lip out.

“This is your fault. I wanted to do homework last night but you insisted on playing video games!”

“Woah! Video games were barely the half of what we did last night!” Natsu held his hands in front of himself in defence.

Thinking back to the seducing and kissing, Lucy hung her head low as her face heated up. Natsu let out an amused laugh, patting her shoulder.

“What can I say, Luce? I guess you are pretty distracting.” Natsu smirked.

Autumn Gothic

It is eighty degrees and you are dying. You are wearing a wool sweater and corduroys. The leaves are red outside your window. They can smell you. You put on a wool coat, a scarf, a hat, a black plastic garbage bag. Anything to put them off your scent.

Everything proudly proclaims its pumpkin spicery. Coffee, tea, bread, deodorant, body wash, toothpaste, dental floss, razor blades, kitchen knives, shotgun shells, cyanide. “Ooh, yummy.”

Uggs are afoot. A gaggle of twelve-year-olds in leggings and tie dyed camp hoodies get shorter by the step as their boots slurp them up like spaghetti. You avert your eyes. It’ll all be over soon.

You have to buy new socks. You have to buy new socks or something bad will happen. You don’t know what, but you know it’s bad. One pair has a toe in it. You put it back on the rack. Something bad will happen.

The days are getting shorter and the nights longer. Streetlamps watch you while you sleep. Sometimes you wake up under them, arms outstretched in the chilly air, like you’re trying to climb up and touch them. Like a moth to a flame. The lamp flickers. Buzz. You run, but the noise never lessens. You’re almost one with them now.

Monsters disguised as children come to your door. Their eyes are wet and bulging. They lick their lips and say, “Trick or treat.” Their bags sway heavily, casting shadows. Oh, no. The jack'o'lanterns aren’t working.

It’s nice out today. The sidewalk is smooth, the sky is blue, and the screaming from last night seems to have stopped. Across the street, someone jumps around a puddle of marrow. The sacrifice must have worked.

It is only a dead branch tapping at your window. It is only a dead branch lifting the sash. It is only a dead branch skittering across the floor. It is only a dead branch creeping under your sheets, touching your leg with its awful bony twigs that are definitely not fingers. Definitely not teeth. It is only a dead branch.

The old cider mill hasn’t closed down like they said they’d have to last year. “Good harvest,” they say. “Good customers. Good cider.” It is good. Warm and sweet and deep, deep red. You buy a gallon to take home with you. It throbs under your arm.

There are kindergarteners going to school for the first time. They say the letters are hard to read and that the snacks taste funny and nap time only makes them more tired. The weak won’t make it to first grade. The strong won’t mourn them.

The acorns blink at you from the trees. It would be funny, but when they fall and hit you, you aren’t there anymore. Just an ancient oak tree that wasn’t there before.

Red and orange and yellow and brown. Everything is red and orange and yellow and brown. You have to blend into it or you’ll be caught. You wish for another color. You miss your best friend’s blue hair. But blue is an anomaly and it must be destroyed. A speck of it in the sky is gobbled up by fire. You can still hear her screaming.

The hand knit sweater your grandma gave you is so tight, it’s choking you. She asks if you like it. You nod. You can’t breathe. It’s stretching over your whole body and squeezing. She made it just for you, to keep you warm. Don’t you like it? Who wouldn’t like it? She smiles, and you can almost see her mandibles. “What big teeth you have…” you wheeze before your lungs collapse. Grandma’s hungry.

His lips felt soft on your cheek as you dragged him to the car, beard scratching slightly.

You weren’t sure what he drank.

Werewolves weren’t meant to get drunk.

Yet here he was, slumped over, slurring and slobbering all over your cheek, trying to find his way to your lips.

You tried not to let your heart race, or get worked up right now.

It wasn’t him.

This wasn’t what he wanted.

He was drunk. Off his head.

He’d never have done this if he wasn’t in this state.

But he was Derek.

The Derek.
