liking this potential

Im sorry if you've already talked about this but how do you expect the team to react to Shiro's disappearance ? :o I think Keith's reaction will be interesting if you consider his fear of abandonment

I think that honestly a lot of speculation on the team’s reaction hinges on them like.. immediately understanding/accepting that Shiro’s disappearance is a permanent or at least a long-term thing and rather than doing everything to try and find Shiro they need to focus first on being able to hold their positions.

It ignores the idea of the team panicking- which, they would, and all in their separate ways- and the amount of unknowns in the situation. It hit them out of nowhere like a sledgehammer, and I feel like fanworks do a bit of a disservice by not picking up right at that point of impact or shortly afterwards.

  • Jojo: Listen, Mephistopheles, I always used to see you as a creepy jerk, like the human version of rat poison.
  • Mephistopheles: Uh, go on.
  • Jojo: But today, I realized, you’re not a bad guy. You’re just a heartbroken soul who needs love and gloves with fingers.
  • Mephistopheles: Hey, fingerless gloves look awesome!
  • Jojo: No they don’t.

new genre concept: soft apocalypse

the world as we know it has ended and mother nature starts taking back what’s hers. there are no zombies or cannibals or murderous bandits. the most valued members of the community are those who know how to garden and farm, sew and weave, treat wounds, work wood or build with bricks, cook from scratch.

people bond together to begin rebuilding instead of killing each other. everyone teaches each other whatever they do know and works together to figure out the stuff none of them know. books become incredibly valued resources because they’re often the only way to learn critical information. if someone is elderly, disabled, or otherwise unable to work at the same level as most of the community, they’re taken care of by the others, not told any sort of “survival of the fittest” bs.

as the generations ware on, communities begin expanding into small cities. some of the settlements even find ways to repurpose solar or wind power on a small scale and have electricity in some of their buildings. storytellers wander the countryside telling tales of the old world in return for some hot stew or a place to rest for the night, and the mythos of the new world start to incorporate elements of the past. the only thing that remains constant is that humans survive, and they do it by working together.

concept: jack and bitty get engaged, and shitty and tater fight for the privilege to be jack’s best man the way phoebe and rachel battled it out over who would be monica’s maid of honor

Casually adding this to the list of things that I wish had happened

kara and maggie things we’ve been robbed of:

-the “shovel talk”, which would be kara attempting to be intimidating, but maggie is so understanding and straightforward about her intentions with alex that they end up just hanging out and bonding instead.

-supergirl showing up to maggie’s crime scenes unannounced just to “check in” and maggie realizing that kara keeps an eye on her when she’s on the job bc she cares about her safety.

-kara talking about game night and assuming maggie will be there because she’s part of the family now. maggie’s heart swelling at having people who love her.

-kara being all up in sanvers’ business all the time bc she has no concept of boundaries. alex being semi annoyed, and maggie being amused.

-maggie giving kara sound advice about something and kara telling her she’s grateful that now she has two sisters to look to for help.

-both of them getting together for a regular tv night, exchanging theories for the outcome of the show. maggie sitting at her desk the next day loving all the “ooh but what if…” texts from kara.

-kara helping maggie set up a perfect date or surprise for alex. maggie thinking kara will for sure ruin the surprise because of her giggles, but she’s better at keeping secrets than maggie thought.

-kara blowing out her powers one day and maggie not passing up the opportunity to try and beat supergirl at arm wrestling.

-maggie and kara getting to know each other, protecting/supporting each other, and slowly becoming sisters like they should be.

anyone else kinda terrified you’ll never be able to hold a job in the future because of your mental illness

hey, remember when lars:
  • obviously had social anxiety issues and desperately wanted the cool kids to accept him and to fit in
  • didn’t exactly get along on the best of terms with steven, but still wasn’t a complete asshole to him (was visibly apologetic when he made steven angry for insulting his mom, smiled and returned the chest high-five steven gave him)
  • was, as a kid in the flashback in horror club, shown as kind towards ronaldo and accidentally, not on purpose, tore his picture apart due to his major self-esteem issues
  • actually attempted to credit steven for saving the cool kids from rose’s moss despite the fact that he could have taken all the credit due to his desire to be accepted and thought of highly by the cool kids
  • was shown having hidden talents, such as cooking
  • got genuinely concerned over spilling coffee on garnet in the episode future vision and asked if she was okay

had a jerkish, standoffish personality but obviously had many self-esteem related issues underneath it all that could have potentially been fleshed out and allow him to grow to become a wiser, well-rounded character and realize that it’s okay to be yourself? i miss that lars

hannah baker & jessica davis ;; thirteen reasons why

“friendship. it’s complicated. but don’t worry. you won’t go through this alone. that’s not fun. trust me. i’ve been there. now, it won’t always be easy. it might even hurt a bit. or a bit more than a bit. that depends on you. but fear not, we’ll get through this. step by step, tape by tape. you and me. together.

Re: post-spn scoutthoughts.. Am I the only one who thinks that there's something off with mr. Ketch? He comes across as a sociopath, but.. Some things remind me of soulless!Sam.. Mr.K just seems like he can pretend to be a human a bit better than soulless!Sam.. And then there's the question: Why has the tattoo gotten so much screen time? Is it magic? A binding? Mind control? (then again, I might need to try to be a little less insane.. 'cause maybe I'm just seein things that aren't there)

hmm…you know, he’s a character that i feel has potential, and i agree with you on these things. it’d be super interesting if the BMoL removed his soul as an experiment to see if he’d just become a killing machine, because with his soul that was only thing stopping him was a filter, but he is a logical person

alternatives:

  • he went through an embarrassing goth stage but he’s afraid of tattoo removal
  • a Holy British Biker Gang tattoo
  • he’s an ANGEL THAT THE MoL ABDUCTED IN THE EARLY DAYS AND HE’S BEEN BOUND TO THIS VESSEL FOR SO LONG HE NO LONGER REMEMBERS WHAT HE IS AND IT MASKS HIM
