I stared at my reflection in the full length body mirror. In the mirror was a gorgeous girl staring back at me, wearing a Cinderella style dress, the top being a corset style and the bottom flowing out. My brown and brown hair was style in simple braided hair style and my make-up was all natural.
My nerves were all over the place, from being excited to being scared. A year ago I never would have expected to be getting married to the love of my life, who was supposed to be my marrying an ex-friend.
I crumbled up the wedding invite from my friend, Alexia, and her soon to be husband, Harry, who was my best friend and the man I was in love with. The whole wedding was a disaster. She was nothing but a cheating whore. I tried telling Harry a million times but he didn’t believe me. He was blinded by love and I was hoping to stop it before he got in this too deep.
Today was there wedding day, which crushed me. I dressed myself in a cute black halter dress. The top portion of it was tight around the bust and it loosened up around the waist and down. I slipped on my white heels that made my legs look sexy.
I had a certain guy to impress today, so I wanted to make sure I looked damn good. I grabbed my car keys, a dvd, and headed out to my car to drive to the chapel that was holding the ceremony. I pulled into one of the many parking spaces and headed inside.
I avoided Harry until after I handed Bethany, my best girl friend, the disk that had to be played. Harry came up to me as soon as he spotted me. He pulled my into a tight hug and squeezed me.
”I’m so glad you’re here, Leah.” He smiled brightly at me. You won’t be soon, I thought.
“I wouldn’t miss my best friend getting married!” I lied. I wanted nothing more for him to not marry her.
“You look good, trying to impress anyone?” He asked me.
“Always.” I laughed.
Harry went back up to stand at the end of the alter. Some wedding music began to play as Alexia’s bridesmaids began walking down the aisle. Then the wedding march began to play and everyone stood up. Alexia walked down the aisle and once she reached the end, we sat back down.
“We are gathered here today to join Harry Edward Styles and Alexia Rose Garcia in holy matrimony. If anyone objects, please do so now or forever hold your peace.” The preacher said.
“I do!” I stood up from seat.
Harry looked at me funny, Alexia looked like she was ready to kill me, and everyone else began to focus on the dvd that began to play. There were many videos put into one of Alexia and many pictures of her kissing other men, besides Harry. It would prove to him that she was a cheating whore and I was right the whole time.
“I’ve tried for so long to tell you that she was cheating on you and yet you ignored me like I was nothing. I’ve been you’re best friend for 21 years, thanks for believing me!” I said as I walked out of the chapel.
As I was about to open my car door, Harry stopped me and pushed me against my car. He pressed his lips hard against mine and his hands grabbed my hips.
“Thank you for making me realize that you’re the girl I should be with. You’re the girl who I’ve been in love with for years now. I was blinded.” He whispered into my ear.
“Leah, are you ready?” My best friend Bethany asked me as she stood beside me in her dress. It was a simple orange dress that looked stunning against her tanned skin. She was my maid ofhonor.
”I was born ready, love.” I smiled at her as she helped me fix my veil.
I walked out of my room to see my three bridesmaids, Kelly who was standing beside her husband Niall, Grace who was standing beside Zayn, and Grayson who was beside Liam. Their arms were linked so they could walk down the aisle together.
Bethanywalked over to Louis, her fiancé, and linked her arm with his. My dad walked over to me and linked his arm with mine.
“Are you ready to go marry him, babygirl?” He asked me.
“Of course, daddy.” I smiled at him.
The couples began walking down the aisle, putting a few seconds in between them. The wedding march began to play and I walked down the aisle towards my gorgeous fiancé who was smiling brightly at me. My dad let go of my hands and placed them in Harry’s.
“Who gives this girl away?” Asked the preacher.
“We do.” Both my parent said, answering the preacher.
Harry stared into my light brown eyes, making me blush and smile.
“Do you, Harry, take Leah to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, to love and to cherish from this day forward as long as you both shall live?” He asked Harry.
“I do.” Harry said, smiling at me.
“Do you, Leah, take Harry to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, to love and to cherish from this day forward as long as you both shall live?” It was my turn to answer.
“I do.” I replied, grinning widely.
“I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Harry Edward Styles. You may now kiss the bride.”
Harry lifted my veil and kissed me passionately. Ignoring all the cheers from everyone around us, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me, deepening the kiss.
Today was the best day of my life. I will never regret speaking up that day to get the man I was destined to be with.
