I was watching a celebrity news channel & they were talking about how Selena bringing up Justin's performance in Manchester means she's being mature and is over how toxic he is. That's why I don't like Selena lol, she always plays victim and everyone else gets blamed. The relationship with toxic for both, not just Selena & it's obvious she brought J up for headlines. She could stab someone and the media would be like "well it's not Selena's fault, that person shouldn't have made her mad" lol

It’s ok ♥ I’m glad to see ppl interested about Taemin’s AU ;;o;; ♥
Good thing I have a recent doodle of him (which I posted on my IG stories a few days ago)!

Basically ??? only wants to make his father (Saeran) proud of him ((in this AU, we continue from Jumin’s After Ending && Saeran was not rescued and everyone went on with their lives)) – also he steals Saeran’s eyeliner just like how Seojun steals Saeyoung’s makeup for cosplay lmao

*somewhere somehow taemin unknowingly wrecks this ship*

I’ll be posting some more info about them when I get to finishing their ref sheets ((since even im confused w their designs because all i have are doodles and some cgs HAHA)) ^__^ Thank you!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Another thing I love about TAZ, they have (accidentally or not) turned out an interpretation of elves that matches the traditional Mischievous Unknowable Tricksters much more than the Tolkien elves that DnD usually ends up with.

Taako is the foremost example because he’s the main character, but he’s this glamorous, prickly, powerful weirdo with his own specific and slightly off-center moral code. He’s rob a corpse but not a bank. He likes doing things purely to spite other people. He refuses to do what he’s told, and will sometimes do things no one expects for seemingly random reasons. Even more than the rest of the Boys, he’s a very chaotic but in a consistent way. And he feeds off of attention, he’s an entertainer at heart.

Jenkins seems more straight laced, but by the end of his arc he’s a trickster as well. He uses his wits and magic to play a game and that game is called “steal things and kill people”. He makes convoluted plans and even though he has a steady job seems to enjoy the thrill of the “perfect crime”. Like Taako, he’s doing this because he’s bored

Same thing with the possibly elven Sloane. She’s a principled thief in it all for the joy of the chase. She runs illegal races because she enjoys it, and she clearly likes the attention a lot. She’s not high and mighty, she’s a storm of a person who comes in and throws everything off course. She’s unpredictable but does have her own logic- Hurley has a pretty good grasp of her psyche. It’s just not quite the same logic everyone else uses.

Then you have Lydia and Edward, who might not actually be elves but are definitely playing off of expectations of them. Human twins in the forest running a weird magical death game? Suspicious. Dwarves doing the same thing? Super suspicious. But elves are strange and capricious and live for a very long time. Sometimes they just pull stunts like that. And Lydia and Edward definitely play up their garishness and glamour, they use appearances and bright colours and music and gaudiness to distract from what they’re really doing. Only in the final battle do we see them dressing down, they’ve finally put away the props and costumes and are playing for keeps.

They’re a lot more involved in their world and as major characters we know them a lot better, but the elves of The Adventure Zone could easily slide into myths about strange and beautiful creatures who do everything for kicks and can’t be contained or understood.

if you’re gonna shit on ginny because she was a mary sue / “overrated” at least acknowledge that we saw her from the perspective of an incredibly biased person (aka the inventor of denial), of course she’s not actually perfect but there’s a reason she goes from ~ron’s little sister that i do like but isn’t rly relevant to my life i’m sorry also i’m actively ignoring her crush on me so it’s a tiny bit awkward~ to !!! good god what an angel?? like ginny’s beautiful?? and plays quidditch!!! and she’s popular and so funny holy fuck ron would KILL me but.. worth it tbh is this.. … what some people call love??? and that reason is called harry potter who spent a good portion of the final books internally combusting whenever ginny did anything what a nerd

So one thing i’ve noticed about Shiro that i totally and absolutely adore for several reasons (one of them being that it lines up with my hc that Shiro would be an epic Cedric Diggory type hufflepuff in an hp au) is that Shiro is not an OVERprotective type.

Lemme explain why this is good and how.

We know that Shiro is protective of those he loves, I’m not saying he isn’t protective (AHEM STEPPING IN FOR MATT) but what i am saying is that Shiro isn’t SO protective that he belittles the strength and abilities of the people he cares about; which is a trait too often glorified in heroes, especially concerning the male hero to the female.

Exhibit A) S01E10. Allura says that she’s going with them to break into the space base and everyone’s looking at Shiro like “dude you can’t let the princess join us on a such a dangerous mission”

and Shiro’s just like “sure, why not?”

while everyone else reacts like this:

Obviously, because of genre expectations, we would expect Shiro to say something along the lines of “no way we can’t endanger the princess like that” so it comes as a bit of a surprise, a good one of course, when instead of insisting Allura can’t come that he has no issues with it. He doesn’t even look conflicted, he has no idea why Allura shouldn’t be allowed to come! That’s because our little cinnamon role knows what’s up and he understands that Allura is strong, capable woman. At the very least he knows that he has no good reason to assume otherwise (even though there’s some pretty funny scenes once they’re in the base and Allura doesn’t even know how to hold a gun). But you get my point.

To summarize Exhibit A: This scene is a VERY REFRESHING change from the standard “i must protect the princess, the princess is incapable of protecting herself, which means i’m the only one allowed to do dangerous things” narrative. Shiro does not judge a person’s adequacy based on unfounded preconceptions. This is a SUPER important quality in a leader. Also, this means he isn’t sexist.

Exhibit B) S02E12.

Keith offers to be the one to go into the ship to make sure what was supposed to be Thace’s job gets done. Kolivan says it’s a suicide mission and that he would never command anyone so inexperienced do it when Keith replies:

And of course Shiro, being the head of Voltron, is the next person who would have a say in this - who should be the one to talk Keith down. But he doesn’t. Instead he says this:

This demonstrates that Shiro, understanding who Keith is, knows that there is no stopping Keith which means the best thing for Shiro to do is make sure Keith gets to the ship safely.

This is very similar to what he did with Allura. He doesn’t stop her from going on the mission, but insists he goes with her (i didn’t touch on that above but we know that happened).

So let’s just talk about what this means for a second. Shiro cares about Keith. We know he’s totally worried about Keith’s safety because he LITERALLY has to take a breath to COMPOSE HIMSELF before he says this. He does not want Keith to do this, he does not want anyone for that matter to be risking their lives. But this is war. I’m sure Shiro wishes for nothing more than to be able to trust that Thace will do his part. But Keith can’t rely on that, and Shiro knows that he can’t either. And they shouldn’t because they can’t be taking any chances with this fight.

So Shiro lets Keith do what Keith needs to do, what they all need Keith to do. Shiro chooses to trust Keith’s abilities, and doesn’t undermine Keith’s determination. This whole war is bigger than all of them! Keith is not just Shiro’s probably younger friend, Keith is a fellow paladin of Voltron. Keith is his equal, not some helpless child who needs to be kept out of harm’s way and given the least dangerous task because he has no right to be involved or because he doesn’t want Keith to get hurt.

So Shiro says “I’ll give you cover.” Because Shiro protects those he cares about. And because he REALLY TRULY cares about Keith, and Allura, and everyone, he knows what they’re capable of. He trusts them. He doesn’t let his need to protect them belittle them.

OVERALL: I just think this says so much about Shiro and the type of hero role he plays, especially as a leader it is so important that his protective side is not also oppressive. Shiro’s the kind of guy who would die WITH his friends, not just the classic FOR his friends. Shiro doesn’t undermine the people he loves like that, they’re all his equal, they are all capable human (or not human or half human) beings.

If the people he loves wants to fight then they deserve to fight, that’s their right and not his decision to make. But he sure as hell doesn’t have to let them do it alone so he goes with them. He helps them however he can.

And quick flashback to the Matt situation. The only reason Shiro stepped in like that was because Matt clearly did not want to go into the ring. I think if for whatever reason Matt really wanted to fight that dude (maybe for his own revenge or something) Shiro wouldn’t have taken that away from him. But Matt was not ready, Matt was freaking out and Matt did not want to fight. So Shiro did it for him cuz THAT is the Shiro way.

(sorry this was probably way longer than necessary, I’m not very concise but I haven’t seen a post about this so i thought i’d try my hand at making one)

WONDER WOMAN: MORE THAN WONDERFUL

Ever since the first trailer came out, I could not stop waiting for this movie. Finally, on June 1st, it arrived in cinemas.

And even without a night of sleep, I pulled my closest friends to the theater to go see it. What I found? A movie that did not disappoint. Most people always disagree with me when I say I am a DC fan. Seriously? Why do they always have to compare to Marvel? Can’t we all just appreciate the superhero movies equally?

With that being said, let’s take a look at everything I loved about Wonder Woman.

*Warning: Spoilers ahead. *

1. LITTLE DIANA

Bless this beautiful, beautiful child. She did a great job of playing a young Diana. I think the audience gave a collective, “Awww” when she appeared. With her doing cute little kicks and punches, it just added to the overall cuteness. But then she gives you this smirk and you know that the Princess of the Amazons is also a stubborn, sassy little girl who knows what she wants and goes after it.

2. EPIC FIGHT SCENES

The trailer alone showed some great potential in the fight department, but actually seeing everything on the big screen gives you this whole new feeling! It’s the “holy-shit- I- can’t- breathe” feeling. The kind where you stare with eyes wide open because you’re afraid that if you blink, you’re gonna miss something cool. The first few minutes of the movie, with the amazon warriors fighting off Germans on the shores of Themyscira (thank you, Steve) was amazing! We also see Queen Hippolyta and Antiope in action. (side note: my fave part would have to be her jumping onto a make shift shield that Steve grabbed and killing a sniper, taking down the whole top of the church doing so).

Bruce got nothing on that lasso.

3. Steve Trevor

I love Chris Pine. I have loved him ever since he came out in “Princess Diaries 2” and “Just My Luck”, when I was still a teenager in high school. And then he went and became Captain Kirk in Star Trek, and my fangirl heart could not help but love him more. Now, he has proven again how great he is by playing the charming, fearless, and disobedient Captain Steve Trevor.

I’m so glad he chose to do this over Green Lantern! He was great when they were using the Lasso of Truth on him, but the funniest part for me was when Diana dropped by while he was taking a bath.

Diana: Are you a prime example of the average man? (or something like that)

Steve: No, I’m above average.

4. Gal Gadot

Unlike most people, I had nothing against Gal (or her allegedly small boobs *insert snort*) when she was first cast as Wonder Woman. Honestly, I was more concerned with how the story would go, but damn. She proved everyone wrong. She played the role perfectly. Perfectly. I am not joking. I cannot imagine anyone else who would’ve done a spectacular job as her. (And take note, she was pregnant whilst shooting this).

She could be fierce, emotional, humorous. She lighted up the screen, man. Figuratively and literally. And yes, she rocked that costume! Ugh that costume! At first, I was skeptical. After all, I am a big fun of the comics, and I sometimes hate it when they change these iconic things about characters (e.g. Barry Allen not being blonde in the TV series or the movie). But I came to love it. It showed more of her Amazonian roots than her iconic outfit in the animated series before.

5. No Man’s Land

This was the best scene/ segment of the movie for me. I had goosebumps watching her climb up to No Man’s Land. Add that to the fact that Steve tells her the soldiers have been there for nearly a year and haven’t gain an inch, yet she just strolls up there like is a fcking field of lilies and is dodging bullets better than The Matrix. My heart. My fangirl heart.

Everything about it was so right. You have these bleak, grey landscape and yet Wonder Woman is wearing such vibrant colors. Then there are these slow- motion sequence where she’s blocking the bullets like some sort of freaking Jedi. And her shield seems to like glow while she’s getting hit with a machine gun and and and she’s dodging those bombs like they’re nothing. Nothingggggg. Then everyone else follows her and charges at the enemies. And I’m just sitting there like:

Up to now, my feels are still overwhelming. The story was great, the cast was great AND THE DIRECTOR, PATTY JENKINS. YOU ARE A BLESSING FROM GOD. I cannot wait for the Justice League movie. DC got this right, and hopefully, they keep getting it right.

honestly, the lack of empathy that the culture on this website expresses towards famous people blows my mind.

there have been more than a handful of posts attempting to call out Ariana Grande for what happened in Manchester. Like nevermind that she was there and that she has to live with the fact that there are children who are no longer living because they came to see her in concert. Like never mind that she has the rest of a tour to do after her workplace was targeted by a terrorist attack!!!!

like do y’all not realize that there was a terrorist attack at her damn workplace????? She was at work last night! That’s her job!!!!

idk it’s just exhausting… and it’s all written in that ~style~ of writing that you asses use when attempting to downplay someone’s pain and suffering. you know the one… the one that screams “this is said casually, but informed by the fact that i care way too much and i’m so morally better than everyone else it’s honestly laughable”

but like… sometimes… there isn’t a moral better when it comes to famous people. sometimes, they’re just fucking people living their damn lives! y’all have this sick obsession with proving yourselves morally better than others… and famous people are your favorite targets because their lives are pushed out there for public consumption so you feel like every single aspect of it is a way for you to prove your existence is somehow better than theirs.

it’s fucking disgusting and for y’all to use a terrorist attack at someone’s workplace to justify how you’re better than them because yOu wOUld HaVE hANdelED it ~beTTer~ just goes to show how disgusting and not better you all are.

They made him kill his horse.

(long story. TL;DR at the end)

This is a story that my grandfather liked to tell. It’s kind of long, and I can’t say if it’s true, but it seems to fit the very old and cantankerous guy I knew, who never, ever let a grudge go. I mean, in the 1980s and 90s, he would sometimes go and yell at Democratic candidates for office, because Woodrow Wilson had made him fight in WW1.

The story actually starts with that, kind of. You see, Grampa immigrated to the US early enough that the first election he could vote in, he voted for Teddy Roosevelt. Wilson won, though, and then he ran for reelection under the slogan “He Kept Us Out of the War.” Which seemed like a good platform, so my grandfather voted for Wilson. Few months after that, he got us into the war, and a few months after that, my grandfather was in the trenches somewhere in France.

The second the timer on the drying machine went off to alert you of your shirt finally being dry enough to wear, the band from its neckline snapped against your shoulders when you slipped it back on. You pulled some of the cotton material to your nose, trying to see if it still even faintly smelled like beer.

Unlike your underwear which just smelled like cum and farts.

The farts courtesy of Jungkook. Well, you didn’t know if he actually farted, but he just naturally smelled like that to you—like old beans and moldy cheese.

You’d spent the past two hours in the laundry room in nothing but a bra and your loose-fitted skirt. It still hadn’t hit you yet—at least not entirely—that you had let your next-door neighbor spank and bone the living shit out of you. That was something you were going to put on your list of stupid-things-you’ve-done-but-did-anyway-for-some-reason. Maybe his mother could relate after giving birth to him. You were pretty sure she found him just as annoying as you.

Two years ago, Taylor pulled her entire library from Spotify after a dramatic “open letter” to Apple Music about valuing artists work and paying them for it. She didn’t care about herself, she claimed. It made no difference for her. She was valiantly taking on the Big Bads of the music industry like Jimmy Iovine for the sake of the little guy, the artist who relied on album sales to make a living.

What she wouldn’t tell you is that no artist makes money off of album sales if they’re signed to a label. Album sales are money for the label, not the artist. And no, money for the label does NOT mean money for the artist. What she wouldn’t tell you is that she underestimated the staying power of streaming just like almost every other major artist in the industry at the time. She underestimated Spotify and Daniel Ek like everyone else did.

This supposedly “woke” Taylor Swift, who proudly branded herself a feminist and penned manifestos about intellectual property and equal compensation unraveled faster than a rug with a loose thread from a discount bin in the charged political climate of 2016. And that was what she underestimated most of all– 2016’s ability to expose her. Because as much as she wanted to pretend like she’d had some sort of political awakening, she stayed silent in the face of a Trump v. Clinton face off. The reason for that isn’t difficult, her entire family are privileged white people who voted for Trump. She was smart enough to know that publicly aligning herself with someone so against her brand spanking new feminist image would be career suicide so instead she chose the route of silence.

Oh unless we’re not counting the ridiculous spat with Nicki Minaj where she came out looking truly disgusting and ignorant, where her white feminism was blatantly exposed. Or her run-in with Kim and Kanye where once again she exposed herself as a cold, calculating businesswoman instead of her darling best friend image she’d been working nearly her whole life to cultivate and shill. Or the train wreck known as Hiddleswift that was laughably see through even to people who don’t usually scream publicity stunt from the off.

And the combination of the two combined with an ill-timed hiatus has left a sour taste in a lot of mouths. She knows it, and still she chooses the drama play. She only knows how to deal in petty, backhanded headlines about girl spats and beefs and ex-boyfriends. She simply doesn’t have the chops to exist in this industry without using other people as her fodder.

It’s as transparent as freshly Windexed glass that she’s returning to Spotify because she can’t achieve a #1 without it. So much for the little guy. And look, if Taylor made no bones about herself I might be more inclined to respect it. As it is, I’m left remembering what Cristina Yang told Meredith Grey in the first season of Grey’s when she stole a first surgery assist out from underneath her: “You wanna be cutthroat, that’s fine. But don’t pretend you’re everyone’s best friend. At least I’m honest about it.”

the trailer feels very fitting now that  we know this is the final season. everything that happens and everyone involved in these events is interconnected. we have to go back to the past to see how we got to this point, what’d really happened. we’re back to the basics - sana being a boss, looking all-knowing - eva partying it up like back in s1, the girls literally falling into each other just like they fell into being friends. but some things have also changed like isak showing pda and focussing on his bf rather than what others think of him.

it’s clear that friendships and group dynamics will play an important role in sana’s season. her outspokenness might’ve caused temporary rifts between the girls (with vilde in s1) however she’s always been sort of a glue that ultimately brought the girl squad back together (how she stood by vilde through the william thing). and whether her making a small move that figuratively trips noora and unbalances everyone else was accidental or planned it just shows how vital she is to the equilibrium of the squad. it’s also interesting that she seems to be indirectly connected to even (and not through isak!) despite the time and space dividing them so it would make sense if it was meant to represent a possible link between the two of them, maybe from even’s past that finally caught up with him in an unexpected way (symbolized by getting hit in the face).

overall it seemed like julie wanted to show us that the characters have come full circle: she took all the foundations of friendships and relationships built in the previous seasons and see how it affected the group as a whole when one piece got dislodged. i’d like to think that julie will do sana’s character justice by showing us the layers under her carefully constructed tough girl exterior, allowing us see her outside of school, her private life, hobbies, family, religious life, while also tying off all other loose ends and giving all the other characters a proper send off.

This whole “controversy” over Gal Gadot’s “Israeli ties” Is so stupid. She was born in Israel. She was REQUIRED to perform two years of military service. She served as a COMBAT TRAINER. that does not necessarily = killing innocent palestenians. She also wasnt “in the war” whatever that means. And yes, she doesnt like terrorists just like everyone else.

You can be an intersectional feminist and still like her.

i like Gal Gadot a lot. I am a muslim woman. Her nationality is not going to change my opinion of her. My opinions about the Israeli government’s politics are irrelevant. her weapons training only amplifies my respect for her as a “badass woman of color.” Afaik she is not an islamophobe or even really a zionist. She is wonder woman and i am very excited to have her.

JYP: So girls, it turns out that I’m going to be the one that’s going to write and produce your new song.

Twice: [Applause]

JYP: This is our first title track together so does anyone have any suggestions on what the song should be about

Momo: [Raises hand] food!

JYP: ummm thank you Momo. How about something more…meaningful

Sana: How about a love song!

JYP: There’s a start Sana. What kind kind of love song are you thinking about

Sana: It could be about this cute girl and about all the things I’d like to do with her. For example-

Jihyo: SANA NO! sorry PD-nim! She was just kidding hehe

JYP: uhh…alright. How about you Nayeon? As the oldest you probably have a lot of good ideas.

Nayeon: Yes I do! How about a song about how great I am.

JYP: A song about confidence and self-worth? I like it!

Nayeon: No, I meant a song about me, Im Nayeon. About how I’m better than everyone else

JYP: DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY BETTER SUGGESTIONS

Mina: [gently raises hand]

JYP: Ah yes! Mina! You’re always reasonable. What would you suggest?

Mina: A song about being falsely accused and betrayed by ones company.

JYP:

I trust Julie and Iman

Have had a couple thoughts about how Season 4 is coming out and just wanted to share them.

i personally love this season. Julie has already publicly stated how she’s constantly scratching her head on how to keep us intrigued and being one step ahead of us.

She’s done EXACTLY that. Everyone seems to be so invested and hurt by any little thing that happens on SKAM this season, and that’s okay! That’s literally what her intensions are. To make us mad, to make us sad, to make us THINK.

No matter what this season has publicly exposed those who are racist, those who are homophobic and those who are understanding.

That’s GOOD. We live in a world where we should be able to realize that there are things that are wrong and things that should be exposed and talk about things.

I also WHOLE-HEARTILY trust Iman. That girl is so unique. She was so smart to take advantage of an opportunity where she would be allowed to represent a minority in a Western Country.

She KNOWS she has a responsibility.  She wouldn’t have done this if she thought Julie was a white-obsessed supremacist or some shit.

She’s even said that for her to do something like this, she would get hate from her own culture; but she took that chance because she knows that SKAM has an international fan base, and the world NEEDS to understand that being Muslim, doesn’t mean she’s not human or bad. Especially with everything going on right now.

Seeing her curse, being sad, and making misjudgments is only to show that Muslims deal with the same issues that anyone else does. It’s not like Muslim’s have to be perfect all the time? And here she is, showing us that she’s just like any other teenage girl who gets hurt. Yes, her religion is different; and SKAM has shown us that as well. (and I trust that they still will show us more) But never to the point where it consumes who she is, because at the end of the day Muslims are still human, and we all make mistakes.

And SKAM has done JUST THAT.

Fucking amazing.

Thank you Julie and literally everyone else behind it.

You’ve made me think, you’ve made me understand, and you’ve made me want to learn more.

What would Bendy and Alice's interaction in daily life be? Do they fight much or do they get along just fine?

So when Alice is first introduced they don’t get along fantastically. It’s a lot of passive-aggressive sass and rivalry cuz some little shit demon isn’t all that hyped about sharing the spotlight. And Alice sure does enjoy that spotlight, herself. Overtime though, they get used to each other til they become close like they’ve become close with everyone else in the studio. She and Henry are like the least intimidated by him and are most easily to approach him when he’s in a bad mood. In short: daily interaction in more present time is friendly and familiar while interaction in the past is bitter-ish rivalry and being reluctant coworkers.

Myrtle & Draco Friendship

okay but guys it was established in half-blood prince that myrtle sort of comforted draco right?!!! or he confided in her or whatever. “…he’s sensitive, people bully him, too, and he feels lonely and hasn’t got anybody to talk to, and he’s not afraid to show his feelings and cry.” SO i think that they were possibly acquaintances (*whispers* friends) BEFORE it was canonically confirmed in the 6th book. And draco would literally just go up to the girls’ bathroom and bitch about BLOODY POTTAH when everyone else was fed up with his rants and told him to piss off. Myrtle would always listen, intrigued. And in 4th year she would tell draco that she saw harry’s…package (prefects’ bathroom, golden egg and all that) and draco would be like “haha HA HA probably tiny as fuck bloody pottah” and myrtle would just smile slyly and deadpan, “quite the opposite, in fact” and draco would blush furiously and like sHIT?! i might be reallyfuckinggay. And then he would constantly ask myrtle, for academic purposes of course, whether she saw potter naked again and could she, you know, be a LITTLE more descriptive. HE JUST WANTS TO MOCK POTTER OKAY?! He needs deets to be able to do that!!! Shut up!!! Myrtle would totally ship them and lock them in classrooms together all the fucking time. And draco would definitely update her on what they did in there afterwards (as if she wasn’t spying like c'mon this is moaning myrtle)!!! gUYS LIKE AM I THE ONLY ONE?!
