like i said germany was such a good day

Hey so I was wondering, how did you "approach" the families on AuPairWorld? Like, what did you say in your first message? I want to communicate but I have severe social anxiety so I always overthink everything (btw, you inspired me to try to become an au pair as well, I'm so happy that you can finally go to Germany)

my host family actually approached me first! theres an automated message so you dont actually have to write anything if you dont want to but it’s probably a good idea to add a personal touch to the message if it’s a family you’re really keen on becoming a part of. i replied asking if they would like to skype sometime and gave them my username and whatsapp number and we organised to skype 2 days later. we talked for almost an hour and they said they’d love to have me as a big sister for their 3 kids - and that was that!
as for your profile, it’s super important that you have at least a couple of pictures of yourself and that you briefly describe your family, hobbies, and your experience with children as well as why you want to become an au pair. it really helps if you write about yourself in german and then have the english translation underneath, not just because it’ll probably be easier for them to understand, but it also shows your interest in the language and the culture, which is something your potential host family will be looking for - i got almost 20 applications in just a couple of weeks because there are not a lot of native english speakers on there who already speak the language of the country they want to go to so a lot of people were very curious about how i learnt german and why.
i can post what i wrote in my profile as an example here if you think it might help you get an idea of what you should write :~)

Dating Erik Durm Would Include:

  • Who would be the one to get jealous? Both of you. He adamantly hated when guys would flirt with you. Similarly, you would feel self conscious considering how many girls would continuously gawk in his direction.
  • How you two fought? Erik was extremely tactical in his arguments, but his main line of defense was the “silent treatment,” which you actively despised.
  • How you two made up? Romantic, sensual, sex. Erik would do anything in his power to ensure that your post-argument sex was perfect. Everything was gradual and timed flawlessly, so that your pleasure was maximized.
  • How you two would spend time together? Erik needs to feel grounded, consequentially, just having you be near him would put his anxiety at ease. You two love to watch football together, and he secretly loves to watch you do your homework. He thinks your quote-on-quote ‘thinking face’ is adorable.
  • The sex? He never wanted to make you feel like a rag-doll, so he would always make sure your intimate moments were very romantic. He wanted to survey each part of your body, and learn you inside and out.
  • Your morning routine? Naturally, Erik would always wake up first, but he didn’t mind the half-an-hour he spent alone. Watching your chest rise and fall with each inhale and exhale you took, would relax him as he usually passed the time by reading
  • Breakfast/ DinnersYou two both loved having meals together, so on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you cooked breakfast, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays he would. That being said, he never wanted to make you feel like you were doing work “more work,” so on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays he would cook dinner, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, you would.
  • How He’d flirt with you? Leaving little notes on the counter after he left for practice that you’d read before work. “Have a good day at work, Gorgeous, P.S. I bought you new lingerie for I’d love to see you in ;)”

This Thanksgiving I went with my boyfriend to visit his grandma who lives in Nevada. I was kind of nervous to meet her, but when we got there she seemed alright. She’s a tiny little woman with fluffy white hair and this gentle sort of voice that sounds almost like taffy being pulled; that’s the best way I can describe it. She has a gorgeous house and was absolutely loving having us there to show off all the little odds and ends she’s collected over the years (and showing of the view from her cathedral window sitting room; she lives on a mountain and you can see all of the Carson City from the couch). I was still a bit stiff and awkward, trying to gauge how to act around her when, from the muted television in the corner, something about Donald Trump came on screen. She saw it out of the corner of her eye, looked right at us, and said, “What do you all think about Donald Trump?”

Time absolutely froze. In the space of about two seconds, I started weighing my options. She’s an older, upper class, white woman, so the chances she supports Trump are very high. People from her generation can be kind of accidentally bigoted because that’s the way they were raised (not an excuse for that behavior, just a sad fact that we often pick up what we’re around most). I had no reference for where her political views aligned, so I didn’t want to start slamming Trump and possibly offend her, though I really wanted to slam Trump. But I also couldn’t lie and say I liked him because I would burst into flames if I ever told such a lie. I also didn’t want to give a vague response and let her think I liked Trump. But I suck at confrontation, even potential ones, and I did NOT want to get into a political argument with my boy’s Grandma after we’d just gotten there and would be there for 3 more days.

So all that is rolling around my head as I open my mouth to start this sort of non-committal opener to the fact that I think he’s a bigoted pig; but luckily, my boy is much less hesitant about letting his opinions be known even if it might cause an argument, so he goes, “OH. NO. We can’t STAND him. He’s—”

And I watch real close to see how she reacts.

And the biggest, proudest grin spreads across her face, and she nods, and says, “Good. Because if you said you liked him I’d just have to get real quiet and try not to say anything. That man is just…. Oh, words I can’t say, you know?”

And I have never been happier to talk politics with an old white lady in my life.

Turns out, she and her husband traveled and lived all over the world in their day. England, Germany, India, Mexico, France, Ecuador, Brazil, Egypt, New Zealand, and when they lived for 7 years in Saudi Arabia, she worked for various consulates. She is very well versed in world politics and affairs, and absolutely loves learning about other cultures. She also has a degree in Psychology, which she started before she was married and finished after all her children were grown. She’s seriously one of the most open, understanding, and accepting people I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. This woman gives me hope for the world.

(also, her story about moving to Saudi Arabia was adorable. Her husband was a Colonel in the Army, and they were stationed in Georgia when he decided to retire and work full time as an electrical engineer. He had several offers for jobs, and he told her that the best one was with an oil company in Saudi Arabia. And now I quote her directly: “And I said, “Well that sounds like a great opportunity! We’ll get out, and see the world, and… Where in the hell is that?”” She then proceeded to show off her Persian rugs she got while they lived there. Said it took her 3 years of learning bargaining skills to get a normal price. She also said she had wanted to go to Iraq to get them because it was cheaper, but they had closed the borders, so she may or may not have gone illegally just long enough to buy her rugs direct from the suppliers. This lady… XD)

Something To Ask

Request from @lesliekate0502 “Can you do a Sirius x Reader with the quote : ’ When I saw you I fell in love and you smiled because you knew’ by Shakespeare, please?

Thanks for the request! I know its a bit short, but I hope you like it

You had moved from Germany to England over the summer and had to be transferred wizarding schools. You were going into fifth year at Hogwarts and were filled with excitement and anxiety.

You boarded the Hogwarts Express on September first with your school things packed and your confidence peaking. You made two friends that day, Lily Evans and Marlene Mckinnon.

While you were on the train, a pair of boys came into the compartment. Upon seeing them, Lily rolled her eyes and groaned.

“Good morning, Evans! Go out with me?” One of them said. He had messy black hair and glasses, while the other one, particularly handsome, had long black hair and a mischievous smirk.

You looked at him up and down. When you reached his face, you could tell he had done the same to you. He was staring, observing your features like it was a famous painting or something of the sort.

You smirked at this, especially when he opened his mouth to say something, then closed it. He blushed a little bit and raked his fingers through his hair.

“No, Potter. Stop asking.” Lily shook her head.

“Who’s this?” The other boy asked, gesturing to you.

“I’m (Y/N). I transferred from across the channel.” YOu answered.

“Welcome to Great Britain then, (Y?N), I’m Sirius Black, and this is James Potter. I’d love to stay and chat, but I’d better get James back to our compartment before Evans here clocks him in the jaw for ogling at her.” The boy introduced himself. And the pair left.

“He’s charming.” You smiled to yourself.

“Now that you all are back from break, we will be learning more difficult charms…” Professor Flitwick drawled on.

“It’s only the first day back,” You complained to Lily, “we should have an easy day.”

“I second that.” Sirius whispered from beside you.

You had, almost mistakenly befriended the marauders, and dragged Lily along with you in the process. It was a good mistake, you all had the best times together, even if it had only been one semester. However, another mistake was made.

You had fallen for the one and only, Sirius Black. Of course, he was too busy pranking teachers and students, terrorizing Snape with James ad snogging other girls to notice. He did flirt with me, and you flirted back, just fun, nothing else, not for him at least.

“D’you think he’ll notice if we snuck out of class?” Sirius whispered.

“Yes. You’re not that sly.” You told him.

“I bet you could get us out of here.”

“But I wouldn’t because we would get in trouble.”

“Please? I’ll give you a kiss.” He teased.

You blushed bright scarlet.

“As much as I’d love that, still not worth it.” I smiled.

You  went back to listening, the three of you occasionally passing notes.

Later that night after dinner and all of uour classes, you and your friends sat around in the common room talking. Eventually, people started going off to bed, leaving James, Sirius and you alone.

You were busy reading, but looked up every once in a while when you heard shuffling or whispers from James and Sirius’ direction. James was always nudging Sirius and looking over at you. Sirius would shake his head and say something quietly.

After a few minutes of this, James stood up and announced he was going to bed.

“Also, (Y/N), Sirius has a question.”

Sirius kicked James as he left and you put down your book.

“Well, that was awfully boyish.” You chuckled.

“It was, wasn’t it.” Sirius rolled his eyes.

“Well then, have anything to ask?” You said.

“He was being a prick, I don’t have anything to ask.” Sirius looked down.

“You know, I’m normally clueless, but I’d say you’re nervous, or embarrassed.” You teased.

“Well, yeah. Its cause the girl I’ve been in love with since September is sitting in the firelight and looks absolutely stunning.” He shrugged.

You froze.

“Yep. I said I didn’t have anything to ask, but I did have something to say, I guess.”

“Sirius…” You searched for words but your mind was blank. You remembered the day you met. How you knew he was staring at you because he saw something different. You knew you intrigued him at the least. Lily and Marlene teased you about it after they left the train compartment, but you thought nothing of it after a while.

“You see, I’ve built my own reputation, you know it. I snog girls in the halls and move around a lot. But I never had a reason to. This year I’ve done it to distract myself from you, but it leaves me more empty than ever. When I saw you, I fell in love with you, and you smiled, because you knew.”

By the time he had finished saying this, he moved to sit with you. You turned to face him and your faces were so close you could feel his breath. But you couldn’t look at him  in the eyes.

“Well,” You managed to breathe out, “Its a good thing I fancy you too.”

You closed the small gap in between the two of you and your lips touched. There was a spark and you closed your eyes, leaning into the kiss.

You pulled apart and laughed in relief.

“I guess, I did have something to ask,” Sirius said, “will you be my girlfriend?”

Captain Adie here!

So, I’m making a CardVerse au fanfic. It will also be a two book fanfic. That’s something to look forward to, right?
It’s mostly UsUk oriented once again. So, expect lots of awkward romance, and maybe some angst.
The first book will actually be the second book.
Let me explain.
The story line is backwards to say the least.
The first book I will be publishing is what happens after the second book. So, like the end before the beginning. The problem before the explanation.
That sort of thing.

Now, I will be working on the second book before the first book. Which means the first book won’t come out right away.
I feel lonely while making books though. That’s why I’m telling you all this. If you could guess.
So, in the beginning of the second book is the Hearts Arc. It’s basically how the Spadian Kingdom and the Heartin Kingdom meet for the first time. After the King of Spades coronation of course.
Then the Diamonds Arc, Clubs Arc, and Spades Arc. Regular chapters come after. That having been said, Arcs will be like multiple chapters within a chapter. So, they will be longer than regular chapters.
That’s all I have so far. It’s been an uphill battle to figure how it will all play out.
That’s all I have to say for now!
Have a good day!

I DO NOT OWN THE ART. I GOOGLE STUFF. A SOURCE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. NOT ON COMP. BAD QUALITY.

Right now a lot of people are calling me the ‘Street Dog’.. I’m not sure exactly why. Well I know why, because I said it in a promo once, a reference to myself for the particular situation in CZW y’know, I’m like a street dog, saying that I’m hungry and angry and mangy.. whatever. But it was just a sentence and like the next day thats become like my official moniker, it’s like a curse, it follows me everywhere. Every arena with CZW I’ve said like countless times “Stop calling me the Street Dog!!”.. its AWFUL, it just doesnt sound good, it’s terrible, I really hate it. It’s starting to catch on now and people are saying it but I hate it, I think it sucks, and it just follows me everywhere. At a show I’ll like escape it for a while and forget about it, and at another show, it happened in Germany this weekend, Sunday I was there and wrestling Devon Moore and he knows I hate it and right as I’m coming out the German ring announcer goes “The Street Dog!” and Dev looks at me and goes “HAAA!” and I’m like “DAMMIT!! WHY CANT I ESCAPE THIS NAME?!” .. son of a bitch.

Hi Hajimama! Greetings from Germany! First of all I hope you are doing well :) Then to my question: I read on the internet that you said Levi has never had a girlfriend. Is that true? And if so, does that mean he's still a virgin? Now this would be cute. I'm sorry that we're always bothering you with questions like that... Anyway, have a good day!

Yes, Levi never had a girlfriend. But that doesn’t have to mean he’s a virgin. I guess it’s up to you.

May I present to you: The brothers Bujar (12) and Alberto (14) from the country of Montenegro.

I met these two, very friendly boys today on their way to the super store. Both didn’t understand much of what I said, so we used an translation app. So that worked out pretty good.

Both boys are here since 30 days and had to flee from their homeland, becaused they and their family suffered racial defamation back there.

As I know that in these days a great deal of Germans like #Pegida (and many others, that don’t go to demonstrations) are against refugees in our country, I hope that Bujar and Alberto won’t have to flee again. From here.

Keep on, guys. You are the best. Stay strong, whatever may come.
