Takama-Gahara here, I have for you a question. How draw good dergs?

Oh I’ve got you covered:

and there you have your  F E R O C I O U S    B E A S T

But in all seriousness, instructing people on how to draw imaginary creatures is a bit hard, for me at least. A lot of my learning process is based on winging it until it looks okay and makes even a little sense anatomically. I try to look at animals like birds, bats, reptiles, dogs and horses and combine traits of their anatomy into some sort of a mess of a creature. So I’d instruct you to simply start with looking into basic animal anatomy and trying to learn how animals actually work.

There are tons of tutorials that are way better at explaining things than I’ll ever be and they can get you started. Back in my day when I started drawing I was inspired by Todd Lockwood and his art. His creations gave me a good base to start building my art from. I studied the way he drew and shamelessly copied parts of his work until I felt comfortable enough to draw and try different things on my own.

Not being too ambitious when you start out is pretty important, do some simple designs, kinda like the drawing above. Just drawing some simple lizards with bat wings is a good enough start! And remember to practice, practice and practice some moreヾ(´▽`;)ゝ

y'all are very concerned about my alcohol consumption. I’m not answering any more condescending anonymous asks regarding how many calories are in alcohol. I have anorexia. I am well aware of how many calories are in alcohol. I’m already stressed as fuck about it & if you could all stop telling me how shitty it is that’d be great. Thank you.

Some rough sketches which began as a way of practising drawing Jenna in particular, since she is the Series ½ character I find most difficult to draw. Anyway, I started with ‘What if Jenna was a Formula 1 racing driver?’, which is always a good question to start with in any situation, which led to this:

Things You Won't Learn in a Museum Studies Class:

1.) There comes a time when you may have to scrap a dead bird off a historic building.
2.) You also may have to unclog the toilets every once in awhile.
3.) When working next to the police station and city court system, you will see interesting things.
4.) Like convicts escaping, trains derailing, and wedding services.
5.) People will let children touch whatever they want, including you and the painting from the early 1700’s.
6.) People will ask you about ghosts like regular people get asked about the weather.
7.) People also seem to think they can buy artifacts on display and will constantly ask if they can purchase uniforms or the tobacco horn like they’re in a gift shop.
8.) How to run up and down historic stairs in heels and pencil skirts becomes an art form.
9.) When it rains, it pours…at least in old buildings it does. Leak control will be mastered.
10.) People will assume you know the history about everything and everywhere. They will get offended when you do not know the answer. Google becomes key.
11.) For festival days, there will come a time when you talk to over 2,000 people within 7 hours. And you will enjoy it, strangely enough.

please tell me you have a shop and will have those charms online to, because I love the design where he's sitting, it's cute

I will be opening a shop soon and after the upcoming cons the leftovers will be up online. I’ll possibly open pre-orders after that too!

ahhhh Thank you! I am glad people like the designs ; // 7 // ;

2. Ever been in love? A little bit.

3. Had a terrible break-up? Nah.

4. How tall? Like five foot 7 or something? People are always asking and I don’t really know. Like, who measures themselves regularly?

With your finals by now over and Star Wars VII fast approaching I ask: if Dick Grayson existed in the Stars Wars Galaxy, can he be easily tempted into the Dark Side of the Force?

* Mobile users will be happy to hear that it finally occurred to me, that I can link a stashed off-site FAQ in my blog description / sidebar.

* And it only took me a year!!

* Talking about the FAQ, I added another ‘don’t do’ thingy, mostly because of my personal disconnect from the topic in question; real world media.

* Like, guys.. let me be frank with you. Alphys gets ONE type of question:
“Has Alphys seen (insert anime)”

* As someone who’s not familiar with much anime, I am unable to answer any of these questions with enough accuracy to please my standards. This problem doesn’t stop with anime - it goes for movies, video games, basically most references to real world media and pop culture. So, from now on I’d kindly ask you to refrain asking these questions, as I am simply not familiar enough with the topic. Also, ask Alphys better questions. She deserves better.

* Ever so nyehfully yours,

hello! I mean no disrespect at all but I really don't understand your system? I was wondering if you could explain it to me? what's a "median" system? and why are all your headmates cartoons? again, no disrespect intended I just really want to learn so I can understand you better! thanks!

ok here we go this is gonna be a long answer - this is important and took a long time so I would really like mutuals/followers to like this once they read it!

so first off, I do not have headmates! headmates refer to multiple systems which I am not - I am a median system. here is a good picture that can maybe help you visualize the difference between multiple and median:

the best analogy I can come with for my own system (remember every system is different) is if you would imagine a car

my body is the car and I, the host, am the driver and am controlling the car. my facets sit in the backseat and don’t ever drive the car, they just make commentary and watch the road we’re driving on. sometimes, however, one or two of my facets will sit in the passenger seat and while they’re still not driving, they’re closer to me and I can hear them clearer and they can see more of whats going on. they will sometimes give me directions and tell me where they want me to take them/what they want to do/ect

if you think of a singlet, median and multiple as a spectrum I would probably be about here on it:

I hope this helps and makes sense!! no offense taken btw, I appreciate you trying to understand me better!! it shows that you care :3c
