Fly Guy!
Andrew Garfield is SPIDER-MAN
Just way cooler

‘Our superstar sense is tingling. After a breakout 2011 in The Social Network and Never Let Me Go, as well as critically acclaimed run on Broadway, Andrew Garfield is about to go sky (scraper) high in this summer’s superhero blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man. In an exclusive interview in the new issue of GQ, Garfield opens up on his troubled past, his newfound fame and getting in bed with Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.’

With his new movie “The Amazing Spider-Man” set to hit theaters on July 3rd, Andrew Garfield upped his exposure by taking over the cover of the July 2012 issue of British GQ magazine.

The British actor is dating his The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone. Although the pair are fiercely private about their romance, Andrew has confessed that he looks forward to the day when he starts a family.

“I’d love to be a dad!” Andrew excitedly told UK magazine GQ. “I’d love to. But I want to be sure of what my value system is before that happens.”

Andrew has romanced a series of beautiful actresses on the big screen. He has shared on screen kisses with stars including Emma, Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.

The 28-year-old heartthrob realises he is lucky to have worked with such gorgeous women.

“I don’t have any idea how I’ve ended up with all these stunners! It’s quite, ahem, humbling!” he laughed.

Andrew strives to remain out of the public spotlight, admitting he would “prefer not to engage with” being famous.

However, he is often curious about rumours which are circulating about him.

He has joked that his pet dog tries to dissuade from him using Google to find news stories about himself.

The mongrel terrier mix recently put a paw on Andrew’s hand just as he was about to conduct a search.

“[It was as if he was saying] 'No! Don’t do it!’ and I looked at him and said, 'All right. You’re right.’ And I didn’t.” (x)

As a skinny child at school Garfield admits that he was bullied.

“I was very confused when I first went to school and there was a kid who was just mean and I just didn’t understand it, and right into my teenage years, where I would be mugged on the street, or when I was 17 or 18 and I was in drama school and I wouldn’t be able to do anything because there’d be three or four of them and they’d take my wallet, and I’d come home feeling so disempowered and so angry!”

Andrew had been working on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus with Heath when he died. The star still can’t come to terms with the loss and wishes people would be more respectful about his friend.

“All I know is that I love him. I love him. And I think about him often, And I get sick thinking about the speculation around his death. You know, that’s death. It’s the one thing that binds us all. It’s like, let it f**king rest!”

The 28-year-old star shot to fame portraying a former child killer trying to start over in Boy A. He won a series of newcomer awards for his performance, including a best actor BAFTA. Andrew admits he felt overwhelmed by the success and still struggles with fame now.

“That whole night was so shocking and scary,” he recalled about his BAFTA win. “By the time I got home I started to have a panic attack. I had to go out and sit on the steps and look at the sky and say, ‘That’s a cloud. That’s a star. That’s the moon. And that, down there, is a person. And that’s a dog, taking a sh*t.’ It was the result of pure adrenaline fall-off, and the realisation that although the success of the night had felt really nice, it was never going to satisfy me.”

The New Spiderman Andrew Garfield Gets a St. Tropez Glow for the MTV Movie Awards!

The Amazing Spiderman’s Andrew Garfield stepped out to promote his new summer blockbuster at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards and showed off his summer glow thanks to leading international self tan brand St. Tropez.

Celebrity male groomer and makeup artist, Sonia Lee, turned to St. Tropez to give Andrew the most effortless and sunless summer look to kick off the season.

Lee explains, “Andrew has a traditional fair English skin tone, therefore it was important to achieve healthy color with the right products especially now that summer is here.”

In order to keep Andrew’s skin looking refreshed, Lee used St. Tropez Gradual Tan Everyday Body Lotion and Wash Off Instant Glow Face Lotion.

Lee says, “First, we applied the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Everyday Body Lotion in Light Medium all over to give a nice base that would reveal color in a subtle way. It builds gradually over time which I thought was a great option and less risky for someone not used to using self-tanners. Next, I applied the St. Tropez Wash Off Instant Glow Face Lotion to add just a little color to his face. I wanted this all to look as natural as possible.”
