So I can't really think of something profound to ask at the moment, but I did want to compliment your blog. It's so personal and fantastic. What are you looking forward to most this year?

Thank you! I have recently discovered the value of vulnerability. I think that comes across in nearly everything I do and say. At least that’s my hope with this blog. I love to write and I love to interact with people, so this is a great way to do both.

Tumblr and Twitter are my favorite places to be online.

What I’m looking forward to most…

That’s a good but TOUGH question for me. I honestly am not sure I know how to answer that, because I don’t really have a whole lot planned for this year. I guess I’d say that I look forward to the possibility of the year- anything could happen! I guess that and turning 35, because it seems like a really good excuse to throw myself a grand party.

If you could clear up this lacey act. I searched for it but can’t find the one you mentioned. I agree that they’re turning into the same person. Mitt is a spineless goon, and Obama is sketch. But I will say your argument against Obama is weak here.

“The Lacey Act combats trafficking in “illegal” wildlife, fish, and plants. The 2008 Farm Bill (the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008), effective May 22, 2008, amended the Lacey Act by expanding its protection to a broader range of plants and plant products.”

This act is very broad and basically allows government to do whatever it wants in our lives. Take Abner Schoenwetter and his colleagues for example. They were charged with years in federal prison for deporting lobsters in plastic bags instead of cardboard boxes, unintentionally carrying a tiny percentage of impregnated lobsters into the US, and because the LOBSTER TAILS WERE TOO SMALL. I rest my case. Also take the example of the Gibson Guitar factory being raided because they were using a type of wood that they had legal rights to.

As for my Obama argument, I wasn’t really trying to argue against him, just showing how much politicians lie. The fact Mitt and Barack are the same person was really what I wanted to get across… and I kind of got carried away on my little government tangent. But I still do believe that both of them are using lying tactics to fight their way into office, and I believe that the past four years are proof of that.
