This is Elise ( wildest-dreams1989) and Cate ( @iwrotedownoursong1989 ) and we are so excited to be seeing you for the second time this tour in Omaha on October 9th (we’ll be traveling all the way from California)! We saw you the first time in Santa Clara on Night 2, and it was the best night. Ever.
Here are our costumes, which we spent HOURS creating this past summer (with outofthe1989woods our best buddy dancing with us in the last gif). The jackets include hand sewn patches, representing different symbols from swiftie history, including the famous “EW”, Junior Jewels, swan goals, and many, many more. On the back of each jacket is, of course, the 1989 album cover. The shirts have a collage of some of our favorite pictures and moments, and our shoes are even decorated with your lyrics Taylor!
We are in the process of making the flag pictured above to bring with us to Omaha, which similarly to the jackets is hand sewn. We wanted it to look like the posters we brought to Santa Clara (in the gif!) and so it is designed in a similar style. We won’t be able to bring our posters to the show, because they won’t fit in our suitcases (we tried), but we loved dancing around with them in Santa Clara!!! We hope you like them!!
We love you so much Taylor, and you are such an important part of our lives. We never thought we would get the chance to see you again, so when given the opportunity to go to Omaha, we DIED!! (rip)
We will be sitting in Section 104, Row 11, Seats 5-8
We can’t wait to see you Taylor! Thank you for everything!
Elise and Cate
(we’re identical twins by the way… in case you didn’t notice ;) )
George and Olivia, screen cap from Living in the Material World.
On 23 October 1974, George Harrison held a press conference at the Beverly Wiltshire Hotel, confirming his upcoming North American tour… and it was sometime in October 1974 that George and Olivia Trinidad Arias met in person for the first time.
“Olivia came into the picture at just the right time, a crazy, dark time. She is a strong person, and when he fell for her we all agreed that was a good thing. It wasn’t good for him to be on his own, and without her things would have got worse.” - Jim Keltner, Mojo, November 2014
Q: “Was it love at first sight?” Olivia: “Pretty much. We felt it in our hearts from before we met. Even on the phone, we seemed to have some understanding, like you do when you meet the right person. And he was a charmer, such a charmer!” - The Sun, 2009 [x]

“I fell for her immediately. She is a very calming influence. She has been very supportive and we are blissfully happy together. I told her I didn’t want her doing all that typing. We started going with each other, and four years later we married.” - George Harrison, The Mirror, 1 December 2001 [x]

“The lyrics to I Me Mine were known to me long before the October evening in 1974 when I met the man who wrote them. George and I had spoken by telephone many times because I worked for his Dark Horse record label in Los Angeles. Still that first face-to-face meeting, followed by twenty-seven years together, is just as vivid today as the last time I saw his face.” - Olivia Harrison in her introduction to the 2002 edition of I Me Mine [x]
* * *
“I never even thought about the fact that he was a Beatle. George was so humble that honestly when I met him it was just like meeting any other person. He wasn’t a Beatle at that time, and so I never saw that. I only ever saw the person, George. I don’t think we’d have been together so long if it had been any other way.” - Olivia Harrison, The Herald Scotland, 2009 [x]
* * *
“When I first met him, he said, ‘I don’t want you to think you’ve discovered something about me I don’t know. I’m not claiming to be this or that or anything. People think they’ve found you out when, you know, I’m not hiding anything.’ For whatever his, you know, faults were and his… He had karma to work out, and he wasn’t going to come back and be bad, he was going to be good and bad and loving and angry and everything all at once. You know, if someone said to you, ‘Okay, you can go through your life and you can have everything in five lifetimes, or you can have a really intense one and have it in one, and then you can go and be liberated,’ he would have said, 'Give me the one, I’m not coming back here.’” - Olivia Harrison, Living in the Material World [x]

“When George and Pattie separated in 1973, Harrison began having phone conversations with Olivia Trinidad Arias, a young woman who worked at the LA office of his label, Dark Horse Records. 'He told me that he had his chart done and his chart told him that he would meet a dark woman and he assumed it would be an Indian woman,’ says Chris O’Dell. 'So when he met Olivia it was almost ordained by the gods. The first night he flew [to LA] that was it. I don’t think they were ever apart after the first night.’” - Mojo, November 2011 [x]
I finally finished my poster for 1989!!! It took me a total of 12 hours BUT IM REALLY HAPPY WITH HOW IT TURNED OUT.
I’m seeing Taylor in Montreal on July 7th, and I seriously CANNOT WAIT. Over the last few months I’ve been freaking out because it felt like I had no ideas for a cute costume or clever lyrical pun to write on a poster.. It took me awhile, but I finally realized that I might as well draw something!! It’s not really creative, clever, or funny… But I combined my love for drawing and Taylor and I don’t think I could express how much she means to me in any other way.
I know it’s really really small, especially for a “poster”… but I’m going to be in the pit and I don’t know what the poster policies are, so I’m basically going to attempt to sneak it in! I don’t think Taylor will have a chance to see it at the show because she’ll be so busy performing and it really is tiny, so I’m hoping she’ll see it here. It would really truly be a dream if she does see it (OR SIGNS IT but that’s another story and asking for luck I seriously don’t have)
SO taylorswift I hope you like it, and thank you for the past 8 years, they’ve been the best of my life. See you soon 😊💓
Why hello there miss taylorswift !!
I was very inspired by a certain character in a certain music video of yours. The moment I saw it I KNEW it would have to be my tour look. So I created this. I feel like this psychotic icon is my spirit animal. (and I mean that least psychotic way possible, don’t be scared) I can’t wait to join you at your 1989 World Tour July 10 - 11th at MetLife stadium! I’ll be sitting (DANCING) in section 135, row 20, seats 9-10 on Friday and section 233, row 12, seats 16-17 on Saturday. I’ll be shaking and having many moments beside my loving best friend slash relative that will have to put up with me the whole night. Bless. IM SO EXCITED.
I actually can’t believe this is a real life thing that’s happening but I’ll be in Tampa with my sister to see the 1989 World Tour one last time. We’ve been to all of the tours together at Gillette and are SO SO lucky and excited to be going all the way from Massachusetts to Florida to see Taylor again!! After Gillette was over we weren’t ready for that to be our last show and decided to go to Tampa as our 21st birthday present (yes, we’re twins!!) We’ll be up in section 305! SEE EVERYONE THERE so excited can’t wait ok bye. love you lots Taylor! see you so soooon taylorswift tree-paine
This is the best I’ve ever looked during an 8am class. (Not that that’s saying much lmao.) Also I hope no one saw me taking these photos I would die.
On another note, Troye’s LA concert (the first of two) is tonight and I’m so excited I finally get to see him in concert!! (Hence the WILD sweater - I’d wear a Blue Neighbourhood sweater if I had one.)
I’m so excited every night that is a 1989 tour night! It really brings the tour alive checking out all of the posts people share of their experiences! I love getting to see all of the incredible video clips and everyone dressed up in cool outfits. Tour nights are my happy nights!
Exactly two years ago, may 4th 2013, I got to see taylorswift live for the first time. It was the most magical experience of my life and I miss the red tour so much, but I’m so excited for the 1989 tour.
