library reading books

Gay culture is finding a book with a gay character and having to re-read that sentence over and over again to make sure you read it correctly and that that character really is gay, not believing you found actual nice representation.

Keep reading. Read during your break at work, before bed, on the bus, in the waiting room. Read at the table, in the lunchroom.
Make time.
You won’t regret it.

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though.”
