liberal national

I’m really wary of imagery like this

because I’m positive that liberals are in the process of leveraging the implied sentiment to oppose anti-establishment leftists too. In other words, Trump is an anti-establishment monster who is tearing down the beautiful values that this nation stands for, and leftists are likewise getting scarier when they declare things like “America was never great”. Liberal nationalism is one of our primary hurdles to overcome, this idea that America is (and always has been) a bastion of equality and progressive values. It’s powerful ideology, stuff that will keep millions locked in ineffective centrism over the next few decades.

I know an image like this

will absolutely haunt the liberal imagination in the decades to come, the horseshoe ghost hanging over their shoulders – fascists ready to turn ever-progressive America into an unprecedented tyranny for the few, leftists ready to turn lawful America into chaotic mob rule that only works in theory. After all, if you want legitimacy in the capitalist electoral system (as liberals do), you will absolutely condemn grassroots organizers, socialists, and the like in terms that this second image implies, especially in the decades to come.

I saw a lot of this at the recent pro-immigration rally a week ago – people all over the place carrying signs with stuff like the Statue of Liberty weeping, implying that this isn’t what America stands for. One of the core goals of the leftist project ought to be to help people realize that, yes, immigration bans and racism are what America has historically stood for – at least in the sense of the American capitalist/imperialist state, because I do realize there has been beautiful resistance and solidarity among the masses over the centuries. The history is clear: America is built on centuries of genocide and enslavement, inequality and domination coursing through its veins.

The American exceptionalism is unhelpful at best and super reactionary at worst. Abandon the Lady Liberty imagery and realize that we are already that tyrannical empire to most of the world, not this plucky melting-pot nation of progressive values.

I don’t care what you believe. As long as you aren’t going out and hurting people or advocating for people to get hurt, I’m cool with you. I wouldn’t be able to get every single person to agree with me, anyway, so we may as well coexist in peace.

Kapetanissa Sarika (Sara Yeshua), partisan leader of the women’s platoon of the Greek People’s Liberation Army’s 7th division, posing with fellow EAM fighters and a revolver, October 1944.

Born in the Jewish quarter of Chalkida in 1927, Sara Yeshua belongs to the emblematic figures of the resistance. Before she turned 15, Sara assisted the wounded at the city’s military hospital as a volunteer nurse. From the beginning of the German occupation (October 1943), she got involved with Greece’s National Liberation Front, took her mother and left Chalkida for Steni.

To guard against German incursions against the Jews who had fled to the mountains, the resistance dispersed the Jews in various villages (Paliouras, Theologos, Stropones, Vasiliko) and later organised an escape network by boat to Turkey from Tsakei beach. Sara was well regarded by her fellow resistance fighters as a passionate speaker advocating for armed struggle against the occupation forces, particularly among young women. At 17, after the horrific murder of her cousin, Mendi Moschovitz, by the Security Battalions in Stropones (4 March 1944) and the burning of Kourkouloi, she formed an independent female resistance group that fought and gathered intelligence. Armed with Molotov cocktails, they attacked outlying sites to draw the Germans away from the main target, and aided in the capture of collaborators.  By the end of the war, she was legendary among the partisans of Evia, Greece, as “Kapetanissa Sarika” (Partisan Leader Sara).

1984 is returning to 200 cinemas in protest of Donald Trump
After Donald Trump stepped into the White House, the novel 1984 flew off the shelves and became the number one bestseller on Amazon. Now almost 200 cinemas around the US and other parts of the world are planning a simultaneous screening of George Orwell’s dystopian classic in protest at the new President.

This is actually quite funny because:

  • it’s the Leftists who police language: Newspeak.
  • It’s the Leftists who police beliefs: Thoughtcrime.
  • It’s the Leftists who have delusional beliefs not based in reality: 2 + 2 = 5.
  • It’s the Leftists who engage in contradictory beliefs: Doublethink.

Examples:

  • Newspeak: The Left has created a defined grammar and language for people and failure to use it results in verbal abuse and harassment. Two good examples are the use of the terms “Person of Color” and insistence on the use of special pronouns “Ze/zir/zirs”. Misgendering someone is a serious offense.
  • Thoughtcrime: The Left has blacklisted a plethora of beliefs and ideas as unacceptable. Belief in the existence of race as a biological reality. Belief in the existence of sex as a biological reality. Belief that transsexualism is a mental disorder. Belief that diversity is undesirable. Any of these positions will get you mercilessly harassed by Leftists (in person you may receive a beating).
  • 2 + 2 = 5: The Left has erected all kinds of dogmatic belief systems that one must believe. You must believe homosexuality is acceptable. You must believe feminism was and is a force for good. You must believe in all kinds of privilege, most notably White privilege and male privilege. You must believe that diversity is a strength.
  • Doublethink: This is highly related to 2 + 2 = 5. While the prevailing dogma is that sex is a social construct, one must also believe that a man can remove his genitalia, pump himself full of female hormones, and become a woman.

The Left lacks self-awareness to the point that they can sit around and watch 1984 and think “Wow, this is exactly like Donald Trump!”

So I’m sure that a fair number of people have seen the above post (sorry I don’t know who the op is but credit goes to them. I got his off of pinterest orz), and it got me thinking and overanalyzing, right? And so I keep asking “Where in the hell were the Gems getting the money to pay for the house before Greg became a millionaire?” And so then I start remembering stuff and so here’s my theory, and it gets more profound than just where the Gems are getting money. The Crystal Gems are the freaking Founding Mothers of America.

So for one, Rose Quartz has a giant penny in her armory. I’m still not entirely sure what to make of it, as when I googled “Giant penny”, most of what came up were pannels of a Batman comic where one was used as…a restraining device? Decoration? I’m not sure? Anyways, that’s most all that came up adisdes form a massive work of art that was one giant penny made up of thousands of smaller pennies. My inital thought is, however, that it was bestowed upon Rose Quartz as an honor. (Unliss she just uses it to roll over enemies in battle, which is actually what came to mind the first time I saw the episode lol.)

But far, far more importantly, we have seen Pearl on coins in the show. Legal tender type coins.

Pretty famous image, if  I’m not mistaken. (I also could have sworn up and down that I saw a screenshot one time that had a coin in it that had Opal on it, but maybe it was fake. I can’t find it anymore.)

Now people don’t ge tput on coins unless they heavily influenced American history. (granted I’m hella salty that Andrew Jackson is on our money and Marquis de Llafayette is not, but ya know, whatever.) On top of that, the visage of a gem takes the place of our Illuminati (or whatever it is) pyramid and eye on our own American Dollars in the world of Steven Universe.

Gems were clearly influential somehow. To America specifically, as they see fit to place them on the legal tender.

Now, back moreso onto how the Gems get money, in “Rising Tides, Crashing Skies”, Mayor Dewey freaks out at the word “cover” when talking to Raynaldo, shouting “Cover up? What cover up!? SECURITY!!” I thought this was just a gag at conspiracy humor at first, because it just added to Raynaldo’s whole conspiracy reality and it was funny. But thinking about it now, seems like it’s far from just a gag.

(also sorry the subs are in Spanish, lol. They just happened to be the most convenient videos I found.)

So this bit’s just speculation for the most part, but like, what if the American Government is supplying the Crystal Gems with money because they basically owe it to them. I mean, the spent over two hundred years since the country was founded likely without asking for anything in return, then here they are suddenly needing to build a house and pay light and water bills and groceries and APPARENTLY give their new son a smartphone. And it’s no tlike they can exactly turn down the 6,000+ year old women and the 5,000+ year old girl who was born inside your borders that also happened to liberate your entire nation from its oppressive colonizers from far away. Sounds like something right up the Crystal Gem’s alley imo.

What if what Dewey was trying to cover  up was the fact that Beach City’s taxpayer dollars were going to housing a trio of jobless women raising a son that they can’t afford on their own because they don’t even need to eat and therefore don’t even need jobs?

Idk it’s a fun thought. And it explains a lot. If nothing else just spread the word that the Crystal Gems are the Founding Mothers of America ok because this calls for its own musical

  • Liberal: Indigenous cultures need to be preserved. This is a rich heritage that's being wiped away by Western culture!
  • European Nationalist: European cultures need to be preserved. Our rich heritage is being wiped away by multiculturalism.
  • Liberal: Don't be racist! Cultures die and change all the time. You just hate POC.
