lib style

I have a few photos of this lady I’ll be sharing a few posts.

I love the fishnets and the fluffy coat and the earth nude tones to the whole look. It’s perfect for LIB.

Lightning in a Bottle, 2017

I reflect therefore I am…aware of the cycles that ebb and flow. Through me. In a time of review-a milestone of 5 years attending LIB, I wonder if I have come any further or if I have wandered any farther from my truth. If the only foundation is certain transformation how can I trust the ground will be steady beneath me?
LIB was all uphill for me this year. From the ride in, battling the harsh onset of my period and hearing the painful news of Dream Rockwell’s absence from the festival. Perhaps in the power of the new moon was the opportunity to face this darkness. To realize I was never in it just for the party. It’s always been about the feeling of hope and possibility for positive change that infused the entirety of this movement. Yet just as there were clouds present for the first time in the sky, the sense of overcast echoed throughout my experience of the weekend.
What is my role in all of this? And how will I rise to fill it?

For one, I renew my commitment to shining my light as embodiment of the divine feminine. In a profound meditation led by Goddess Rising Sisterhood, I was gifted the encouragement to adorn myself in honor of my body as a celebration of the feminine cycle as sacred.

I am appreciative of the synchronistic alignment required to partner with festival wear creatrix Prancy Kat in this time of profound need for reclamation of my body as an altar to the Goddess. Thank you for allowing me to adorn myself in your kaleidoscopic swimsuits.

More reflection to come.

Thor: Ragnarok Director Taika Waititi Says ‘About 80 Percent’ Of The Film Was Improvised

'I’ll straight-up give Anthony Hopkins a line reading,’ Waititi says. 'I don’t care.’

A critically acclaimed director, screenwriter, and comedian, Taika Waititi is a man of many talents. And now he can add zen life coach to his ever-expanding resume.

When MTV News caught up with Waititi following the Marvel Studios presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 22), where his first major Hollywood film, Thor: Ragnarok, debuted a colorful new trailer, he couldn’t have been more chill about the whole thing. But that’s just the kind of guy Waititi is, which makes him a awesome boss for Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo.

“Why come to work and stress out?” Waititi told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz of the “very loose and collaborate mood” he fostered on the set of the third Thor movie. “I’m trying to bring my tone and sensibility from my other films.”

In doing so, Waititi would encourage his cast to play music on set, dance, eat together, and, most importantly, improv. According to the acclaimed indie director, 80 percent of Thor: Ragnarok was improvised, or ad-libbed.

“My style of working is I’ll often be behind the camera, or right next to the camera yelling words at people, like, 'Say this, say this! Say it this way!’” he said. “I’ll straight-up give Anthony Hopkins a line reading. I don’t care.”

It’s that kind of attitude and loose style that landed Waititi the job in the first place, and given the film’s rapturous reception in Hall H, it’s clearly paying off for Marvel — even though in the moment, there were numerous times when Waititi and the cast thought they were all going to be fired.

“Mark Ruffalo would be finished shooting for the day,” Waititi recalled, “and he’d come up to me and he’d be like, 'Why have we not been fired yet? We are doing the most insane stuff in this film, so where’s the phone call?’”

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters November 3, 2017.

“the problem with today’s country music is that instead of people actually telling their stories, you just get a bunch of millionaire metrosexuals that have never done a hard day’s work in their lives, but they’ve figured out the words and phrases they can use to pander to their audience, and they list the same words and phrases off, sort of mad-lib style, raking in millions of dollars from actual working class people. you know the words, you know the phrases. phrases like…”

[Interview] M Lee Minwoo enduring through time, is he not a true professional?

To work in any area for more than 10 years is definitely not something easy. It is even harder for a person who has promoted as a group to be able to maintain his popularity as a soloist for 10 years. However group Shinhwa’s member Lee Minwoo is welcoming Shinhwa’s 16th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of his solo debut in 2014. As a group, and also as soloist M, he has maintained his true self. And for someone like him, his solo debut 10th anniversary commemorative special album “M+TEN” released on the 6th contains the strength that has helped him endure through time.

Special album ’M+TEN’s’ title song ‘Taxi’ contains Lee Minwoo’s skills as someone who has endured through time. A different attempt to sing with a dreamlike vocal, as if he is drunk, lyrics and music video which contain dream-like happenings that occur within a taxi etc, at his mid-30s, Lee Minwoo’s ease, glamour and performance are all contained in it. Despite entering his 17th year, his instinct for not losing out on trendiness also shines.

Lee Minwoo is full of confidence. “Because it’s been more than 10 years, I’ve put in everything that I can do”, acknowledging on his own that he is a veteran, and also generously giving his sincere advice to his juniors. However, while expressing his gratitude to Shinhwa, who created his present, and fans, who’re representative as creating legends (Shinhwa Changjo), he maintains humility. He was not arrogant. Not forgetting his original mindset and the power to continuously grow himself, isn’t he a true professional?

Q: Firstly, what are your thoughts on coming back as a soloist after 5 years?

Lee Minwoo: Because the team called Shinhwa exists, so it is possible for M the soloist, and I never expected that time spent as M will reach 10 years. Just like how you’d think “So much time has passed? You’re already a middle school student?” when looking at your young nephew, growth is something that you’re unaware of. That’s why I thought I had to make a special album that fits my 10th anniversary, and I’m eagerly anticipating it. Because I’m bringing performances that is different from the norm, apart from fans, I’m curious and excited to see the public’s reactions. It’s like the feeling you have when school holidays end, buying new stationary before school reopens and then going to school. I think there’ll be new friends. Of course there’ll be lots of young juniors… (laughs)

Q: Including boy groups, there are really many teams prepping for a February comeback.

Lee Minwoo: I didn’t care about what kind of team will be coming back. There’s also Lee Sunhee sunbaenim, Bobby Kim hyung etc. Because I’m close with Bobby Kim hyung so I felt relieved and I think I’ll be less bored. He’ll be promoting with a repeat student feeling just like me. (laughs) To be honest, I don’t feel burdened. I didn’t release this to battle it out, it is an album to commemorate my 10th anniversary and just so happens that I feel that this timing is right so I’ve released it, it is more meaningful in that sense so I intend to enjoy the stage before stepping off. Also, there aren’t a lot of soloists, the idol market has widened greatly and whilst the dynamics are changing, Shinhwa is welcoming our 16th anniversary, and I’m also the only one from amongst the 1st generation that is promoting as a soloist. I hope that when looking at me, many juniors will think differently and gain confidence.

Q: Shinhwa’s 11th full album’s “This Love” that was released last year performed really well. Aren’t you eager for a win?

Lee Minwoo: I truly have no greed for a win. In the past, because I wanted to show more of myself, I’d think 'if I do this there’ll be a ripple effect’, 'What is charismatic?’, and gave my all to powerful performances, but now, it feels like I’m promoting together with the fans. For this promotions, I’m promoting while thinking of the fans as my second member, so I’m not anticipating a win. However, the fans are acting so that I can carry out my open promise on a win. (laughs) Even if they’re just saying it, I’m satisfied and thankful. Also, even though the pre-recording for music shows is held at an early time and the weather is cold, when I look at the fans who’ve come to cheer on me, I wonder if Shinhwa Changjos, Orange Princesses are invincible. (laughs)

Art meme ideas that would be cool/probably exist/should exist?

Copycat!: Artists make requests for each other, but they have to copy the style of who’s making what request. i.e:  if Jimmy asks for an ostrich dancing to 80’s music, you have to copy Jimmy’s style. In return, you ask for a dinosaur blending a caveman smoothie, Jimmy must copy your style.

WIP it Good: 2(+) artists choose one of their WIP’s and the other artist(s) finish them for each other.

Giffy in a Jiffy: Artists choose their favorite work, and everyone animates them in a simple, goofy gif

Because 7 8 9: 3 artists choose their favorite 1-panel work, the other two draw the sequel/prequel panels and form a comic (Each should have 1 sequel panel and 1 prequel panel to draw) could be planned, or ad-libbed comic jam style.

What Has Science Done?!: Everyone pick your favorite animal/monster/character, then COMBINE THEM. Now everyone in the party has to draw their own interpretation of it.

…idk these sounded fun in my head

Dear Angry Anon-

I haven’t gotten a message from you yet, and I have to admit to feeling a bit disappointed by it!  At first, I thought maybe I just wasn’t in the ‘cool’ crowd, but then I realized that the truth must be that my works are just too smutty for you, and you just can’t find the words.  I’m sure other authors are feeling the same way - at this point, getting a message from you is like a rite of passage!  So, I decided to help you out.  Here’s a mad-libs style form letter for you to use:

[USERNAME], your writing/art is [bad, terrible, awful, atrocious, ghastly, horrendous, vile].  Your characterization/drawing of [NPC NAME] was [stiff, unrealistic, out of character, ridiculous].  [CHOOSE ONE: “You rely on smut as a crutch.” “The sex was unnecessary.” “I don’t think [NPC NAME] would actually ever have sex.”]  You shouldn’t write/draw ever again.  -Angry Anon

I hope that helps and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

  • Be vulnerable-Wear glasses even if you don’t need them. Writing is about being vulnerable and nothing screams vulnerability like poor vision.
  • Be relatable-The best way to do this is Mad Libs style. Leave out nouns, verbs and adjectives so any reader can fill it in for him/herself and therefore your piece will always be relevant.
  • Spell check-Rely on spell checking programs. Computers are smarter than people. When they take over the world, you will want to be on their good side. Put all of your faith (and money) in computers.
  • Avoid wordiness-Delete unnecessary words like “the” or “a” readers will get the gist of what you are saying and basic comprehension is what matters most.
  • Grab the readers attention-Open each piece with tragic and true facts. Here are some example openings: “HELLO. Most of the lifeboats that were launched off the Titanic were not filled to capacity.” or “LISTEN UP if you wash towels with underwear there is a good chance they will be contaminated with feces.”

I hope these tips are (adjective). Best of luck (-ing verb)!
