It’s been a year already…

Not a lot has changed, it still hurts to reminded. I think the only thing that has changed about me is that i don’t cry about it anymore, just feel numb, the tears ran out. Yesterday we could still say he was alive this time last year, however this isn’t the case anymore. When I first heard the news I was about to head into my first GCSE exam, I broke down in tears. This was a person who I admired, who I wished to meet one day, gone. Because of cancer… I’ve lost so many people who I care about to cancer, and this just added to the list. My friends comforted me and helped me through that pain, even though it never truly left, they helped me smile again.

Alan work has changed many peoples lives, he was and is peoples inspirations: Matthew lewis said “Alan Rickman told me to do a play, and I did, you can’t say no to Alan Rickman”.

Daniel Radcliffe said “He would always be at theatre plays I did, it made me feel so proud”.

Tom Felton said “He was amazing to work with, so intimidating, it took me year to work up the courage just to say, Good morning Alan”.

Evanna Lynch said “He gave me the loveliest acting advice I’ve ever gotten, ‘People think that they’re watching this’ he said waving his hand in front of his face, 'but really they’re watching this’ and he pounded his fist on his heart centre.”

Rupert Grint said “I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to work with him on numerous occasions – Even though he has gone – I will always hear his voice”.

Ralph Fiennes said “His spirit and great generosity live on the hearts of everyone who knew him – and of course in his brilliant work. A unique Actor – Funny, acutely perceptive, extraordinarily loyal and giving – Alan cared”.

Emma Thompson said “I couldn’t wait to see what he was going to do with his face next. I consider myself hugely privileged to have worked with him so many times and to have been directed by him.
He was the ultimate ally. In life, art and politics. I trusted him absolutely”.

Thank you Alan Rickman, you won’t be forgotten… RIP

While in NYC taking my daughter to see One Direction on the Today Show, I met an actor from Boardwalk Empire!!! His name is Lewis Thompson, and he has appeared as Chalky’s bodyguard in Season 3 (Episodes 11 and 12) and is now employed at the Onyx Club in Season 4. According to Lewis, Michael K is one of the nicest guys in the biz, besides being an incredible actor. CANNOT WAIT to see the both of them this season!

Glad my daughter wasn’t the only one who got to do some fangirling… ;-)

Charles Boswell and Lewis Thompson, The Girls in the Nightmare House, 1955.

IT WAS A GREAT GLOOMY monster of a house and he sat in it as a voracious spider sits in his web…

The Girls in Nightmare House is actually a telling of the story of Chicago’s notorious serial murderer H.H. Holmes.
