—   A Letter Written By Tupac From Jail

Dear Tupac Shakur,

You are truly one of the greatest human beings to ever exist.
From your music, to your poetry, to your acting, to your words of wisdom, you’ve inspired me in ways that I can’t explain.
You’ve taught me more about life than any teacher ever could.
It’s still hard to believe that it’s been 19 years since God took you away from this cruel world.
Everytime I watch your videos and play your songs, it feels like you’re still here.
So much has changed since you’ve been gone, you’d be disgusted to see what society and hip hop music has become.
You once said “I’m not saying I’m gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world”.
Well you DID change the world, and in the process, you inspired young minorities such as myself to do the same.
You were right, none of us will make it through this hell unless we have something to fight for.
I pray that one day I’ll be able to shake your hand and kick it with you in Thugz Mansion hahaha.
Until then, I’ll be screaming “Thug Life” and doing everything in my power to keep alive all those things you fought so hard for.
I hope you look at my career and know that you’ve played a major role in how I’ve developed as a man.
Thank you for speaking your mind and setting an example of what it truly means to be a rebel. Rest In Peace Soldier.

Sincerely,

- Ralph Martinez
