lets be honest there is only one reason why people watch this movie.

High School In Review (so far)+ Some Tips!!!

Hello everyone! I’m Niva and I am a student of the High School class of 2019.

Now I’ve been in high school for 2 years now, so I think that can give some pretty solid advice to ya little upcoming freshman and any person who is still struggling in high school. So buckle up ya seat belts and put on some shades, cause we’re about to take a LONG ride

I know there are tons of freshman advice videos and posts out here on tumblr dot com, so I’m gonna try and make mine unique

*Note: My HS experience is unique; your may not need any of these tips, so who knows. Also, this post contains profanity. I don’t know if y’all care, it just seems that the studyblr community are all these sweet angels who attend church every Sunday and read the Bible in their spare time.

~=+=~FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORE YEAR~=+=~

my freshman overview: Look, this year was hardest compared to my sophomore year. One class literally ruined my life, my dudes. {humble brag} Throughout my entire life from PreK to 8th Grade, I had gotten straight A’s on all my report cards. My freshman year, I decided to take AP World History and BOY did it crush me. I made a C in the class first semester and a B in the second semester. Now, it was not the teacher at fault. In fact, I LOVED the teacher. I just was not interested in that class at all and the work matched with me being in Marching Band nearly sent me to my death bed. I’m not trying to scare you, I’m just being 100% legit. This is also a PSA to all freshman offered to take APWH: This is one of the harder AP courses, and I wish one of my teachers had told me this before I decided to take the class (they probably did and I ignored them). This also was my first year in marching band and I’m telling you right now, if you’re wondering whether or not you should do marching band, do it. Even if you just do it for one year, it’s fuckin worth it mate.

my sophomore overview: This year was SIGNIFICANTLY easier. During my freshman year, the way the schedule was set up was an A/B schedule; your schedule would alternate. On A days, you’d have these 4 classes and on B day, another 4. My sophomore year, they changed that and it was a bit easier for me. Not that I didn’t like the A/B schedule (I loved it), it was just a lot easier to manage classes. I only had one AP class this year, because I couldn’t take AP Lang because of schedule conflicts. ANTYWAYS, AP Gov is one of the easiest classes I took. My teacher was extremely chill and put a curve on every test and quiz, so that’s mainly why I didn’t fail. Marching band was much easier to handle since I already had experience. This was also the year I quit TSA (technology student association) and VEX Robotics, due to scheduling conflicts with band. And, to be quite honest, neither of the clubs were fun lmao. Literature class was annoying, because I got stuck in a class that DIDNT WANNA DO ANYTHING. They didn’t wanna read along, read at all, do projects, breathe, etc. (if you need tips on how to handle a trash class, just ask and I might make a post on that lol). Chemistry was purgatory, not hell, just purgatory. It was hard but not too hard that I didn’t pass. Math has never been hard for me so nothing really changed with that class. This year I brought back my streak of All A’s, so this school year was the best of the two in my eyes.

~=+=~The TIPS~=+=~

1. Normally, freshman don’t take AP classes, but if you are, be prepared. Depending on the class subject, you’re gonna have to do a hell of a lot more than just read the chapters once and do one page of notes. Try to always be ahead of the class and start some sort of study group.

2. You’re best friend does not need to be your project partner all of the time. Seriously. If you have friends like mine, you will sit on your phone looking at memes on twitter for a long ass time before you ever start your project. Try doing a solo project every once in a while.

3. Don’t randomly join clubs. I was offered to join BETA Club and I didn’t wanna do it, so I didn’t. Don’t do clubs cause it looks nice cause 90% of the time, that one club won’t affect anything.

4. Save money. If you’re in marching band, dear god, save your money. School might as well be charging you to breathe. Everything cost SO MUCH MONEY. If you need to, set up a secret money jar so your parents don’t hijack your money.

5. Make new friends. Unlike most people apparently, I didn’t lose any friends. I do talk to certain people less because of class schedules, but we’re still friends. There is a small ass chance you’re gonna get caught in a class full of upperclassmen and no friends, and I had that situation. It’s not fun. Eventually, you’ll make a friend in that class, so don’t panic. But, anyways, new school, why not make new friends?

6. Don’t? Switch? Lunch? Tables? Okay, I don’t mean that someone’s gonna like sucker punch you out of your seat like in the movies. I mean like if we’re 5 months into the school year, don’t just randomly change your table, because …just don’t do it.

7. Don’t be that person who purposely gets on the teacher’s nerves to make class harder.

8. If you hate one of your teachers, suck it up buttercup. You have a choice of passing or failing, don’t let a teacher ruin an A in class for you.

9. Try and be on the other side of drama. It’s much more fun to watch drama go down, that to actually be involved in it.

10. Be early (if you can). I ride the bus, so I have no choice. But, there is legit no reasons for you to be walking into the class 10 minutes late, because you thought you could sleep an extra 5 mins.

11. I know your literature class is getting boring. This is probably your 7th consecutive year of learning the difference between a simile and a metaphor. I don’t know why they continue to reteach that stuff, but they do. All I can say is utilize what their teaching in some way, so that you don’t feel like the class is completely useless.

12. We all have that one class that you just do nothing in. Take advantage of that and get work done. I don’t have a “study hall” class so, any time you have to do work, use it.

13. Go to at least some of the school events. You can get relatively free food.

14. Look, I could not care less if you skip school. But, don’t do it often and if you can, don’t do it ever.

15. If you’re gonna eat in class, don’t eat something obvious like Lays Chips or a whole orange

16. Make friends with your teacher. Don’t be like creepy, but like, don’t have a bad relationship with your teacher.

17. Sophomore year, start thinking about college. You may think it’s too early, but it’s not. At least have an idea of what you want to major in.

18. If you can, get your permit as soon as you turn 15. Please don’t be like me. I still cannot drive and getting from Point A to Point B is harder than the VESPR Theory.

19. Disrespectful classmates are just an opportunity for you to get special privileges in class. If you’re class is disruptive and you’re just a sweet little angel, the teacher will most likely be more lenient with you. My teacher literally gave me a 100 on a project I turned in a day late (supposed to be 5 points off) because literally me and this other girl were the only ones who turned the project in.

20. Do your homework the day you get it. I don’t give a damn if it’s due in two days or two months, do it right then and right there.

21. In your language class, please try. Nobody likes the kid who doesn’t participate. If the teacher asks,  ¿Como estas?, you better fuckin say ¿Bien, y tu? back.

22. If you’re in a situation like mine, you’re gonna have a class you didn’t sign up for, yet somehow you got it. Just deal with it. If you can’t change your schedule, that’s all you can do. Just do the assignments and hope you pass.

23. Okay, most schools don’t have a “popular” group. But all schools definitely have the Prep group. You know, those kids. If you’re not one of them, just ignore them. If you are one of them, stop being so goddang stuck up and realise that you have an annoying voice. If you are not sure if you are a prep, you most likely are not.

24. My school doesn’t use lockers purely based on the fact that it would take too long for kids to get to them and back to class since my school is so big. So, if you also do not have lockers, make sure your bookbag can handle one full school year. I cannot stress this enough. You don’t wanna walk around school with a 15lb bookbag and only one functional strap.

25. Eat the school food. It’s honestly not as bad as the internet makes it. Like…eat ya pizza and enjoy it.

26. If your single and you want a relationship, please do not get a crush on random people like me. Someone would let me borrow a pencil and I would fantasize about a wedding for the next 2 days. I know it’s hard being lonely, but being in a relationship won’t get you a college scholarship.

27. Don’t drink a lot during school. There’s gonna be a teacher with a restriction on the bathroom because for some reason, they think bladders have a specific schedule to follow.

28. Don’t be that freshman that dates every senior in sight. If you have a relationship with a senior and it lasts, great. I’ve seen it happen, but 90% of the time it does not.

29. Likewise, if you have a friend that’s running you up the wall with their problems, specifically relationship problems. Find a way to distance yourself from them, or even better, get them help from someone else.

30. If you have Type 4 hair (or type 3, it depends), you gotta do your hair at least 3 days in advance, especially if your hair is short. I don’t know a single person with kinky hair who can wake up and just simply throw their hair up.

31. Look, man. Just look here. Look at me in my eyes and listen. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IF YOU ARE GONNA HAVE SEX USE A CONDOM! USE A CONDOM OR DONT HAVE SEX AT ALL. I’m not speaking from personal experience, but I many of girls have gotten pregnant at my school

32. If you’re gonna do drugs, don’t. Don’t be stupid. Especially if you’re in a school club or sport. You are subject to random drug tests at all times.

33. Try not to let people affect the way you dress. Wear what you want.

34. Something about you is gonna change. Your personality, your look, your aesthetic. Whatever changes, don’t be stuck up. Nobody likes stuck up people; not even stuck up people like stuck up people.

35. You know those posts that are like “Grades don’t determine intelligence?” Yeah, well they don’t determine your intelligence, but they can determine where you get into college (if you wanna go) and how you’re seen and perceived by teachers. At least, try to pass.

36. If you can, take the ACT or SAT or whatever standardized test you have for your schools. I had an opportunity to take the SAT in 4th, 7th, and 8th grade for $35…and I didn’t take it once. I heavily regret it. Mainly I didn’t take it, because, at the time, it was hard for my mother to pay for it when we had much bigger problems, but like, if you have the opportunity and the funds to take those tests, take them.

37. Don’t rely on quality points. In my school (they’ve gotten rid of this now though), if you’re in an AP class you got 10 extra points and if you were in an Honors/PreAP class, you got 5 points. Colleges look at your grades without the points. The only purpose for these quality points is so that kids in CP classes don’t get valedictorian or some shit idk

38. If you’re in America, you’re gonna have somebody walking around school in a Trump shirt. By all means, beat their ass, but know the consequences. Also, if you’re gonna talk about politics with somebody, please know at least the bare minimum. At least know what the Hillary email scandal is before you try and defend her. Same goes for my friends across the pond. You see someone supporting Theresa May, beat their ass, know the consequences, and learn politics.

39. Actually? Check? Your? Grades? I know so many people who just don’t know what they’re grades are. Know you’re grades so you always know where you stand.

40. I wanna say class rank does not matter, but if you’re anything like me, you’re gonna obsess over it for a while. I know you wanna be in the Top 5, but if you’re no where near it, you’re gonna have to work EXTREMELY HARDER THAN NORMAL. Try not to make a huge deal out of it, unless you’re aiming for Valedictorian.

41. Moisturize ya self. Don’t nobody like ashy knees and elbows. Invest in some lotion.

42. Listen. We all hate dress code. But just follow it. You can’t do anything about it. Just wait til the weekend to wear your spaghetti strap shirt and ripped jeans. And if you wear leggings and you have a wide hip and butt area, you are definitely going to be called out. If you’re not sure if you’re breaking dress code with what your wearing, bring an extra shirt and jeans just in case.

43. Go the fuck to sleep. Don’t be up at ass o’clock in the morning doing who-knows-what on the internet. I know from experience. You may think you can survive 8 hours of school with 2 hours of sleep, but as the day goes on, you’re not gonna want do anything at all, but sleep. But hey, if 2 hours of sleep works for, go ahead. It’s not healthy but I can’t regulate your life.

44. If you walk in the wrong class, everyone will forget about it after the a good 2 days. Literally nobody cared that much. Just walk out and forget about it.

45. If you have a phone, get your friends numbers/contacts/emails. You’re gonna need them for homework sooner or later.

46. To all those uber religious people out there, drop the clean act. If you hear somebody say “fuck”, get over it. I don’t know how else to say it. Teachers cannot stop somebody from cursing completely. People are gonna have sex, people are gonna cuss, people are gonna be inappropriate, and all you can do is focus on yourself.

47. Wear deodorant. You will be surprised at the amount of people who don’t.

48. Studyblr is fun. Studyblr is nice. That being said, studyblr is not the end of the world. If you don’t have a bullet journal, just use the calendar in your phone or have an online bujo. Don’t let studyblr take up 90% of your study time, because scrolling through the studyblr tag is not studying.

49. Don’t be that kid that walks around with fucking surround sound speakers on their back. Wtf, like invest in some headphones my guy.

50. Never buy a 1 inch binder. Always 2 inch and above, unless you know for sure you only need a 1 inch.

51. You are gonna have a set of people you absolutely hate that for some reason, you cannot get away from them. The best you can do is ignore them.

52. If you’re required to take a Fitness class and you are a festively plump child or an unhealthy/unfit person such as myself, you are going to be embarrassed at some point. Look. I cannot give you advice that’s gonna raise your self-esteem, but I can tell you that if you don’t pay attention to anyone else, it’s much easier to get through that class. The fitness gram pacer test doesn’t last forever. Likewise, don’t treat fitness class like the fucking Olympics. The coach asked for 10 pushups not 100.

53. Extra Credit is your friend. Even if you have a 100 in a class, extra credit doesn’t hurt.

54. Do not walk slow in the hallway, please. I like getting to class on time. If you plan on having a conversation in the hallway, only do it if you walk and talk at a reasonable speed.

55. If you ride the bus, get up at least 45 minutes before the bus gets there. I don’t have a big morning routine, so half of the time in the morning, I just scroll through twitter. Wake up early enough to get everything done.

56. C’s get degrees, my friend, but C’s don’t get scholarships.

57. If you wear AXE Body Spray or any perfume/cologne, I want you to know that your smell occupies the entirety of the hallway you’re on. Please, use only a small amount of fragrance, because not only do they most likely stink, some kids have asthma and some kids are allergic to fragrances. Just refrain from wearing strange smelling spays.

58. If you’re a theatre kid or sport kid, don’t be completely set on becoming a professional singer/actor/athlete. Have a Plan B. The last thing counselors wanna hear when they ask you what you want to be when you grow up, is a NBA Player.

59. To all my shy people out there, that speech you have to give doesn’t last forever. In fact, it may only last 3 minutes. In my literature class, we were required to recite lines from Romeo and Juliet, for some odd reason, and I made such a big deal out of something that barely affected my grades.

60. For this last and FINAL tip of this post, don’t give up. I didn’t wanna be generic, but here the fuck! I! am!!! When I took AP World History, part of the reason I ‘failed’ was because I just stopped trying. I would make low C’s on the test and just think, “Well I didn’t pass, might as well just give up.” Well, no shit you didn’t read the chapter. If you’re trying all you’ve got and you’re just not making it, talk to the teacher. That’s one thing I regret from my freshman year. I just gave up. I didn’t try and get help because I felt that getting help meant that I was stupid. It doesn’t. It just means you’re smarter for trying to get a good grade.

WELL THAT’S ALL FOLKS! Sorry if my cursing doesn’t fit your aesthetic, too bad. I can probably think of 40 more tips to make this 100, but I didn’t want this post to be extremely long (lol good job on that). Anyways, if you ever want any help, feel free to message me, but I’m not that good at text conversations or conversations in general so I’m your last resort.

TO THE UPCOMING FRESHMAN: Have a great first year of high school! You’re about to enter a new life where the teachers are more serious and, yes, coloring still somehow counts as a grade.

TO THE UPCOMING SOPHOMORES: I know. You’ve only been here one year and your tired. Have hope. You’re one year closer to that diploma.

You Make Me Really Confused

Request: @huntermichelle   6) “Quit smiling at me, I can’t stop messing up my sentences when you look at me like that.” 22) “You make me nervous and happy and horny all at the same time and it’s confusing as fuck sometimes.” 9) “No, like.. it’s just, I can’t believe you’re wearing MY clothes.” Preferably with shy Bucky? After the reader moves into the tower Bucky never knows what to say to them and then one day he accidentally says #22 and then they end up spending the night together? Fluff and smut? You’re amazing! TY!

@the-witching-hours12-3   I meant 6 with Bucky but whatever 🙄. Stupid me 😣

Prompts:   6) “Quit smiling at me, I can’t stop messing up my sentences when you look at me like that.”

9) “No, like…. It’s just, I can’t believe you’re actually wearing my clothes.”

22)  “You make me nervous and happy and horny all at the same time and it’s confusing as fuck sometimes.”

Words: 1041

Pairing: Bucky x Reader

Warnings: Fluffy, a little bit of smut

Thank you @widowsfics for beta this for me :)

Since the first time Bucky saw you, he knew that you were something special.  He didn’t know what was about you that made his heart beat so fast when you were around. Maybe was the way your hair smelled like coconut and chocolate, or the way that you smiled at him and how gently you touched him.

He didn’t know what it was, but he knew that he was falling in love with you.

The only problem was that he never knew what to say to you, you were so beautiful and carefree that every time he tried to keep a conversation he couldn’t help but stumble on his words and make a fool of himself “ Hey Bucky, what are you watching?”  You ask looking at the TV.

“I don’t know.” He looks surprised to see you, according to the reports you were supposed to be in China right now “Weren’t you supposed to be on a mission?” You nod sitting by his side “I was but Steve gave me the day off, saying that I would be more helpful here with you.”

Minhyun does not do crying…

Minhyun is a resilient, brave and motivated individual who always strives to be the best version of himself that he can be. Minhyun is a champion who works hard to overcome stigmas, replacing comments like ‘worst dancer’ to 'he dances really well!!’ He is diligent, diplomatic and most of all pure at heart; Minhyun’s kindness knows no bounds.

There’s a reason he gained so many fans whilst on Produce 101 and it’s not just because of his visuals but because he overcame adversity and he fought and he showcased his talents elegantly. Even when he falters and he stumbles, Minhyun gets back up again and carries on. It’s what he always has done. Minhyun knows how to handle difficult situations tactfully so that there is the best outcome for everyone, not just himself.

Minhyun thinks about others a lot and his selfless nature is what the other NU'EST members have always appreciated. He gives to others more of him than he even realises. He’s thoughtful and considerate but most importantly-Minhyun is always positive. When things get hard, he goes headfirst with a positive attitude. In NU'EST, he is the 'happy virus’. He is a beacon of light and he shines radiantly, whatever he does.

When Minhyun is upset, when something is bothering him, it’s not always obvious but sometimes there are tell tale signs. He might go quieter or he might come across a little reserved…but he doesn’t bottle things up because he knows he’s loved and he knows he has people he can turn to. Minhyun understands himself well. He can keep himself together even when he’s having a hard time. It’s not that he doesn’t want to show weakness, it’s more like he doesn’t want to burden others by showing an unhappy side, so he channels it healthily into exercise and hobbies. When he is alone, he can unravel himself and simply 'be’ and that’s why he likes going to movies alone or reading novels quietly in his room.

Every so often though, he will seek the company of a friend and that’s when he turns to the other members. Minhyun likes playing games with the other NU'EST members and watching movies with them and learning more about musical composition with them and joking around with them and eating ramen with them and going on spontaneous adventures with them and learning new languages with them and-

Minhyun needs all of NU'EST.
Even though he initially became a part of NU'EST, somewhere down the line NU'EST became a part of him. Knowing that promoting in 'Wanna One’ means being away from the other NU'EST members isn’t just sad because he’s being away from his brothers, but he’s going to be away from those people he has leaned on for support for the past 6-8 years. Ever since they were trainees, Pledis Boys worked hard together at a young age and formed a strong, honest bond of love and compassion for one another. Promoting without the NU'EST members, being apart from them for 2 years will be like losing a huge part of himself…and to be the leader of another group? It’s inconceivable especially when Minhyun has only followed JR diligently since the start.

The only other time Minhyun cried so openly is when JR wrote a letter during a Japanese live about how sorry he was that he hadn’t done enough for NU'EST and ㄴㅇㅅㅌs. Minhyun cried then because JR was vulnerable, upset and feeling shameful about his lack of leadership when Minhyun knew all too well how hard JR works for everyone. Minhyun doesn’t cry for himself, he cries for others. Seeing the people he cares for and loves deeply suffer hurts him most.

Minhyun cried today, not for himself but for his fellow NU'EST members.

Today, we saw Jonghyun, Minki and Dongho eliminated from the final Produce 101 season 2 line up whilst Minhyun achieved 9th place. Minhyun cried not for his own achievement but because he had to stand there, alone, whilst his fellow members cheered his success on whilst hurting inside. He was miserable because he felt like he had cheated them by succeeding even though we all know how hard he worked and how well he has done to gain more recognition. He felt like he didn’t deserve to be there without the other NU'EST members. He was vulnerable today, the most vulnerable we’ve ever seen him.

Minhyun doesn’t do crying…not unless someone he loves is suffering.

If you’ve supported NU'EST and Minhyun so far, I hope you’ll continue to support them all, whatever the uncertain future holds. Let’s continue to help ALL of NU'EST rise. Purchase and stream their songs on places like Mel0n and Genie, buy physical copies from places that contribute to the Hanteo chart, watch their music videos, share their music with others, share your experiences with NU'EST with others-just use this opportunity to spread as much love about NU'EST as you possibly can because during this fragile period, this is the best thing we can do.

Let’s prevent Minhyun from suffering and crying again…let’s not let any of NU'EST have a reason to cry again…

Well…. I’m crying.

No I’m sobbing.

Why?

Well, I’m sobbing because of art.

And the art that caused me to be in this pitiful is none other than ‘Spring Day’ by BTS.

'Spring Day’ is easily my favourite comeback so far.

After all, it is the most honest, sincere and beautiful piece they have released.

The song is just so pure, so heart wrenching. The production is fantastic and their voices….

Many people say that BTS does not have good vocalists because they cannot hit a lot of super high notes. True, if a voice has all the falsettos in the world in is nothing without emotion. And emotion is something that BTS can deliver not to 100 % but rather to an infinite amount. Their voices carry pain, longing and sincerity.

Now why am I mentioning sincerity so many times? Well, an artist without having sincerity is a writer with no pen or paper or any method of writing. Sincerity is essential, it is what captures the attention of the listener because it allows the reader to be able to relate. Even if the listener cannot relate he or she might want to retry to understand.

Spring Day achieves just that. After all, the song is honest and so is BTS. These are emotions all feel. These are the emotions that remind us that we too are humans.

And the music video, of the music video fits so well! The MV creates the feeling that this is not simply an MV, but rather is a coming of age movie, meant to showcase, pain, longing, confusion but also hope.

The shots of the, passing each other, only to at some points get together feel so sad, so painful and interestingly beaver when they are together for me, although there is a lighter feeling it still feels like something is still missing for them. Because they still keep running and they indeed are cut of by the train carrying Jungkook himself.

But at least they are together. At least they no longer have to suffer alone but can share the burdens that they have. They are each others ‘light’

The MV also allows for so much interpretation from the first watch.

One might take them as a random choice. However, the clothes could also mean that they have let their old selves go. They could mean the they feel worthless, like they can be  called ‘dirty’ at any moment and discarded. Or they could mean that they have washed there ‘stains’, their pain.

The scenes at the staircase and at the carousel when they seem unable to find each other can be seen as painful as them losing each other.

Or it could be that they still haven’t found the others yet.

Maybe, there are all in front each other…Maybe they haven’t looked properly.

The train with Kookie that passes BTS could mean that Jungkook is leaving the past behind…

Or he could simply be going forward, not yet knowing of the people he will get to meet, the same people who are in the same compartment as him.

And the shoes that hand from the tree… are they can mean death, the murder of their own selves.

But they could also mean that BTS has exchanged their pain for appreciating and loving themselves. Because they are no longer alone. No, this time they have each other. And so they are letting their old selves die in hopes for a better future them to be born.

And more interpretations can be made. They just depend on how people feel at the moments and what they want to believe. I like the idea that they simply search for each other, but that proves difficult at first cause they do not know exactly whom they are searching for. I like to believe that this MV is a look, a battle for the future. But I also love reading others interpretations.

And that is what this song and music video.

So thank you BTS, for once again getting out of you comfort zone and creating this masterpiece.

Thank you for bringing us all together.

Thank you for creating powerful music that speaks to all.

But also there are other people that deserve to be thanked.

People who sit silently and work endlessly to make this happen. Thank you to all the staff and the crew. Thank you to all those who helped make this happen, whether you are the MV director, or the person bringing the brush to the make up people.Because these people are too a huge reason why we have these MVs.

Thank you to all those that help with the creation of the songs.

Thank you to all whom advertise these boys, to all whom support them.

And thank you to my fellow ARMYs, who no matter what shit we get from others, continue to support these boys.

BTS has released one of their most beautiful works yet.

Bit more about Japanese culture and anime...

There was some interest after this Inuyasha post. Thought it would be cool to go more in-depth and relate it to anime, so next time you watch something you can go, “Oh yeah. That happens over there.”

No, THAT doesn’t happen in Japan.

As a word of caution: I grew up near Tokyo in the 90′s, when the economic bubble had burst but your average family didn’t feel the effects until later. Culture may have shifted slightly after the economic downturn (I know there’s a more nationalistic undertone now, like most of Asia), and everything I say will not apply to all of Japan. Places like Sapporo and Ōsaka have their own distinct cultures, like how New York and Texas are uniquely different.

But since most anime are set in or are geared towards the Tokyo crowd, I have a good idea of the cultural influences. Especially when relating it to Inuyasha, which was published and set in the 90′s (at least in Kagome’s modern time).

Also, what I’m about to say below is about Japan (Tokyo). Please don’t start applying it to other countries in Asia, or you will be laughably misled.

Additionally, I’m not some researcher who did extensive study on my own culture. I’m just relating to y’all my background, experiences, and the little bit of knowledge I’ve gleaned from my memories of living there as a little girl, as well as from stories shared by my parents.

Suffice it to say, you should not cite me for your research paper.

Donatello x Reader

Haunted

Prompt: Donnie x ghost reader? She can walk through walls and she floats, nothing can touch her, but she can touch others and pick up objects if she wants. She also has a ghostly howl.

Note: Aaaaaaaah that’s so cute!!

You didn’t know how it had happened, but somehow, one morning you woke up and you weren’t the same. You couldn’t keep your feet on the ground, and everyone seemed to walk through you. You thought, wished it was some horrible dream. But it wasn’t. It was a nightmare you couldn’t wake up from.

The days stretched to weeks to months and you found ways to pass the time, exploring the city of New York. You found coffee shops tucked in the quaintest places, bookstores full of brand new books. And you found in these places that you could interact with things. Objects mostly. But if you tried hard enough, sometimes you could interact with people. Some people, mostly animals and small children, could see you regardless of if you were trying to be seen or not. And you had been told by a little girl that you looked like an angel.

Nowadays, you were wandering the parts of New York other people couldn’t dream of finding. Abandoned churches covered in vines, old trees with initials carved in hearts, and now, a utopia underground.

It was amazing. Nothing you’d ever seen before. There were gadgets and gizmos everywhere, and more pizza boxes than you could ever dream to count. And one room, you found had quite the collection of classic novels. So, seeing as no one was there, you grabbed one of them and floated over the couch cross-legged and began to read.

It wasn’t for a few hours that you had company, all of which could see you. You were oblivious, still so caught up in the novel that you hadn’t noticed them come in.

“Ummm…” You looked up and met the eyes of a green mutant something or another. Bright blue eyes and a confused expression. “What are you, dudette?”

“I’m not really sure, to be honest.” You answered. “I just kind of am.”

“Is that my book?” Asked the tallest of the four. He was wearing a bright purple bandana and was covered in tech. He seemed to scan you with his goggles.

“Oh, I’m so sorry. I just got bored, and I can’t really interact with many things and so books are kind of-”

“N-no, it’s okay. I don’t mind.” He shook his head.

“Why are you here?” The one in the blue mask took a step forward and looked over you. “How did you find us?”

“When you spend a few months like this, you find all sorts of places.”

“Fascinating…” the one with the purple mask whispered as he examined his scans. “So you can interact with objects.”

“Yes.”

“And you’re invisible to humans.”

“I’m invisible to everyone except animals and small children.”

“Well, Mikey is both, so you’re covered.” The big one in the red mask chuckled.

“Hey!” retorted the one you assumed was Mikey.

“So, I’m sorry for barging in. I’ll just leave now.”

“You don’t have to leave.” The one in the blue mask said. “We uh, understand what it’s like to be alone.”

“So I can hang out here?”

“Yeah, bro!” Mikey said. “Wanna play Mario Kart?!”

“Do you really wanna get beat by a ghost?” You laughed. The boys smiled as you flew off after Mikey.

***

“Hey.” You drifted into Donnie’s lab later that night.

“Aah!” He jumped and dropped something made of glass.

“Sorry. Didn’t mean to spook you.”

“I-it’s all right. I was actually kind of hoping you would come in here.”

“Oh yeah? Why’s that?”

“So I could ask you a few questions.” He motioned to you. “About…what you are. For science.”

“Sure!” You hovered closer to his desk.

“Okay, so…” he pulled out a notebook and pushed his glasses up his snout. “When did this happen?”

“Two months ago.”

“How did it happen?”

“I just kind of woke up like this. There was no body or anything, it wasn’t a car crash…I’m not exactly sure how I ended up like this.”

“Interesting.”

“Like, I can’t walk. I’ve tried to ground myself, but I can’t. All I can do is float. I can touch objects, but it has to be very deliberate. Anything I interact could fall right through me. Even holding a book for a few hours took a lot of practice.”

“Mmhmm…” He hummed as his paper scratched across the paper. “Can you touch living things?”

“It’s kind of hard, but…” You held up your hand and waited for Donnie to look up and notice what you were doing. He slowly raised a large green three-fingered hand to meet yours. You focused all of your being into your fingers and palm, and pressed it against his. He shivered.

“You’re so cold. And tingly.”

“You know that feeling you get when your foot falls asleep? I think I’m made of that.”

“Casper?” He picked up your reference immediately.

“I haven’t seen that movie in a very long time.” You sighed. “I’m still working on electronics…”

“We have it. I could pop it in for you if you want.”

“Only if you watch it with me.”

There was a pause.

“What?”

“You’ve gotta take a break sometime, right? I think there’s more to you than meets the eye, Donatello.”

“Donnie.”

“Hmm?”

“Call me Donnie.”

“All right, Donnie. What do you say then?”

He smiled and nodded gently.

“Sure.”

***

Weeks later, you had found that when the brothers weren’t out on patrol, you often found yourself in Donnie’s lab. You think it helped him to have company while he worked. And whether you were talking to him or just floating in the corner of the room while reading his books, he seemed to work better with you there than without.

You also nudged him to take care of himself while he was busy, reminding him to drink water and take stretch breaks and get to sleep at a reasonable time. In your short time here, you had helped him function better than he ever had.

“How’re you doing today, Don?” You floated in through the closed door and draped your ghostly arms around his shoulders. He shuddered at the cold.

“G-great. How did you sleep?”

“I don’t.” you reminded him. He nodded.

“Oh right.” A small chuckle. “I keep forgetting.”

“Did finish Huckleberry Finn though.” You set it on his desk. “Thanks for letting me borrow it, by the way.”

“No problem.” He pointed to the back corner, where he kept all of his books. “You can borrow anything you want.”

“Sweet thanks!” You floated back there and rummaged through the shelf to find another book to read. The lair was so quiet when the boys were asleep. It was the perfect time to get some reading done. “Ooh, Dante’s Inferno.”

“So I have a question for you.”

“All right, shoot.” You floated back over to him, book in hand. He stood up just as you were next to him and came very, very close to stepping through you.

“I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize you were right there.”

“You’re fine.” You looked up at him, the closest you’d ever been to him. And with your half-foot of float, you were only about half a foot from his face. God, he was tall. There were a few moments of quiet before he caught his train of thought.

“So, are you sure you’re dead?”

“Well, I mean…I’m a ghost, so I assumed I kind of must be.”

“I don’t think you are. I really don’t.” Donnie sat back down and pulled up some diagrams on his computer. “I think you’re trapped between two dimensions. Around the time of the Kraang invasion was when this happened, right?”

“Yeah…”

“I think you got spliced with a blast of interdimensional energy and it…it trapped you here and there simultaneously.”

“Okay.” You nodded, eyebrows drawing together as you mulled over the things he was telling you. “So I’m not a ghost, I’m just…whatever this is?”

“Yes, I think so.” He paused, looking at you when he told you the next thing. The more important thing. Possibly the most important thing he would ever tell you in the history of ever. “And I think I can reverse it.”

***

“You know he’s in love with you, right?” asked Mikey as you watched Donnie work from afar.

“What?” you blushed scarlet. “No, I don’t think he-”

“Nah, Mike’s right.” Raph nodded in agreement. “All he ever does is think about you, work on a cure. He ain’t ever done that before. He’s in love.”

“You can’t be serious. I’m just a ghost. I’m not even real. Yet. I can’t even touch him…or hold him…”

“Maybe that’s why he’s working so hard.” Mikey pointed out. You blushed even harder.

“Shut up.”

“You never know~” Mikey waggled his eyebrows. You wanted to smack him.

***

The more you worked with Donnie, the more you realized his brothers could be right about his feelings for you. You started to notice little things here and there. Little smiles when he talked to you, the change in the tone of his voice, little inside jokes that set him off. And every day, you found yourself falling harder for the tall brainy turtle. You knew it would be hard to love him, especially considering the fact that you couldn’t touch him, couldn’t hug him, couldn’t kiss him without causing him to get a chill. That’s what he got for falling in love with a ghost.

And so you haunted him for weeks that were quickly turning into months, floating around his lab, making him coffee in the early hours of the morning, and then pulling the blankets up around him at night. You took care of him. You looked after him. And he thanked you for it every day.

And then came the breakthrough.

He knew how to fix you. He knew how to return you to normal. The construction of the machine only took a few days, and then it was time.

“Okay, so when I turn it on, there’ll be a jolt and then you’ll be normal again. Hopefully. If not, we’ll go back to the drawing board and start over.”

“And what if it doesn’t work?” Leo asked. Mikey and Raph were there too, waiting to see what would happen.

“It’ll work.” You said with certainty. “I trust you.” Donnie’s heart raced.

“All right. Here goes.” His fingers shook as he moved the controls and then, finally, one of his thick fingers pressed the button.

You disappeared.

***

You had the worst headache in the world, you decided. How had you even gotten here? You had had the weirdest dream ever. Four gigantic mutant turtles were living in a sewer, and…had you been a ghost? Weird. Very weird.

You sat up in bed and looked around at your apartment room. There were cobwebs everywhere and…was that snow outside? Snow? In July? No. This couldn’t be. You pulled your very dusty phone off of the charger and looked at the date. December. No. Noooo. That couldn’t be right. It couldn’t possibly be right. Had you just skipped six months of your life? Had you gone into a coma? No. You couldn’t have, could you?

And yet, the more you thought about your strange dream, the less and less it seemed like a dream and the more and more it began to feel…real. Too real. You unlocked your phone only to find literally hundreds and hundreds of texts and emails from friends and family. It was like you had just disappeared. But you knew there was something in between. Some place underground. A lair. And four turtle brothers. Leo, Raph, Mikey, and…Donnie.

How could you have forgotten Donnie? Donnie and his wonderful collection of books. Donnie and his knowledge of all things nerd. Donnie and the bo staff. Donnie and the gigantic crush you had harbored for him.

Your fingers opened your phone and dialed a number. A number you had memorized just in case. Just in case you could ever use a phone again. You dialed it and waited and waited and waited as it rang. Hoping, praying he would pick up.

“Please please please…”

And then…

“H-hello?” a choked up voice that sounded so different now that you actually had ears.

“Donnie?”

A loud gasp. “(Y/N)?!”

“What happened?”

“You disappeared. I thought…I th-thought you were gone. Where are you?”

“I woke up at my apartment.” You told him your address. And then you waited and waited for him to finally knock on your bedroom window. You didn’t even wait for him to clamber inside, hugging him as he crouched on the fire escape. “It worked! It really worked! Thank you.”

“D-don’t mention it.” His voice was soft. Remnants of tears were still trailing down his scaly cheeks. You reached up to wipe them away.

“Shhhhh….” You shushed him as he started to cry again, pulling him back into you. “It’s okay. I’m here now. It’s all right.”

“I’m sorry. I just…lost you.”

“Let’s go back to the lair, all right? Get some pizza to celebrate? I’ve never been this hungry in my entire life.”

“Sounds like a plan.” Donnie smiled and nodded. He took your hand and helped you out the window. You followed him down through the sewers to the lair. God, it looked so different in real life. So big and bright and colorful.

“Honeys, I’m home!” You called into the solemn lair. The moping turtles sprang up to meet you. Immediately, Mikey swept you up in a bear hug.

“Dudette, you’re not dead!”

“No, I’m not.” You laughed.

“Glad to have you here. Like, really here.” Leo said.

“Glad to be here.”

“So Don, now that yer girlfriend’s real, there better not be too much PDA ‘round here.” Raph smirked.

“G-girlfriend?” Donnie’s voice squeaked. “No, I don’t…we’re not…”

“Do you want to be?” your voice was quiet. You didn’t realize how tall he was until now. You couldn’t just float up to his eye level anymore. You just had to look up at his towering form.

“Yes.”

“Well, then. It’s settled. Boyfriend.” You grabbed the tails of his mask and gently tugged until he was stooping over low enough to kiss you. His lips were soft and sweet and perfect. When you pulled apart he rested his forehead against yours.

“You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to do that.”

You pecked the corner of his lips, causing him to blush.

“I think I might understand.”

Clair(e)voyance

1:6

Jamie knocked on her door early.  She was still in her robe, and a bit defensive. The bruise on her jaw long since faded since the last time he’d interviewed her. The house behind her, tidier.  Cleaner.  Key pieces of furniture missing, like the man’s recliner.

“I’ve told you everything I know,” she stated.

Jamie smiled.  “I understand, Ma’am, but perhaps ye could tell me one thing? Where did ye both eat before yer husband passed?”

“Where did we eat? That was months ago now.”  The woman thought for a moment.  “I don’t remember the name of the place.  It had a weird name.”

“Can ye remember where it was, exactly?”  Come on, Jamie thought.  Give me one thing so I can follow through on Claire’s information.

“Around Covent Garden station.  Best I can do, Detective.  It’s just a little hole in the wall, you know?  Lots of shops, all with a central yard.”

Jamie thanked the woman, and left.  Covent Garden was a start.  When he talked to the girlfriend of the second victim he noticed the same defensive position.  And the same healing of bruises.  She’d narrowed it down further. He took out his phone to dial Claire and realized he didn’t have her number.

He’d just have to pop round her place.

They came up out of the tube station, and looked around.

“Where the bloody hell do we start?”  Claire could never be a detective. She liked the orderliness of her morgue. Nowhere to hide in there. Plus, she knew where to start with a body.  “I mean. This place could be anywhere!”

“Up Long Acre to Neal’s Yard.  It’s somewhere up there.”

They walked up the busy street.  No words exchanged between them.

Anxiety gripped her.  She never knew what her reaction was going to be.  And they were never under her control.

She scanned the shops hoping to catch a glimpse of it before it was upon her, so she could prepare.  The streets were cobbled, the buildings red brick, some with colourful fronts.  In any other circumstances she would enjoy poking around this area of London.

Jamie sensed Claire’s nerves.  She jumped at every car horn, every rumble of a lorry.  When they turned off the main street and started down narrow cobble alleys she became more tense.  It was almost as if she thought the place they sought was alive to jump out at her.

He resisted the urge to take her hand, or place an arm around her in comfort. He might do more damage.  He couldn’t imagine living like that, where your thoughts could assault you at any moment. Where a touch could render you helpless.  He felt a compassion for Claire that he hadn’t properly felt for anyone before.  As a police officer attachments were forbidden. You couldn’t be rational in a situation if you were invested in it.  Your gut always reacted before your brain.  So he set his pace to hers, and tried to stay in tune with her, without really looking at her.

Neal’s Yard was absolutely adorable. Colourful awnings.  Red, white and blue flags.  Brightly coloured cafes. She almost started to smile, then felt Jamie’s nudge.  She looked to where he pointed, felt a small swoon. He put out his arms to steady her without touching her, almost as if he were waiting for her to fall into them.  He was considerate.  Respectful.  And she liked that.

Claire nodded, took a deep breath, and walked forward.  She paused, scanned the store front.  Noted everything.  She opened the door to the tiny bistro.   Immediately she staggered backwards in recoil, right into Jamie’s chest.

A cobalt blue floor.

Jamie didn’t dare use his hands.  As far as he could tell, that’s what triggered her visions.  Instead, he stepped up to Claire, placing his chest against her back like a wall.  Her head fit just under his chin.

Dammit.  It would have to fit perfectly.

He grabbed the door, opening it a bit wider.  “Ye can do this,” he whispered. “I’m right here.”

Claire nodded again.  They walked through the door.  It was exactly as she pictured it.  He had her sit at a small table while he perused the array of fresh lettuces and vegetables in the glass cases.

“Can I help ye?”

The voice was Scottish.  Highland, like his.  Her hair was a brighter red than his, and the eyes as green as the awning outside.  He smiled, and turned on the charm.

“Aye, ye can.”  He watched her eyes widen, and a smile cross her face.

“Where are ye from?” she asked, delighted.

“Broch Morda.  Ye’d never find it, even with a map.  You?”

“Near Inverness.  What brought ye to London?”  She seemed friendly.  If he warmed her up maybe she’d talk.

“Did ye no’ hear me say I’m from Broch Morda?  There’s maybe 20 folk live there.”  He yawned in exaggeration, and she laughed.

“Weel, welcome to my little restaurant.  Are ye alone?”  She cocked her head to the side, waiting for his answer.

“No.  With my girl, over there.”  He gestured vaguely to Claire. “We’ve never been here so how do we go about ordering then?”

She smiled politely.  She quit flirting, but was still friendly.  She explained each and every possible combination of food.  Jamie nodded along then excused himself to talk to Claire.

He managed to fold himself into the little white chair across from her.  “Ye okay, Claire?”

“Don’t speak to me like that!” Claire shouted.

Jamie reared back.  What the hell?  He was about to speak when he caught Claire’s look.  Begging him to play along.  He realized her game.  God, she was so clever.  He stage whispered to her low and furious.  “Keep yer voice down.”

“No!  Why? Are you afraid these people will realize how you treat me? Hmm?”

Jamie grabbed her wrist, and Claire twisted it, but didn’t try to break free. She leaned forward and whispered back, “Go up and order take away.  Doesn’t matter what just make sure you get a sample of everything. And salad dressings.  No drinks.  Be charming.”

He did as he was told.  The redhead was like ice now.  She put together the order.  Bagged it.  Took his money.

He walked towards the door.  “Claire, come,” he said, as if calling a dog.  Claire stood and dragged her feet, head hung low.

“Grab my arm,” she whispered when they cleared the doorway.  So he did. They walked to the end of the yard, and turned the corner.

“Keep it up,” she said, and they walked until they had to turn down the next little alley.

At the last minute, Claire turned, and looked back up the street.

There she was.

Watching.  Spying.  Until Claire left her field of vision.

“Co-ni-um.  Mac.  Mac-u…”  Jamie struggled with the Latin.

“Conium Maculatum.  Common name, Hemlock.  But that’s only in one of the salad dressings.”

Heads bent together in the dimness of the morgue.  Dark and red curls swirled together as they poured over the toxicology report.

Claire turned her head and found herself millimeters from the ocean depths of his eyes. His arm around the back of her chair.  His thigh butted up to hers. She pulled back.  “That would be what the first victim consumed. The second death was different. Poison, for sure, but that caused heart failure, which is the result of a different type of plant.”

“Hemlock!”  Jamie was genuinely surprised.  “Holy shit.  I thought that was just the kind of stuff ye see in movies.”

Claire got up, and went over to one of the shelves by her desk.  She struggled with a large volume, and dropped it with great noise in front of Jamie.

“What’s this?”  He eyed the tome speculatively.

“Just a hobby of mine.  Botany.  Medicinal botany, to be exact.”  Claire flipped to the section she wanted.  She showed it to Jamie.  “There’s quite a few that could case heart failure.  There has to be something else.”

She flipped a few pages in.  “Convallaria majalis would cause the same symptoms that the second man died of. ”

“Con-va-whom??”

Claire laughed.  “Lily of the Valley.”

She felt excitement shimmy through her veins.  “I need to go back.”

Jamie was shaking his head before she finished speaking.  “Yer not a police officer.  Yer not trained for this.  I’ll find someone else.”

“I can do it, Jamie.  I’ll just say that it wasn’t enough.  That you didn’t use enough.  That I need something stronger.”  She was warming to her idea. “You certainly can’t,” Claire reasoned.  “She would expect you to be dead.  At the very least she’ll be looking for your obituary.  I’m the one who needs to go back.”  Claire insisted.  “I need to go back and get another sample.”

“You let a Medical Examiner go undercover with you?  What in hell were you thinking?”

Chief Inspector John Grey was not impressed.  James Fraser was one of his best detectives, but he’d never been this unprofessional before.

“I was thinkin’ how to get in her pants, if I’m honest.”  Jamie shrugged.  “I mean, John, have ye seen her?  She’s -”

“Not my type,”  John interrupted.  He watched James smile at that.

“I wanted to see her, so I used the opportunity to check out this place based on what the victims’ wife and girlfriend described.”   Jamie shrugged. “And now we need more samples. I canna go back, obviously.  So, she said she would.”

Chief Inspector Grey sat for a moment.  He thought through every possible scenario as if it were a chess game.  Every move, every mistake imaginable.  He had to admit, this was a good idea.  If they waited to build a portfolio for two other officers to go undercover, it would take weeks, risking the possibility of another death in the meantime.

“Fine.  But I want to speak to her first,” John said.  And had to turn away from James’ brilliant smile.

When amber eyes met green, Claire almost bolted.

Almost.

It took everything she had to fight the wave the rolled through her brain and threatened to knock her off her feet.  This woman was a killer.  While her intentions were good, her methods were not.  Claire saw the flowers in the containers, and window boxes out front.  Every one of them poisonous. Poisonous vines.  The poisonous seeds of the flowers.  The poison of the leaves.

In this quiet corner of London, Death was everywhere.

Claire knew Death well.  Personally.  Professionally.

Green eyes flicked past her as she hesitated in the doorway.  She was looking for Jamie, Claire realized.  John said to face this head on.  Not to mince words or stay longer than she needed to.  He said to let innuendo take over, to say nothing that might be entrapment.  She approached the counter and said quietly, “I need a take out.”

The green eyes roamed over her, probably looking for bruises.  Claire discretely moved her hair to cover her neck, and fussed with the scarf around her neck.

She looked at Claire.  Nodded.

She put the greens together silently, added proteins and extras.  “Does he like lemon?”

Claire shrugged.  She had to be careful.

The woman seemed to consider for a moment, then bent to her work choosing a squeeze bottle from behind the counter.

Claire thought for a moment.  “Is that your name on the front?  How do you pronounce it?”

The green eyes flashed a suspicious look, then her brow cleared.  “Geillis.  And you?”

“Claire,” she responded.  She was nervous.  She could feel her smile tremble.

The woman’s look softened as she snapped the lid on the take away.  Claire dug in her bag for her wallet.  Cash.  Jamie said cash only.  Her hands shook.

The red head placed the container in a bag and handed it over.

“How much?”  Claire had to clear the lump in her throat.

“On the house,” Geillis said.  “Good luck.”

Lick

Lips part two? Continuation? Sandbox? Thing? Because someone said this scenario should continue… And I agreed cause it’s a weakness and I had a plan… or did I? I don’t know, it didn’t pan out…

I encourage you to read Lips before this one though.

It would be a lie for Harry to say that he didn’t stare at you a lot. Specially after the little incident a few weeks back.

If he was to be honest with himself, the small interaction only made him more aware of his staring, and it only made him stare more. It wasn’t a lie that he looked at your lips, and now he wasn’t stopping. The few days after the fated incident consisted of him stumbling over his words cause he was so lost in every conversation. It was a horrible cycle. He stared at you which made him lose his train of thought and not be able to speak properly, which in turn made you stare at him messing up his sentences and laugh or just stare in wonder, which would make him focus back on you and start it all over again.

Somehow, he understood you. He didn’t know why he did it, he just knew he did, and something about knowing you’re doing the same to him just turned on some natural response that was out of his control. He had to look at yours too. And maybe you didn’t know why you looked at him, you just did, which was what he was going through now more than ever… He was okay with that. He wanted more, sure, but he didn’t know how to make it more, so he stuck with looking and pining and pinching at his own mouth whenever you licked yours; something he now knew you did very often and was driving him insane little by little.

Staring is what got you into the mess you and Harry seemed to be in right now. No words had been spoken about that day after you had bolted away from each other at the sound of your best friend coming in the kitchen; and there hadn’t been another chance for Harry to inch close to you and finish what he thought had started that night. Staring is what made him so itchy and needy.

Staring is what got him where he is right now, and he’s glad.

For some reason the pile of loud people you called your friends seemed to always end up close to your place, even if it was for a nice afternoon outside, which was the case today. You avoided Harry’s stare, having become more careful with your looks since that other night, but he was fixed on you more than he liked to admit. The lads were being lads, tossing a ball around and having a laugh, again poking fun at Harry for calling soccer ‘footie’ and for his not so amazing coordination while playing the game.

It would be like watching a movie from a different perspective. As you spoke to one of your friends Harry would just trace your mouth with his sight and analyse how it moved. Your small Oh’s and very big Ah’s. Your throaty laugh and shiny lips. And then he was in pain. Staring at you is what got him a ball to the face as he stood in the middle of the impromptu soccer game which he had forgotten about for a second too long.

The metallic taste of blood was eminent as he spit some out, and you rushed to him, immediately asking him to follow you inside. It was your house after all, so you were in charge of getting the med-kit and treating his bloody wound.

A busted lip. Your favourite thing of his to look at was now busted open and bleeding and your palms were sweaty at the thought of touching it just to make sure the wound cured properly.

He sat on your bathroom counter, legs open as you stood between them soaking whatever pad with whatever liquid and warning him it would sting.
“Stay quiet, please” you mumbled dabbing at the open skin. His eyes focused on your busy mouth. Whenever you were focused on something you tended to bite your lip or leave your mouth open in a twisted ‘O’ that he adored. Your tongue would pop out every now and then and he found himself wanting to bite at it.
“Will I be okay, doctor?” with his accent and the position he was in it sounded more like ‘Doh-tah’ and you had to keep yourself from giggling. Sure you were trying to stare less but that didn’t mean you didn’t still find his mouth and accent fascinating.
“Perfectly fine. Just have to put sugar on it” His brow arched in confusion.
“Sugah?” What for? You had brought the sugar from the kitchen with you. Brown sugar to be precise, and it made no sense to him whatsoever. Turns out brown sugar helps cuts in the mouth area to heal quick, it sort of urges the skin to reconstruct faster and it helps stop the bleeding. You told him this, to which he payed no attention to anything other than the way you formed your B sounds and your lips parted, as you gathered some grains in your hand.
“Look up” you instructed and let the sugar fall and stick to his open gash. It was a strange feeling and he pouted trying to keep his bottom lip from touching his upper one and taking off the sugar. “Now, don’t lick it off”

You were very close, patting the sugar down with your index finger carefully, making sure the whole cut was covered and Harry couldn’t help but smirk as the rest of your fingers reached out to touch his chin and cupid’s bow. You couldn’t help it. You didn’t know why his mouth was so hypnotising to you but the trance was on once again and at this point it was almost as if you couldn’t even hold it back.

You were staring, and so was he. He didn’t know if you wanted to kiss him as much as he wanted to kiss you. Ever since that day he has wondered what it would be like but never actually reached for it in fear it wasn’t what you were after. But right now it felt like you were both on the same page. Like you were having a silent agreement that a kiss would be nice right about now. His eyes just stared at your face, running over it, paying attention to your eyes – that were downcast to his lips – and then your nose – it was pointy but round and he liked it. Wanted to bump his against it – and then his latest fascination; your mouth. He loved the arch, the natural pout, the rosy colour. It was like looking at it through a magnifying glass and he could see all the little marks and lines. And he wanted to taste them. In his mind it was impossible that this wasn’t some sign that something had in fact started that night.

His hand reached around your body, grabbing at the belt-loops in your jeans and tugging you closer to the counter, closer to him.
“Harry…” you whimpered. Your mouth felt dry from the tension, but you knew that if you were to lick your lips you would end up touching your tongue to his and the thought of it made you shiver as his fingers pulled you closer.
“Won’t lick it off…” he started as you regained your breath from the close proximity of your faces. His nose bumped with yours ever so slightly, making chills run down your spine and goosebumps raise on the back of his neck as he finished with a whisper “if yeh promise not to lick it off me, either…”

I still don’t know what this is but I might know where it’s going? Not completely sure. It’s another piece like Lips and kind of like a second part but then again… Lips wasn’t even supposed to exist in the first place. So I’m not sure giving it a part 2 was the best idea. Giving it a part 3 might be an even worse idea but whoops. Feedback?

kay, bye.

Pairings: Finn Balor (Fergal Devitt) x Reader

A/N: Yayyyy, happy Finn Fridays!!! So since I’m new to writing for the WWE fandom, I need some suggestions on who people would like me to write about and what! I’m thinking on giving a go at Seth Rollins next since he’s my cute puppy son who I adore. Also, if you’re into Game of Thrones or Teen Wolf, I also write stories about them as well. You can find them all on my masterlist!

Summary: When Finn asks Y/N who her favorite WWE wrestler is, he’s not too happy with her response, leading to their first fight as a couple.

Masterlist

Was it really something that needed to turn into a fight?

It was just an honest answer.

What was she supposed to do?

Lie? Make him feel good about himself?

She never had to do that for him before. He was the absolute best at everything he did; and there was no one that could tell him otherwise. Why was it that all of a sudden, he needed for her to tell him that?

They were sat on the couch when he first brought it up. Y/N had her head resting in his lap while Finn drew lazy circles into her bare shoulder. Both were quietly watching a UFC fight on the television in Finn’s condo per usual given the fact that Y/N lived farther from the city and gym they would both be at, at the crack of dawn.

Knowing their comfortable and happy routine by now, after this fight was over, the two of them would either turn on a movie or Y/N would head to the bedroom while Finn sat at the dining table and added a bit more to the Lego set he’d been working on. This time around, he was halfway through the Tower Bridge Y/N had gotten him for Valentine’s Day as a reminder of the city Finn had first met her in. When Y/N felt like she had waited long enough, she’d tip toe back out into the kitchen with nothing but one of his shirts and slide her hands from his shoulders down his hard chest. She’d always stand like that for a moment, letting him put a few more pieces on before finally tugging him out of his seat and leading him towards the bedroom. Not once did he ever argue, he knew well enough that she’d always win. Y/N was his weakness and he’d walk through fire just to please her.

Epic Movie (Re)Watch #118 - Kingsman: The Secret Service

Spoilers below.

Have I seen it before: Yes

Did I like it then: Yes!

Do I remember it: Yes.

Did I see it in theaters: Yes.

Was it a movie I saw since August 22nd, 2009: Yes. #343.

Format: Blu-ray

1) I love this movie. It’s so much fun, it has a great blend of style and character, and it’s just a treat all around! Honestly it’s probably the best Roger Moore James Bond movie without Roger Moore in it.

2) Hey, it’s Mark Hamill!

3) The bad guys are so polite in this movie.

Thug; “I’m under very strict instructions not to hurt you.”

4) Hey, it’s Jack Davenport!

Too bad he, like Mark Hamill, dies very early on in the movie.

5) The score in this film composed by Henry Jackman and Matthew Margeson is one of the things that infuses this film with the energy it has. It has JUST enough of that classic 007 feel to know that’s what they’re going for, but not too much to distract the audience. The rest is a fun, action packed score which adds an extra dose of adrenaline to the film. I love it!

6) Sofia Boutella as Gazelle!

Boutella’s scar is quickly on the rise, having memorable rules in this, as Jaylah in Star Trek Beyond, and as the titular monster in Universal’s upcoming The Mummy reboot. And this films tells you why. It is a smaller role, especially when compared to Eggsy or the main villain Valentine, but every scene Boutella is in defines the character. She’s fierce but also incredibly loyal to Valentine, but that doesn’t mean she’s not human. You see bits of kindness, curiosity, wonder, and humor. Boutella merges all these qualities wonderfully in the villainous Gazelle and her scenes with Sam Jackson are a delight!

7) Samuel L. Jackson as Richmond Valentine.

Sam Jackson is great in this role. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen the legend give a bad performance. Has he been in bad movies? Sure. But he always commits 100% and gives it his all, and here’s no different.

Valentine is an interesting character in that he’s the best example of a villain believing he’s the good guy. He doesn’t want to kill people, he doesn’t want to hurt people, he wants to save the world, so he’ll get others to kill and hurt people for him. Samuel L. Jackson is a lot of fun in the role, adding a nice lisp which (according to IMDb):

Samuel L. Jackson’s character of Richmond Valentine was originally intended not to have a lisp. However, Jackson completed his first take with a lisp. Matthew Vaughn yelled “cut!”, and talked to Jackson, who revealed to Vaughn that, prior to having an acting career, he actually had a lisp, which he eventually overcame. It was also jokingly remarked that this lisp is Valentine’s reason for being villainous.

It’s a great part of the film.

8) Harry Hart/Gallahad’s need for the Kingsman to progress past snobs already establishes him as an interesting character among the spy organization. It shows he truly understands what it is to be noble. That it’s not about the circumstances of one’s birth but how you treat your fellow man. But more on that later.

9) Taron Egerton as Eggsy.

Although the film was largely marketed on the star power of Firth, Jackson, and even Michael Caine, it is Eggsy who’s the real hero of the film and he is awesome! Eggsy is an intriguing character with a lot of nice layers/surprises which pop up in the film in fun ways. To start we learn that - even as a “punk” - he lives by a strict moral code of not ratting on his friends and taking care of his own, but he’s not below petty pranks of revenge (as in stealing a jackass’ car and then driving it backwards). He can keep a secret and largely fends for himself, only calling upon the favor Harry Hart offered him 17 years later when he REALLY needs it.

Egerton is fantastic in the role! He embraces every layer of Eggsy. The kindness, the loyalty, the rough edges, the temper, the brashness, all the contradictions and surprises, and he blends them together in a believably way. He’s funny, charismatic, and an absolute star on screen.

10) I never understand why Eggsy’s mom decided to marry such a shit after his dad died. Maybe because he can support them? I don’t know, but Eggsy’s stepdad is a prick.

11) I love this

Harry: Your father was a brave man. A good man. And having read your files, I’d think he’d be bitterly disappointed in the choices you’ve made.

Eggsy: You can’t talk to me like that.

Harry: Huge I.Q., great performance in primary school. And it all went tits up. Drugs, petty crime, never had a job.

Eggsy: Do you think there’s a lot of jobs going around here, yeah?

Harry: Doesn’t explain why you gave up your hobbies. First prize, regional under tens’ gymnastics, two years in a row. Your coach had you pegged as Olympic team material.

Eggsy: Yeah, well, when you grow up around someone like my stepdad, you pick up new hobbies pretty quick.

Hart: Now of course. Always someone else’s fault. Who’s to blame you for quitting the Marines? You were halfway through training, doing brilliantly, but you gave up.

Eggsy: Because my mum went mental, banging on about losing me as well as my dad. Then we wouldn’t be cannon fodder for snobs like you, judging people like me from your ivory towers with no thought about why we do what we do. We ain’t got much choice, you get me? And if we was born with the same silver spoon up our arses, we’d do just as well as you, if not better.

I think this is great for a few reasons. It tells us a lot about Eggsy (gymnast, marine corp, huge IQ) but it SHOWS us a lot too. It shows up that he respects himself and that he’ll stand by the decisions he’s made in the past. It shows us that Eggsy takes shit from no one, no matter how in the right society may say they are.

12) I love the fight scene in the bar, otherwise known as “Manners Maketh Man”.

It is our first real showcase of the film’s stellar action sequences, which hold up for the rest of our two hour ride. I think the action is most marked by a fun, fast pace, but also incredible fight choreography. It’s an excellent case of action/reaction or action/consequences. Everything leads into everything else and it all flows so beautifully.

13) Remember how I said Eggsy had some nice layers?

Harry [trying to describe training Eggsy to be a spy]: Did you see the film Trading Places?

Eggsy: No.

Harry: How about Nikita? Pretty Woman? Now, my point is that the lack of a silver spoon has set you on a certain path that you needn’t stay on. If you’re prepared to adapt and learn, you can transform.

Eggsy: Oh, like in My Fair Lady.

Hart: You’re full of surprises.

Eggsy is not some moron tough guy who’s masculinity is too fragile to watch and appreciate My Fair Lady. Harry obviously has this image in his mind of what Eggsy is (a guy who likes raunchy comedies and action movies).

14) Is it me or is the idea of a spy organization run totally on its own above any sort of law or government shady as fuck? And they use fear tactics to train their recruits and want them to willingly shoot a poor dog in a cold blood (more on that bullshit later).

15) I love Roxy.

She doesn’t get nearly enough screen time but is given some nice development in the time she does.

  • Is able to be civil in a competitive field without it getting in the way of her goals.
  • Has an incredible fear of heights and/or falling, but that doesn’t stop her from doing what needs to be done towards the end of the film (which is a great arc in and of itself).
  • Is willing what needs to be done to accomplish her goals (like shooting a dog to be in Kingsman).

We see her and Eggsy develop a nice friendship. Not a romance, not a will they won’t they, a mutual respect among peers and also platonic support. If the sequel can improve on the original in one way (and listen carefully Matthew Vaughn) it would be to include more Roxy!

16) Can we be honest? If there was a US president who would participate in the planning of mass genocide from this current decade, it wouldn’t be Obama.

17) The water tank!

Not only an example of the film’s great action, but also imaginative set pieces and classic spy thrills. Also - and I say this as a hetero guy - but Eggsy’s abs have even me going DAMN.

18) Me too Sam Jackson. Me too.

Valentine [after he has to blow up Professor Arnold’s head or risk exposure]: “He made me kill Professor Arnold. I goddamn loved Professor Arnold.”

19) This line really sticks with me.

Valentine [after Gazelle says she reached out to various secret services]: “Beijing. So freaky how there’s no recognizable name for the Chinese Secret Service. Now that’s what you call a secret, right?”

20) I’m a dog person, okay? I love this.

21) Remember how I said that Kingsman is a shady spy organization? Well it should really follow the Captain America rule of ethics and not include any bullies in its services. The only two candidates who aren’t pricks are Eggsy and Roxy!

22) The skydiving scene - akin to the water tank scene - is a great example of the film’s wonderful set pieces and fun writing. It also gives us Roxy’s fear of heights and/or falling and Eggsy supporting his friend (and later fellow teammates) even though if he left her there it would mean he’d advance through the program. It’s so great! Even Merlin (Mark Strong) is getting tense watching!

23) I get hungry for McDonald’s every time I see this film.

24) The scene where Harry visits Valentine at his home for a gala which turns into a dinner date (basically) is a very Bond scene. They each have a sense for who the other is but play nice, act civil, make vague threats. I call it “Into The Lion’s Den.” Very 007.

25) This. Fucking. Quote.

Harry (quoting Ernest Hemingway): “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”

I live by this fucking quote.

26) This film has some pretty great humor.

Harry (showing Eggsy how a knife hidden in a boot works): “Now do your very best impersonation of a German aristocrat’s formal greeting.”

Harry: “No, Eggsy.”

[Harry clicks his heels and a blade pops out of his right shoe]

27) THIS STUPID BULLSHIT WITH THE DOG!!!!

Arthur [the head of Kingsman, handing Eggsy a gun]: “Shoot the dog.”

So the final test to be a Kingsman agent is to shoot a dog who’ve you spent the last few months training and growing attached to and if you shoot the dog you get in.

(GIF source unknown [if this is your GIF please let me know].)

And later it turns out the gun was only filled with blanks and Harry says Kingsman only condone the taking of a life when it’s necessary.

(GIF originally posted by @karenmpage)

We only condone the taking of a life when it’s considerate and thought out, but we want to make sure all our agents are mindless coldblooded killers who follow orders without questions because that always works so damn well. You know, because we’re the good guys.

 28) The fucking church scene.

So Harry goes to a hate-group church in America which Valentine has shown an interest in to inspect it, and we hear a little bit of their extremely hateful rhetoric before Harry gets up to leave…

Harry: Would you excuse me?

Female Patron: Where are you going?

Female Patron: Hey! What’s your problem?

(GIF source unknown [if this is your GIF please let me know].)

And then Harry gets up to leave and Valentine (who’s in a nearby building) starts a mysterious machine he tests out on the church. What follows is one of the greatest action sequences to grace the screens of cinema:

Content Warning: The below video features hyper-violent, bloody, stylized violence. Watch at your own discretion.

Everything about this scene is perfect. The choice of music feeds directly into the high speed sense of pacing, and the choice to speed up the film just a bit not only supports that same aspect of pacing but also gives the scene the quality of a runaway train. Because that’s what Harry is right now: he’s out of control! He has no ability to make decisions he just lets loose with every hateful whim that pops in his head. But probably the thing that makes this scene work as well as it does is the decision to make it a continuous shot. You cut back to Eggsy, Merlin, and Valentine/Gazelle as they witness this event, but the fight inside of the church itself is a continuous shot (or edited to appear as such). This goes back to my earlier point of how the action of the film plays very much into cause/effect or actions/consequences. You witness every little thing that happens. Harry runs out of bullets? He starts to beat someone with his gun. Someone just tried to stab him? He takes the knife for himself. It is continuous. It flows. And it is just an adrenaline filled scene to watch.

Note: I saw this twice in theaters, the second time with my parents. My mom loves Colin Firth and did not take too kindly to the fact that he murdered a bunch of people. She thought the scene was great, but she didn’t like that they made Colin Firth do that. My mom is very cute sometimes (like when she asked me in Rouge One when Chewbacca was going to show up, knowing full well he didn’t).

29) After the church scene, Valentine shoots Harry point blank in the head and hates how it feels. Gazelle points out that he just killed everyone in that church.

Valentine: “No, no, no, they killed each other.”

That is so fucking important for Valentine’s character. He doesn’t tack responsibility for any of his actions. He doesn’t see himself as the villain. He sees himself as a savior who hasn’t even killed anyone!

30) Note: The scene I’m about to discuss is best experienced without knowing that it’s going to happen. If you want to be surprised by it, skip on to note #31.

So skipping ahead a bit to when Eggsy has infiltrated the enemy base (since all the notes I made during the preceding scenes I’d made already), the way everyone’s head blows up in a scene I call “Pomp & Circumstance” is hysterical.

In contrast to the hyper violent and sometimes too realistic fight in the church, the filmmakers opt to make a more cartoony and artistic violent scene. And if you don’t know it’s coming you laugh so hard when it happens (hence the note above).

31) The song choice of “Give It Up” as Valentine operates his hate machine gives it a similar sense of pacing as “Freebird” did in the church scene. This film really understands that music is it’s friend.

32) This scene seems weirdly empowering towards women.

Swedish Princess (who is captive in Valentine’s base, after Eggsy says he has to save the world before he rescues her): “If you save the world, we can do it in the asshole.”

And in any other movie this would be written off as, “Oh, a guy wrote that line.” But this script was written by a man and a woman, meaning she had to okay it. So…weirdly empowering, right?

I think I should move on.

33) The fight scene between Gazelle and Eggsy may not be the sheer perfection which is the church scene, but it’s a fun watch nonetheless and it uses Gazelle’s blade legs to their advantage.

34) Remember how I said this film’s score incorporates JUST enough 007 in it? Well the little bit of horn we get just before Gazelle dies represents that perfectly. That’s a very James Bond moment.

35)

Valentine [after Eggsy has fatally wounded him]: “Is this the part where you say some really bad pun?”

Eggsy: “It’s like you said to Harry: this ain’t that kind of movie, bruv.”

It kinda is.

36) And we come full circle.

Kingsman is spectacular. It’s possibly my favorite spy movie of 2015 (which had Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Spy, The Man from UNCLE (sorry @theforceisstronginthegirl), Bridge of Spies, and SPECTRE), definitely one of my favorite action movies ever, and hell it’s one of my favorite films of all time. It is just a fun ride with great style, characters, and acting. A true delight through and through. Go watch it now if you can!

Give me a movie/show and I will give you my honest opinion on it (if I have seen it that is).

Rick and Morty (2013-) - Ahahahhaaa!! My friend gave me such a death glare when I asked if it was for kids. X,D For some reason I imaged it being in the same league as “Regular Show” so I kinda avoided it for a long time. Then I actually watched it and marathoner through it in 2 days. I do not find it HAHA funny, but I still very much enjoy it. There is a cleverness to the writing that I like, and the characters are fun. I am really looking forward to the 3rd season. I do however wish that they could stop with the whole “unhappily married couple” routine. It´s not funny or endearing; I just want to shake people.

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003) - Another one of my all time favorite animated movies. The CGI effects have not aged very well, but the rest of the animation is still out of this world. Eris is one of the best villains I know and Proteus is THE price for me. This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again without ever getting tired of it. But now as an adult I do wish that they would have kept in more Middle Eastern influences instead of creating this fantasy Greece land. :P And why was that darn book never explained more properly??? Who made it? Why was it made? What was the world like before it? I want answers!! >:(

Star vs The Forces of Evil (2015-) - I’m currently somewhere in the middle of the latest season, so no spoilers OK. ;) When they released the opening as a teaser I got super exited for the show, but compared to other cartoons like SU, Gravity Falls or Avatar, it didn’t really pull me in. I do watch it (obliviously), but I would never sit up past 12PM to stream it the day it airs. I like Star and Marco as a duo, but I’m not a big fan of the whole romance subplot that has entered the picture. It´s like a watered down version of Kim Possible/Ron (last season), with the difference that they were older, more mature and had both dated other people before even thinking of getting together. That was nice. This tho… Meeeehhh… But I still like it. :D Favorite character = Queen Butterfly

The Swan Princess (1994) - I grew up with this film on VHS and let just say that it was rewinded many many times. Now I like watching it for pure nostalgia. …and ripping the story to shreds. It one of those movies that starts out so promising, but then falls right back into the cliché hole and never manages to get out of it. Like, how much better would it have been if we focused more on the relationship of young Odette and Derek? Then maybe we would have understood better WHY Derek loved her. I did not buy his confession as a kid or now as an adult. PS: I totally had a thing for some of the background ladies as a kid. My bi was showing early on. :P  And also - Why does there exist SEVEN sequels to this movie!! DX

Treasure Planet (2002) - I love this film! Typically I’m not big for sci-fi, but this movie´s aesthetics really gets me. Old fashioned/steampunk ships in the gorgeousness that is space??? GIMME MORE!! (O_O) Who cares is it makes no sense. The story may be really simple, but it´s the characters and their animation what make this movie shine. The only thing that I miss from it really is that emotional connection to Jim´s backstory. I don´t think I have ever shed a tear to his father leaving, which I blame the tone of the montage sequence for. If it had been shown in a more calm manner then I think I would have reacted more strongly. But yes - a 9/10 movie in my books!

Bed of Lies - Jeff Atkins

You shook your head in disbelief. You had just walked in to see Jeff and his ex tangled in the sheets. They both looked like deer in headlights, shocked that you had found them both. Your hand grasped tightly around the door handle, your face turning a very dark shade of red. You turned around, slamming the door behind you. You walked home that night, leaving Jeff to finish whatever had happened, but it was safe to say that your relationship was over.

Imagine Chris helping you take care of your little sister.

A/N: I know it’s been a while, I’ve been suffering from good old writer’s block. Anyway, here’s a piece. I think there may be a part 2 to this, but don’t quote me. We’ll see how the response for this one is. X

Your little sister, Olive, watched cartoons in your living room with your boyfriend, Chris, while you stood in your kitchen on the phone with your mom. The two of you were in the argument of your life thanks to the actions of the youngest member in your family. Your eight year old sister had managed to ditch school after her nanny dropped her off, and somehow found her way to your apartment which was two hours away. As upset as the two of you were at her, you couldn’t help but be amazed by her; she’d only ever been to your apartment with the company of another adult, how she remembered the directions and the address was beyond you.

“Do you think you can watch Olive for a few hours?” Your mom asked and you sighed. “I know you’ve got a big meeting later, but I’ve got a client coming in in about fifteen minutes and your dad’s still operating. I’d send Zoe, but she’s clearly fired after today.” You tried to get a word in but she interrupted, “it’s just a few hours, Y/N.”

“Mom, I can’t risk missing today’s meeting,” you argued. “It’s down to me and-”

“I know, sweetheart,” she said then sighed, “look. I promise I’ll be there before you have to go, I just have to take this client and I’ll cancel the rest of my day. Just give me a few hours,” she told you and you sighed again. “It’s too bad Chris is in Houston, otherwise he could help babysit Olive. He lives for that stuff,” she chuckled softly and you did the same; that was true, he loved her.

“Actually-” you began then winced when you remembered both of you had wanted to keep his return a secret. He had come back a week early to surprise you and he had told no one so he could spend the week with you with no interruptions, but desperate times. “Chris got back early to surprise me, his plane landed at like four in the morning.”

“Great, do you-”

“Mom,” you frowned, “did you not hear what I just said? His plane landed at like four in the morning, he’s exhausted and he needs some sleep. Just-” you ran a hand through your hair; your stress levels were starting to build up. “Finish-” Chris snatched your phone out of your hand before you could say anymore.

“Hi Mom,” Chris greeted your mom, smiling at you even though you were frowning at him. “Thank you, it’s really good to be home. Can’t say I miss your daughter’s angry face though,” he poked your side and your lips quirked slightly. “Don’t worry, I’m more than happy to watch Olive. No, it’s fine. I’m sure she’ll be more than happy to take a nap with me,” he joked then chuckled at something your mom said. “Sure, we’ll talk to you later.” With a smile, he hung up.

“You didn’t have to do that,” you told him as he put the phone down on the kitchen counter. “I know you’re exhausted.” He shrugged nonchalantly. “She’s not your responsibility, Chris. She’s my sister and-” He cut you off with a quick peck on your lips.

“She’s going to be my sister when I marry you,” he whispered, pressing his forehead against yours; you smiled at the thought of him proposing after being together for four years. “Relax, okay? I know I said I was going to sleep while you were at your meeting, but I can sleep when I’m dead.” You chuckled at that. “C'mon,” he took your hand and led you out of the kitchen and into the living room. “She thinks you’re mad at her and I know you’re not, so go tell her that.”

Olive was still sitting on the couch with her eyes glue to the television, but you could tell from the guilty look on her face that she hadn’t been watching Tom&Jerry. You and Chris stood in the archway and watched her; you were yet to decide if you were upset with her. It didn’t take you long to decide because this was your baby sister, no matter what she did or said- there wouldn’t be a day where you wouldn’t have a soft spot for her.

“Are you mad at me?” Olive sheepishly asked, looking over at you. You sighed with a small smile as you made your way over to her. “I’m really sorry, Sissy. I know you had a big meeting today, I just didn’t-” You knelt down in front of her as her pretty brown eyes welled with tears. “I’m so sorry,” she started to cry.

“Don’t be, sweet pea.” You took her small hands in yours. “It’s only a meeting, okay?” You lied to her, “I can always reschedule.” You pulled one hand away and lifted her chin with your index finger. “Don’t cry, sweetheart. It’s not important, it’s just a meeting. You’re okay,” you brushed her tears away with your hand.

“But Mom and Dad both said that it’s important,” she sniffled. “They said it’s about big movie deal and that if you miss it, you’re going to lose the job and get into big trouble with your agent. I knew that and I still came, I’m so sorry. I’m going to ruin your career,” she wept and your heart ached.

“She’s not going to miss her meeting, bug.” Chris walked over and sat down next to Olive, wrapping a comforting arm around her small frame. “Don’t worry, she’s going to go to her meeting and you’re going to hang out with me. It’s okay,” he gently rubbed her arm. “Hey,” he said and she looked up at him, sniffling. “Your sister’s career is not that easy to ruin, she’s dating a dumb dork and she’s still one of the highest ranking actresses in Hollywood.” He joked, drawing soft giggles from Olive, and a chuckle from you. “There’s that smile,” he poked her cheek and her giggles became louder.

“Why don’t you tell us why you ditched school?” You asked and saw her facials contorted with angst. “We can’t help you if you don’t tell us, Olive.” You told her when she looked hesitant to tell you and Chris; she glanced between the both of you, chewing on the inside of her cheek.

“You’re friends with Captain America for a reason, bug.” Chris whispered in her ear and she managed a small smile. “Whatever it is, I promise you that I will do everything in my power to protect you. Just tell us what happened,” he gently urged.

Her head dropped and she whispered softly, “everybody thinks I’m weird.” She looked up and continued, “they all think it’s impossible that I’m your sister. Nobody believes me when I tell them, they say that we are nothing alike and that I’m lying when I say I know you and Chris. But I’m not lying, Sissy.” She lowered her gaze and mumbled to herself, “I’m not lying.”

“I know you’re not,” you chuckled softly, lifting her chin so you could meet her gaze. “How can it be a lie when we’re right in front of you?” She smiled when you booped her nose. “Baby, people are going to say what they’re going to say. You can’t stop that, but you can stop letting it affect you. It doesn’t matter what they think because you are my sister and you do know us.”

“Yeah,” Chris nodded. “You’re the one that gets to come to our premieres, you’re the one that gets to hang out on our sets, you’re the one I carry on my shoulders at football games and have tickle fights with.” He reminded her, playfully tickling her sides and making her laugh. “Not your school mates,” he told her, smiling. “So who cares what they think? They’re just jealous they don’t have the same opportunities you do. Just keep your head up, play it cool, and it’ll blow over soon.”

“Yeah,” you agreed. “And if it doesn’t, I think Captain America and I can drop by and pick you up after school one day.” You suggested and she looked between the two of you with a wide grin. “Can’t we, Cap?” You winked at him and he winked back, nodding. “That’ll show them, won’t it?” You asked Olive and she nodded excitedly. “But you have to promise me something if you want that to happen.”

“Anything,” she nodded.

“Don’t ever do something like this again,” you told her with slightly narrowed eyes and she lowered her gaze sheepishly. “What if something happened to you on your way here, Olive? You’re eight years old, someone could’ve just grabbed you off the street.” You scolded. “This was a very stupid thing to do, you know that right?”

“I know, but-” she looked up, trying to argue but was cut off by your glare; Chris pressed his lips together, suppressing his smile because it seemed like that glare of yours worked on anyone. “I know,” she mumbled, lowering her gaze once more. “I won’t do it again, Sissy.”

“Good,” you softened your facials. “To be honest, I’m more impressed than upset. How on earth did you find your way here by yourself?” You asked as you rose to your feet; your eyes narrowed when you saw your boyfriend and your sister share a knowing smile. “Is that why your bagel run took so long, because you drove two hours to pick her up?”

“No, it took so long because the line was ridiculously long,” he stuck with his story and you shot him a weary look. “And I had to wait for Scott to drop her off,” he added then pressed his lips together. “What?” He chuckled when you scoffed. “She texted me and told me she didn’t want to go to school, I mean- have you ever seen me say no to you Y/L/N ladies? Scott was in that area so I asked if he could pick her up and drop her off.”

“How did you know Chris was coming back?” You asked Olive.

“Because he told me he was coming home early to surprise you,” she giggled. “He’s also-”

“Uh uh,” Chris cut her off, laughing, his hand over her mouth. “You’ve said too much already.”

“What are you talking about?” You raised an eyebrow.

“Nothing,” Chris smiled. “You should go get ready for your meeting, don’t you also have some emails and whatnots to attend to?” He quizzed and you nodded, narrowing your eyes at his odd behavior. “Go on,” he beckoned his head towards your home office. “We’ll be fine, we’re just going to watch some Tom&Jerry. Right, Olive?” He asked her and she nodded, noising agreement into his hand.

“Whatever,” you chuckled softly and made your way into the home office.

In the living room, Chris and Olive discussed out of your earshot. “She has no clue you’re going to propose, does she?” Olive asked her soon-to-be brother-in-law, giggling. “I am so excited!” She squealed, hopping off the couch. “When are you going to do it? Can I see the ring? Please, Chris? Can I see it?” She jumped up and down; Chris laughed and rose to his feet, picking her up with one arm and spinning her.

“How about you quiet down before you ruin the surprise?”

Here’s Part 2 and Part 3

Dishwasher Safe - Three

Totally should have given this a sexier name…

“If you wanted to borrow a butt plug you only had to ask, Spencer.”

The look on his face was priceless and you wished you’d had your camera out to record both that, and his fumble as he turned and tossed the butt plug onto the bed.

“I think that one’s probably too large for you anyway, Reid. There’s a smaller one in there, for beginners. And plenty of lube. Just give it a good clean before hand. Who would have thunk it eh? But then again, it is always the quiet ones…. ”

“I wasn’t…. I didn’t…. I’m not…. ”

“Please do try to come up with a plausible excuse as to why you’re going through my drawer of goodies. I’d just love to hear it,” you leaned against your door frame, trying not to smirk like a cheshire cat.

“I was…. I’m not…. Oh God I should just leave,” he spun on the spot and suddenly ploughed forward towards the doorway. You put your hand out in a stop motion.

“Nope. Gonna need an explanation Spencer.”

He cheeks were flushed red and his eyes were wide and darting all over the place like he’d rather look anywhere else in the room than at you.

“I was… I’m…. ”

“Curious?” you decided to throw him a bone. His face suddenly seemed to relax as if that the perfect explanation he’d been looking for. He nodded.

“Fair enough. Why were curious though?”

You saw him hesitate again, his mouth opening and closing a few times like a fish.

“Spencer, just ask. We’re both adults here.”

“Doyoureallyuseallthosethings?” he blurted out.

“Well they’re hardly just for show.”

“By yourself?” he gulped and you laughed.

“No. It’s not exactly safe to handcuff yourself to a bed whilst wearing a plug unless you have a partner that you know is coming home,” you bit your lip, trying to not to laugh.

He goldfished again for a moment. “I should leave…. I’ll just, I’ll check into a hotel.”

“No. Sit your butt down on the bed Reid.”

He didn’t move so you crossed the room and stood in the front of him, placing your hand on his chest and pushing firmly but gently. “Sit your butt down on the bed.”

He sat.

“Does it bother you knowing that I have all these things?”

He shook his head slightly and shifted uncomfortably.

“So what then?”

Spencer decided to twist the truth oh slightly. Because it did bother him but not in a bad way. Well, he guessed it depended on how you looked it. “I just…. Given your age and that you’re a single female, statistics would state that it would be expected for you to have a sex toy of some sort…”

Good old Spencer, reverting to statistics when he was nervous.

“I just didn’t expect you to have so many.”

“You mean you didn’t expect to discover that I’m a kinky little freak?”

“No! Wait… Yes?” he scrunched his nose up and frowned.

“Well it’s not really something I go shouting about to be honest. There’s some things your colleagues just don’t need to know.”

He wanted to ask so many questions suddenly. So many inappropriate questions.

“I’m your colleague though, and I know.”

This was true and there were reasons you weren’t freaking out about that fact. But you weren’t getting in to them just yet. “You do. But I hardly think you’re going run into work on Monday and start discussing my toy and outfit collection with the rest of the BAU.”

“Outfits?!?” he squeaked.

“Oh yeah. Top drawer is toys, second drawer is mainly restraints and gear, third drawer is stuff for role play.”

You could see that his poor little mind was being blown. Not because any of this was stuff that he didn’t know about. Given how fast he read and some of the stuff he said on cases, you knew he had knowledge of certain kinks. He just wasn’t expecting to ever associate them with you.

“Y/N, I should just… I’m gonna…. This is weird. I’m sorry for not respecting your privacy…. I’m just going to go.”

“Why is it weird Spencer? We all have our little kinks, our little fantasies. Some people just actually go through with them and act them out. That’s not weird. Tell me that you didn’t see anything in that drawer that made you wonder…. ”

“I’m sorry, I… I can’t.” With that, he jumped up from the bed and scurried out of the room, the apartment door slamming a few seconds later.

You sighed. That was a shame, you thought to yourself. But then again, he’d gone from seeing one dildo to a whole drawer of treasures. And from having the knowledge that you weren’t just the sort of girl to use toys but that you were the sort of girl who liked to role play, liked to act things out. That was a lot.

He wouldn’t say anything to the others, you knew that much. Spencer wasn’t like that, which was why you got on with him so well. You trusted him. And recently, since the dishwasher incident you’d started to wonder whether there might be something else there too. Being the profiler that you were it was easy to pick up on the slight changes in his behaviour to you over the past few days. The looks, the flushes on his cheeks. When you’d called him earlier, you hadn’t been running late. And your drawer had purposely been left ajar. You just wanted to see. See whether what you suspected was true. Because if it was, then he might ask well find about THAT side of you now, so that he could run the mile so many other guys did when they found out.

But he HAD ran. So…

Spencer spent the new few hours walking around the city, slipping in and out of bookshops and cafes, his mind in overdrive. Should he leave, move into a hotel for the next few months? Should he just go back and pretend that nothing has happened?

Because, what had happened really? He’d discovered a side of Y/N that he didn’t expect. And realised whilst the initial discovery had been a shock, now it just added a number of new images to his brain. When she’d stood in front of him and pushed him down onto the bed he’d had to suddenly think of crime scenes, dead bodies, anything to stop himself getting turned on. Cos that’s what had started to happen. The change in her voice had been slight but the command was there and her touch had been firm. He could only imagine what it would be like if….. Well, if they’d been doing something else.

Her attitude towards him not respecting her privacy had been a surprise to him as well now he thought about it. It was like she’d been expecting him to go through her things although that couldn’t be right at all. But she’d been so open with him, not angry at all. She trusted him, she’d said.

After nearly four hours out of the apartment he decided to return. It was getting late and cold. He’d just apologise to her and leave it at that. He didn’t want to make things weird and his little, well whatever it was, would go away. When he returned she was sprawled on the couch watching a movie, dressed in her pajamas. Seeing him enter she glanced over and paused the film.

“Hey.”

“Erm hi. Listen, Y/N. I’m super sorry about earlier. I disrespected your privacy and I don’t even really know why. I seem to have turned into some pervy little teenager who let curiosity get the better of him just because he saw a sex toy,” he laughed, trying to make the situation light hearted. “It won’t happened again, and I’m sorry if it seemed like I freaked out as well. I was just surprised that’s all. And I really shouldn’t have been. It’s all completely normal and perfectly healthy and….” he realised he was over killing his apology when her lips started to twitch up.

“Anyway. I’m sorry. I’d really appreciate it if we could just forget about the whole thing?”

She hesitated slightly, her eyes watching him carefully.

“Sure, if that’s what you want.”

“Thank you. I’ll leave you to your movie then. Good night,” he started to walk away but she called out his name, stopping him.

“Spencer. Before you go I just have one question. When you found all those things and realised what they implied, you were shocked. That much was obvious. But was it disgust or were you intrigued?”

Spencer thought carefully about his answer. On one hand it would be easier to say disgust and just explain it that none of the that was his sort of thing. But the truth was, he didn’t know if it WAS his sort of thing or not.

“Intrigued.”

Y/N nodded, her face clear and not giving any reaction. She turned back to her movie and unpaused it. “Night Spencer.”

“Goodnight Y/N.”

He couldn’t sleep. He’d been lying there for a few hours, hearing Y/N enter her bedroom around thirty minutes ago. His brain wouldn’t shut off again and he was fidgety and restless. Maybe he’d just go back to the living room, grab a beer or something and watch some TV. Try to distract himself. Yes, that’s what he’d do.

He climbed out of bed and exited the guest room he’d been staying in, trying not to make any noise as he walked passed Y/N’s room. Her door was slightly ajar and he didn’t want to wake her.

Turns out he didn’t have to worry about that. As soon as he passed her doorway he heard her. Moaning and gasping.

Oh good lord. Go back to your room Spencer or continue to the living room.

Except, he couldn’t move. The sounds he was hearing were delicious and he couldn’t stop his brain starting to form images of her lying on her bed, fucking herself. What was she using he wondered? Just her fingers, or one of the many toys she had. His dick grew hard and as she whimpered again he knew that he wasn’t going to walk any further. At least not until the noises stopped. He leaned against the wall, his hand rubbing over himself as he listened to her gasps, her breaths catching in her throat. He closed his eyes and just decided to go with it, trying not to think of what a pervert he was being right now. Slipping his hand into his pajama pants Spencer took hold of his cock, sliding his hand up and down it as Y/N’s moans filled his ears, his head lolling back and hitting the wall softly. He paused, hoping she hadn’t heard that and when her groans continued so did he.

He became so engrossed in the act of getting himself off that he didn’t notice the sound of her bed creaking, or that her gasps had become further apart.

He didn’t notice her door open all the way either until she spoke to him.

“So are you just going to stand outside all night or are you actually going to come in?”

Frank Castle hasn’t been on a real date since the last time Hell’s Kitchen had a drive-in movie theatre. That was approximately a decade ago, if his math is right, but Christ only knows he isn’t great with numbers. Or dates. His general perception of time has begun to edge out of sync with reality, in all honesty.

It Was The 4th Of July (Owen Grady x Reader)

Warning: Partially NSFW

Warning 2.0: SO MUCH FLUFF GUYS

The first time you saw Owen there were fireworks.

Not the metaphorical kind that have been made so cliché by countless movies and books, but the real kind that explode into the night and light up the sky. It was on the first night that Jurassic World had opened its doors. Despite the fact that you worked as a waitress at Margaritaville, you’d been asked beforehand to help put up the numerous banners and decorations welcoming the guests and reminding them that this was the start of a new scientific—and entertainment—era; as if people didn’t already know. It’d been obnoxiously busy that day with people packed in the park like sardines, but the fireworks show somehow made everything worth it. They were beautiful and captivating, and the only thing that made you shift your gaze from the explosions was Owen.

  • back then when both of yall were 12, your parents had to leave the country for a business trip for a few days
  • and for some reason they trusted the both of you to stay at home and not cause any trouble
  • “mark, take good care of your sister we’ll be back soon”

  • and you’re so used to it you dont even bother doing anything anymore
  • “he’s busy, he’s always busy, dont ask me”
  • would probably barge into your room in the middle of the night
  • to ask you for ideas for lyrics
  • or to tell you random and weird facts that he probably read online
  • or even just suggesting to watch a movie together because he was bored
  • never gets pissed & mad at you
  • in your whole life, probably only once or twice??
  • because he’s an angel
  • and they were over matters where he was concerned for you, so you couldn’t blame him for getting mad
  • like that one time he found out you skipped school just because you werent feeling your best and he got all worried after he heard from his classmate
  • he left school early just to find you
  • and thank goodness he found you at your favourite park just staring blankly
  • then he shouted at you for not telling him and making him worry, saying how he’s upset and scared that you had gotten in trouble
  • but as soon as he saw you cry
  • he’d soften and apologise for shouting
  • and become the sweetest brother ever!! he’d let you cry on his shoulders and listen to your problems
  • he even offered to treat you to your favourite ice cream?? aw
  • always complaining about the boys to you
  • mainly the dreamies
  • especially hyuck & chenle
  • on how they always tease him and make fun of him
  • and when you finally met them, you joined their squad™
  • hyuck & you would always plan pranks together and enjoy laughing at mark’s reactions
  • while the other members take care of you
  • “MARGARIE’S SISTER AYE” -jaehyoons
  • “Y/N ah, did you eat well today? do you want to stay for dinner?” -taeyong mom
  • “omg Y/N’s as cute as our mark!!” -mark’s number 1 fan, doyoung
  • very overprotective
  • like that one day he found out you were dating jaemin
  • (you couldn’t help it this boy was making your heart pump so quickly as if it was popping out of your chest)
  • “wHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU’RE DATING Y/N?”
  • “HYUNG CALM DOWN, we’ve been dating for 2 months already-”
  • “TWO? TWO??? oh my god i cant believe this, i feel so… betrayed”
  • “mark you’re overreacting”
  • “no im not, AS YOUR BROTHER I HAVE THE RIGHTS-”
  • “as if you’re against jaemin” “or are you omg”
  • “YOU COULD’VE PICKED JENO OR RENJUN BUT- jaemin? Y/N i dont know what to say”
  • “hyung am i that bad”
  • “no you’re not, it’s okay this is too much for me, i’ll talk to you all tomorrow”
  • 2 hours later you receive a text from him
  • “got to be honest here,, i fully support you and jaemin, this kid will take good care of you. i trust that and i trust him. i’m happy for you all”
  • and you get another text from jaemin
  • “babe!! hyung just came into my room and gave me a long talk, on all the things you like, your habits and all wow. he looks really happy about this matter though-much different to his reaction just now, is this a good sign?”
  • eventually he often brings you two out for lunch
  • and is always interested to hear stories or interesting things that happen between you two
  • aside from all that
  • he’s really supportive!
  • everything you do he’d give you positive feedback and give you encouraging words if you need it
  • because after all you both are siblings/twins, you have the same personality and he understands how you feel deeply so he tries his best to motivate you while he can
  • makes really bad jokes all the time
  • but you still laugh because hey, at least he’s trying
  • and he gets all giggly and confident after that
  • hypes you up A LOT
  • “Y/N LEEEEEEEEE”
  • “WOO THAT’S MY SISTER”
  • “AYEAYEAYEAYE”
  • which is why hyuck always teases him about
  • “hyung you never do that to me”
  • “you’re not my sister”
  • “oh”
  • “kidding dont be mad”
  • “sorry cant talk right now”
  • all in all
  • he’s always bringing you happiness
  • and he’s also there to be your pillar of support
  • dotes on you a lot!!
  • even though you cant see it because he doesnt express himself well
  • but you know he cares and loves you
  • so you love and cherish him as a brother too!!

You don’t know how but you manage to fall sleep.

“Wake up.”  You look up and see Ryan holding a bottle of water with a smug smile. You sit up on the floor and he leans down in front of you. You knew Ryan for 3 years and you never were afraid of him, until now. His eyes are cold, he looks furious and you can even see a vain popping out on his forehead.

He hands you the bottle and says “Drink up.” His voice is harsh, you nod glad to accept the water. He keeps staring at you, you feel uncomfortable so you clear your throat and ask “What am I doing here?”

Bughead Greaser au

Words: 1646

——————————————————————————————-

Jughead could remember the exact moment his life was turned upside down. It was the day his mother left. He knew in that moment that his life would never be the same.

It was a gradual process. A couple missed classes here and there turned into days then weeks that Jughead just wouldn’t show up to school at all. He cut ties with his old friends in ways he knew they wouldn’t miss him when he was officially gone; he couldn’t in his right mind drag them down too.

Now Jughead’s days consisted mostly of hanging out with the few Serpent teens he could tolerate in an old junkyard fixing up old bikes and crappy cars to the best of their abilities. Most days were spent in silence, the odd small talk here and there. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, for Jughead today was different.

“The party’s going to be pretty small,” Joaquin stated in an attempt to coerce Jughead into going with him.

“Tell me again why I have to go with you to meet your boyfriend’s friends,” Jughead scoffed from the other side of the junker they were working on.

“A buffer,” Joaquin simply laughed. “I mean let’s be honest Jughead, me spending more than a couple hours with Riverdale’s finest…” Joaquin stated. “That’s just a disaster waiting to happen.”

After a good twenty minutes of back and forth, Jughead reluctantly and unknowingly agreed to hang out with the very people he’d been avoiding, for an entire night.

***

Jughead didn’t dread hanging out with people so much as he dreaded the small talk that came with being in a group of people you don’t know. He tried to look as nice as he could. Jughead knew this night was important for Joaquin. He had his curls slicked back into his signature beanie, a navy blue and black flannel was actually worn as intended rather than tied around his waist, which he wore open with a black shirt beneath it. Even Jughead had to he looked good. With a quick deep breath, Jughead set out to meet with his friend.

“So, who’s all at this thing again?” Jughead asked as him and Joaquin drove out to Kevin’s place across town.

“Well there’s Kevin, and then there’s three of his closest friends,” Joaquin half-heartedly explains. “And don’t worry, you can still brood in the corner, we’re watching movies and eating pizza,” Jughead lagged at Joaquin’s reply. He would be civil and converse, he’s a loner, not an asshole.

As the pair drove up to the house Jughead saw an all too familiar face walking up the front steps. There she was, the only girl he’s ever loved, Betty Cooper.

Betty’s hair was shorter now than he remembered, she seemed to have cut her hair so it fell in waves just above her shoulders. She was dressing differently as well; straying away from her usual pink for dark navy’s and deep purples, walking in wedges or boots rather than her signature flats.

“Jug?” Joaquin broke Jughead out of his trance.

“Why didn’t you tell me she was going to be here,” Jughead whispered, still looking out the window to where the blonde was previously standing.

“I didn’t think you would come if I told you,” Joaquin replied.

“No shit,” Jughead answered turning to face his friend.

“Honestly, I thought when I told you my boyfriend’s name it would’ve tipped you off.”

“Obviously not,” Jughead states.

“Look Jug, I understand if you want to bail but I’m still going in there, and I’m going to have to tell them why you wouldn’t come in,” Joaquin teases. Jughead and Joaquin quickly made their way up the front steps and rang the bell. Both of the boys anxiously dreading this night for two very different reasons. Kevin opened the door greeting Joaquin with a chaste kiss and Jughead with a curt nod.

Jughead took in the scene before him. His former best friend laughing with his girlfriend on the couch. Or at least Jughead assumes they’re dating by the way Archie and Veronica were draped over each other. Joaquin and Kevin were narrowing down the list of movies to watch, but there was no sign of Betty.

“Jug?!” Archie asks astounded, he gets off the couch and moves to hug his estranged best friend.

“Wow,” Veronica starts from her position on the couch. “Johnny Cade lives.”

“Hey V,” Jughead stated simply, the two of them had never gotten the chance to actually become friends. “Kev, mind if I get some water?” Jughead asked; Kevin gave him a quick wave which Jughead took as his go ahead.

Seeing them was hard, all Jughead could think about was how many escape trips he was going to have to make to the kitchen or bathroom when Betty walked through the swinging door. “Hey, Juggie.”
