Awe, look at the lovely couple on the right in mid March of 16. Are we to believe that Sam and she were a hot and heavy couple by April? Let’s add in all the instances where these two were together during the Autumn in New York. There is evidence to that too, so something tells me this is the real thing. Why can we get pictures like this of her real bf, but not the fake one? It would be so easy yet they just don’t exist. Don’t give me the privacy shtick either when you throw out innuendo of a common location. This photo is from a public account also.
Okay so none of my friends have read TRC though (that I can remember) so like… who is gonna volunteer… who is gonna be my TRC friend… who is gonna let me add them on skype and livechat my reading experience and queer headcanons………….
So my roundup of how fucking wacky batshit the grumps are in general got loads of notes, and I wanted to do a list of, y’know, their actual show’s best moments.
But we all know Battle Kid, Teletubbies, Mark Zuckerberg and all those sorts of classic moments, so I’ve, over several days, accumulated a number of my personal favourite moments that are underrated compared to the classics, because most of my personal favourite moments are. I’ve used quotes as titles that hopefully give the flavour of the moment without spoiling the moment itself.
Draco and Harry become coworkers after the war, they decide to stop fighting and even become somewhat friendly. They end up hooking up after a ministry event, but Harry makes it pretty clear that it was just a one night thing and it won’t work between them because of their past.
A usual response would be a sad, self-depricating Draco. But no. Instead, Draco cultivates an elaborate plan to redeem himself to rub it in to stupid Potter’s stupid face. He’ll show him who’s not good enough.
He contacts everyone he’s ever hurt and asks for a chance to earn their forgiveness. That includes all the Weasleys, his estranged aunt, baby Teddy, Hermione, Luna, Dean, Neville, Ollivander, Madam Rosmerta, random Hogwarts class mates, anyone he can think of.
He supports and helps Hermione with her house elf legislation proposal, goes to Dean’s art shows, joins Luna’s weird creature expeditions, works odd shifts on Three Broomsticks, plays unnecessarily competitive chess with Ron, finds and tends to a borderline illegal plant with Neville, looks at obscure muggle stuff with Arthur, baby sits Teddy and just generally has so much fun?
What starts out as a mission to spite Harry ends up becoming a huge journey to discover himself. He makes new friends, reconnects with his family, grows and changes as a person and learns so many new things! The only problem is that he’s just so busy that he sort of… forgets about Harry and the aforementioned face rubbing.
Harry doesn’t forget though, he’s watching all this happen from the outside thinking ‘idk what’s happening to Malfoy but i need to know MORE’
The main point of this is to show that we should love and appreciate him whatever the situation. So without further ado, here are 100 reasons to love Daniel James Howell a.k.a. @danisnotonfire! Feel free to add to the list!
His name is so bloody British and I love it.
He’s British and so has a British accent.
He has the warmest eyes on the planet.
He is a soft squish…
…but also really fucking hot.
He fits perfectly into the “get a man who can do both” scheme in every way possible.
He is patient.
He is really fucking kind, loving and affectionate.
His sarcasm is on point.
He’s the ultimate memelord…
…but he is a human who feels human emotions and has human thoughts.
He has a better origin story than Batman.
He is intelligent.
He is also really fucking creative.
He has a wide range of talents…
…including being a great actor, singing and playing piano.
He is consistently loyal.
He is unapologetic in who he is and what he thinks.
Even when he hated himself, he didn’t try to change himself in anyway.
He is aware of his limitations and has not a drop of arrogance.
His hair always looks good, whether straight, hobbity, in a quiff or just unnecessarily long.
He was the cutest foetus, and is now the cutest man.
He has taught me more about life in less than a year than I’ve learned anywhere else.
He has shown so much wisdom and so many well-thought-out ideas…
…and god knows how many more he has.
Basically he’s the wisest man I’ve ever met at the young age of 25.
He is honest and expressive about who he is.
He has stuck with us since 2009. TWO THOUSAND AND NINE.
He deserves the world, but I don’t remember the last time he asked us or anyone for anything.
He has a great sense of humour.
He is relatable and understands how people think.
He is open to diversity in society and ideals in every topic area.
His best friend is the world’s other leading sweetheart, Philip Michael Lester.
Together they are the sun and the moon (who’s who, I’ll let you decide).
Together they’ve done so much and pushed the boundaries, which include:
- Writing two books full of memories and good-natured banter, which you can tell were made straight from the heart.
- Making a game together.
- Doing an original long-term radio show on BBC Radio 1.
- Writing a script for a full-scale stage show.
- Taking that stage show around the world to meet as many of their fans as possible.
- Making that stage show and its development into two movies.
I literally could go on for hours about what they’ve done together, which is a feat in itself and deserves to be its own reason.
Basically they are YouTube’s Power Duo, as acclaimed by the King of YouTube himself.
They’ve been best friends for over seven years, and roommates for about five (as of the date this post was published).
They are totally identical and yet total opposites.
You get the idea, they are friendship goals is what I’m saying.
He never uses clickbait - all his titles and thumbnails are completely relevant to the video’s content/purpose…
…which is not the same for most YouTubers or internet stars, which makes him even more special.
He has brown hair. (This is a matter of personal preference, but brown hair is hot, okay? Don’t kinkshame me.)
He is a nerd, and nerds are cool.
He encourages weirdness.
He appreciates the art form and subculture that is video-gaming.
He loves and appreciates anime…
…and is generally a massive weeaboo.
He has dimples, really deep ones at that.
His smile lights up a dark room…
…as does his laugh.
While he can be a kinky lil shit, he is also the purest man I’ve ever known.
He has freckles.
His collarbones, thighs and arms are ∞/10 (let’s be real though, everything is).
He understands irony, which in this generation is a necessary life skill.
He has inspired creativity and art.
He has great taste in music.
His obsession with shibes is my aesthetic.
His aesthetic is on point.
He is kind of a devil but also an angel (thought I’d mention this on no. 66).
He’s so affectionate and expressive, you have no idea.
He is never afraid to stand up for who he loves…
…or what he thinks is right.
Basically he cares more about justice than his own reputation, I wish more people were like that.
He is honest.
He is good with animals and loves dogs.
He has saved millions of lives, including mine.
Very few people have achieved the above point at all in history…
…and he did it with just a laptop, a camera and wit…
…and he did it in less than a decade. Tell me he’s not a hero.
He makes an active effort to interact with us by hosting weekly liveshows and responding to our tweets.
He is able to joke about his mistakes and insecurities.
He is able to discuss death and existentialism.
He’s over 6ft tall. (What? Tall people are another one of my kinks. Don’t lie to me, you can relate and you know it.)
He’s brought people together and inspired friendship and love.
He’s really fucking brave.
He isn’t one to kinkshame people.
He calls himself jealous, but was he jealous when Phil won Creator of the Year at the BONCAs? Hell, no. He was happier that Phil won it than he would have been if he himself had won it.
Phil called him up on stage to share the award with him but at the end he still said “Phil Lester, everyone!” and in doing so was still giving Phil full credit.
If he’d won that award, we all know that he would have called Phil up just like Phil did to him.
Basically he’s really fucking selfless.
He’s not afraid to show what he has/feels against society and labels. That takes guts.
He isn’t one to get involved in drama, and when he does it’s for the right reason.
He’s donated thousands of pounds to charity, including 100% of the profits from The Internet Is Here.
He cowrote and featured in a chart-topping single with Phil, The Internet Is Here.
He doesn’t underestimate us, or anyone else.
He doesn’t undervalue us either, he really loves and cherishes us.
He has always persevered, whether dealing with bullying or self-esteem issues or pressure from work/uni.
He is very civilised and cultured.
He has worked very hard on every single project he’s ever engaged, whether it be a BBC documentary or a stage show or just a casual video.
He handles negativity extremely well.
He is the literal antonym of the term ‘sell-out’.
He’s learned not to give a fuck about how people perceive him, which is something many people never learn.
He is everything and more that we could ask of anyone, and is the perfect role model/idol. We need more people like him to exist, and I love him to the bottom of my heart.
100 reasons doesn’t even begin to cover why we should love Daniel James Howell, but it’s a start.
Color Reference Guide to Recognize & Avoid Whitewashing
I’ve made a tutorial on how to color adjust to fix washed out colorings, but I noticed people aren’t always sure when their coloring needs fixing in the first place. So I’ve made a bunch of colorings you can use to compare your own to. It’s designed to help avoid whitewashing, but also help avoid over-correction.
If you’re not a content creator, you can also use this guide for reblogging as well. :)
Using the Guide
Each set comes in three: cool, neutral, and warm. If your coloring is bluer/whiter than the cool tone, consider readjusting.
Examples of what might be too pale/bright are beneath each set
There are various categories (daytime, night scenes, etc) for each type of scene you might encounter
Each coloring has a color palette beneath for the highlights, midtones, and shadows of the character’s face. If you’re having trouble eyeballing it, use the eyedropper tool to double check.
NOTES 1)For the sake of simplicity, I’ve used one character per category, but characters of color are not interchangeable. Identify the skin tone for the character you’re coloring and work with that. This is only meant to give a frame of reference for what is and isn’t whitewashing
2)If any of the colorings look different than what they’ve been stated as (i.e. the cool tones look too warm or some look way too dark to be visible) calibrate your monitor. It means your screen color and gamma needs readjustment.
