As Saint Heron put it, this new indie film is fill of Afro-Futurism and black girl magic for that ass. Titled Ori Inu: In Search of Self, we follow the story of Natalia, an 18-year-old Afro-Brazilian who is faced with internal conflict of dealing with two seemingly different worlds in order to gain a better understanding of self. There’s no set release date, but you can keep tabs on the latest updates here. Check the trailer below:

Solange Knowles, Corinne Bailey Ray, Esperanza Spalding, Les Nubians and Juno Temple are featured in an issue of T Magazine in a spread titled ‘Nightie Aphrodites’. The black and white editorial features celebrities with natural hair. The editorial was photographed by Alice O’Malley and styled by Susan Winget.
I love seeing celebrities with natural hair, anyone who actually follows my blog should know my obsession with afros. I lovvveee afrros. I can’t say it enough! And I love seeing celebrities with afros. More girls ought to go natural… really… Anyhow, I won’t go on a Chris-Rock-good-hair rant.
As an aside - I actually have an afro but will only post pictures when I feel satisfied that it is worth posting pictures of (don’t ask). I’ll post them soon though.
