Grantaire is either extremely productive or not productive at all. Like, on productive days, Enjolras will come home and Grantaire will be rearranging his sock drawer. “Did you have a good day?” Enjolras will ask with a smile and Grantaire will reply with a list of things he’s done that day, including the laundry, the dishes, cleaning the windows, cleaning out the fridge and food pantry, preparing dinner, taking out the trash, and vacuuming all the floors.
okay so this post is wrong but what the heck it’s a Tumblr post, right, it’s mostly a joke, only it’s so perfectly echoing an idea I’ve seen elsewhere too, from actual paid critics and academic critiques, that Hugo “wasn’t writing for emotional teenagers”, that he’d be horrified by fandom, that he was too High and Erudite for the likes of screaming theater kids and emotional teenagers
Victor Hugo knew what fandom was. And he absolutely LOVED it.
Going directly from reading Les Mis headcanons to reading Communist shitposts can mess with your mind. I saw the phrase “there is no ethical consumption under late capitalism”, and the first thing that popped into my head was “well, yes, tuberculosis is an awful disease, but I’m not sure I’d describe it as unethical”.
I have absolutely no idea why tumblr keeps recommending @farmers-against-thespians to me but I think it’s hilarious that when I went to check out their blog out of curiosity, all the sponsored ads were for Cabaret the musical
Ma tu non eri così prima, quando stavi male, quando eri incazzata: piangevi, urlavi, ti sfogavi.
Adesso guardati: stai crollando e non lo sa nessuno, continui a sorridere, come se non stesse succedendo niente.
