1) It was amazing.
2) Even though I knew what was going to happen, it made me scared throughout the whole thing.
3) I cried a lot.
4) I sang a lot.
5) I was torn quite often. I hated Gaston’s character for obvious reasons but then at the same time I loved him because Luke Evans is one of my favorite actors of all time. And his VOICE.
6) LE FOU AND STANLEY.
7) Audra McDonald is queen.
8) Baby Chip oh my god.
9) I pity anyone else in the theater cause I kept freaking out.
Vivre avec quelqu'un de malade mentalement c'est dur ?
Alors deux comment on fait ? On s'éloignent ? On demande de l'aide ? On les laissent tomber ? On les aident du mieux qu'on peux ? On essayent de les comprendre ? On devient fou ?
Mon père et ma sœur sont malade , je peux vous dire qu'au quotidien c'est pas facile et qu'il y a beaucoup de disputes.
disney has some real nerve for this le fou nonsense when howard ashman saved the disney film studios from financial ruin with his own two hands in 1989 & ensured they would be around long enough to make these high budget remakes decades later. like full offense disney if ashman hadn’t 1) saved your company and 2) provided you with the formula you now attempt to replicate you wouldn’t be here raking in millions in profit with rote imitations of his work 20 yrs later. “why does disney need to have gay characters?” bc the man who gave you your entire childhood and disney the longevity to make ugly remakes of his movies would’ve wanted there to be gay characters and not just gay coded narratives by the year of 2017, THAT’S WHY.
Everyone keeps on saying Disney is taking a big risk with Le
Fou being gay and I feel like people don’t understand what a risk is.
First of all, this is Disney you’re talking about. Last
year, they had seven major blockbusters that killed it at the box office. Do
you really think that a company that is making money in their sleep is in any
danger? No really, do you really think Disney is any danger of losing money?
Secondly, taking a risk has to be…well risky. Le Fou being
gay isn’t a risk because Le Fou is not a major player within the story of
Beauty and the Beast. Hell, I don’t even think Le Fou showed up in Kingdom
Hearts despite Beast and Belle playing a huge role in the game. So many people
don’t even know who he is. A risk would be making the Beast a woman and having
a lesbian romance. Or having Belle be a black woman and Beast be a Chinese man.
Those are risks. There is nothing risky about the whole Le Fou thing.
Can people please stop acting like Disney is this tiny ass
company that is trying their best? You don’t have to coddle them.
It pisses me off so much that countless people are going to see BATB and then returning and going ‘uwu all those hateful angry gays were wrong!! le fou was so great!!’ like
1) even if, magically, le fou was a fantastic character and fantastic rep, it doesn’t change the fact that people ABSOLUTELY can be wary of Disney fucking up yet another thing
and 2) le fou’s gayness was a joke when it was explicit, but he still wasn’t allowed to be truly gay - I went with my straight family and they all missed EVERYTHING. he dances with a transmisogynistic joke guy at the end of the movie for like four seconds - ACCIDENTALLY - his affection/care for gaston is a joke when gaston isn’t manipulating him with it, and the funny gay sidekick desperately in love with a mean straight guy isn’t… good rep at all
finally 3) gay actors being in the movie means shit if they’re playing straights, especially when the gay character is a joke and there’s an awful transmisogynistic joke
