We Are Here (2017)

In the community, there’s a lack of representation of Caribbean people and I wanted to create a series of photos that people who are of Caribbean descent could relate to and perhaps see themselves in.

There are so many harmful stigmas attached to being queer and/or trans and Caribbean, which is why representation is so, so important. I want (Caribbean) people to know there are many of us, and we are plentiful. We are here, and we always will be.
