Hello Moonlings! After a looong wait, here comes the second jar of my Hogwarts series! As a reminder, there will be one jar for each house, to help you develop traits associated with it. Today I am sharing Ravenclaw’s one!
Here is what you’ll need:
lavender for clarity and psychic powers
peppermint for mental strength
lemon balm for foresight
sage for wisdom
nut powder for intelligence
parsley to reveal the truth
amethyst for intuition and enhance psychic abilities and visions
Charm bag version: use dark blue or purple fabric and silver or black ribbon
How to proceed:
Take the time to light a candle, meditate if you wish to, and focus on your intent (perceiving the truth, gaining wisdom and growing your mental powers ). Visualize it clearly and with as many details as possible. You can visualize energy growing within yourself, symbolizing your power and mind awakening.
Add all the ingredients in layers, finishing with the amethyst. With each ingredient, repeat your wish.
Finally, add the lid to your bottle. Seal it with wax if you want. One last time, charge the bottle with your intent, like an external layer of energy.
Let the jar charge under the Moonlight.
Carry the jar with you to always perceive the truth and use your wisdom when decisions are taken!
These exercises can be done in two ways. You can either pick one paper up and try to guess what is on the paper, or you can think of a paper and try to find it in the pieces of paper. If you feel you need more pieces of paper by all means add more. If you work with deities, your higher self, spirits of any sorts, please feel free to invite them to help you with these exercises, if you’d like.
The number exercise: cut four, same sized pieces of paper with the numbers 1-4 written on them. Turn them downwards and mix them up. Pick one up and try to guess which number it is.
The shape exercise: cut four, same sized pieces of paper, and draw a star, a heart, a circle and a cube on them. Turn them downwards and mix them up. Pick one up and try to guess which shape it is.
The color exercise: cut four, same size pieces of paper, and add a different color to all of them. Turn them downwards and mix them up. Try to guess which paper has which color on them.
The quiz exercise: find a quiz online that you know nothing about - this may be a science quiz, a pop culture quiz, a quiz about a band, or the Viking history quiz. Take the quiz and try to guess the answers.
The object exercise: Get a older object, works best if it’s given by a friend do you and examine it. Try to pick up the objects energies and try to see/hear/smell the person that the object is tied to. It’s best done with a friend because they will most likely know some information about the person and they can tell if you’re right or wrong.
The card exercise: Pick one card up from a deck and try to see the color, the shape and the number of that card. You can also do this with tarot cards, try to feel the cards energies.
Divination: it’s a great exercise for enhancing your psychic abilities and the range of tools you can do divination with is enormous. So, find the one that calls to you and start divining.
In my experience these are the main exercises which you can sit and work on but they’re not the only ones. Intuition can be worked on throughout the day even in the most mundane tasks:
Try to guess who texted you or is calling you before you pick up the phone.
If other people cook for you, try to guess what you’re having for lunch before seeing it.
Try to pick up what your friend is going to tell you before they do.
Try to guess when the light is going to turn green at a traffic light.
Think of a person, and try seeing what they’re doing at the moment. After you’re done, ask them whatsup.
When talking to a friend on the phone try to see what they’re wearing, what their hair is like, and/or what they’re doing and ask them.
When you get up try to sense what the weather is going to be like today.
When at the store and you’re waiting in line try to sense how much the person before you needs to pay.
Tell a friend to think of a number and try to guess that number.
When listening to music on shuffle, try to sense what the next song is going to be.
When people close to you talk on the phone try and sense who they’re talking to and ask them afterwards. (only if they’re comfortable with it, not all people would like their privacy invaded, my friends and family know why I’m doing that so they’re cool with it)
Try to sense what a close friends text is saying before you open it, or try to sense why they’re calling you.
These are all I can think of a t the moment, hopefully in the future I’m going to add more. Basically anytime, anywhere when you have some space left to guess what’s going to happen, do it.
MEDITATION: I can’t stress how important meditation is, especially to witches, mages, shamans, and all occult practitioners in general. I know it sounds boring when people tell you to meditate but we all need some time to relax and clear our heads. And in the moments of blissful relaxation we let out soul speak to us the most thus coming into our strongest potential where we can energetically change our DNA and rewire our brains. In the moment of deep relaxation you can focus on cleansing your pineal gland / increasing your intuition.
I like to imagine purple/indigo color and lavender flowers coming out of my pineal gland spreading and covering my whole body and aura. I also like to imagine roots stretching from my pineal gland bursting through my forehead opening an eye in the centre of it. I like to massage the centre of my forehead, and I like taping an amethyst to it lol.
There are lots of guided meditations on youtube, which are extremely helpful, and there are lots of binaural beats and isochronic tones, which are also very helpful. Just find your comfort zone to working on the pineal gland and focus on it. Don’t feel bad if per say, isochronic tones don’t work for you but storm sounds do work. Find your comfort zone and work within it.
Also you might want to check out Sun Gazing, which is a very powerful exercise you’re going to need to dedicate yourself to.
Pineal gland detoxification:
Avoid ingesting fluoride - I know this is hard, seeing at the people on top put fluoride in literally everything knowing what it’s doing to our brains. But there are alternatives, the internet is a huge place and you can find almost everything there. Avoid fluoridated water, fluoridated toothpaste, GMO fruits and vegetables, soda, all artificial foods and drinks. Try to eat healthy and organically and if possible reduce eating meat - and cutting it off completely.
Avoid sleeping with technology in your room if possible - this means wireless routers, mobile phones, computers etc. The pineal gland is suppressed by electro magnetic fields.
Avoid or if you can, completely cut off all sugar, caffeine, tobacco, alcohol and drugs.
Once you’ve detoxified your body and pineal gland it’s time to start working on activating and boosting your pineal gland:
Spend time in sunlight every day - or as much as you can. Practice sungazing as well, and it is best done when the sun has risen or in the moments it’s going away because the sun is the weakest then and it can’t harm your eyes and it won’t bother you.
Oils and incense -
Sleep and meditate in complete darkness.
Commit to meditation every day.
Dedicate rituals to your third eye - whether it be a bath ritual, once in a full moon ritual, a day of the week ritual, or whenever you feel like it ritual, do it.
Practice yoga, especially Yoga Nidra as it is the most powerful yogic practice to increase the blood flow to your pineal gland.
Eat food that boosts the pineal gland - raw cocoa, coconut oil, lemon - the body’s best friend, basically the master of detox, garlic, raw apple cider vinegar, goji berries, watermelon, honey, hemp seeds, iodine, vitamin K1/K2, boron, bananas, alkaine food, chlorophyll rich foods, oregano oil, sea moss, walnuts, turmeric and melatonin.
Crystals that stimulate the pineal gland - amethyst, lapis lazuli, clear quartz, moonstone, sodalite. You can meditate with these crystals on your forehead daily, you can tape a crystal on your forehead and stay like that for a while, or you can massage your forehead with it.
Chant - there are a lot of chants to boost your pineal gland, you can google some, I’ve found that OM works best for me.
Plants that enhance intuition - ginger, gotu kola, ginkgo, skullcap, elder leaf, berries and flower, fennel, lavender, lemongrass, saffron, bay leaves, rosemary, honey suckle, anise, eyebright, lotus, mimosa, sandalwood, burning acacia, cinnamon, buchu leaves, celery, lilac, mint, mugwort, solomons leaf, frankincense, jasmine, lemon, peppermint, rose, sage, vanilla and star anise.
Oils - bay laurel, carrot seed, galbanum, german chamomile, grapefruit, myrrh, nutmeg, palo santo, petitgrain, roman chamomile, sandalwood, st. john’s wort, angelica root, eleni, juniper, frankincense, rosemary and patchouli.
And most important of all - trust your gut! The problem with not listening to our intuition is when our rational, logical mind interferes and tries to come up with logical solutions as to why your intuition is wrong. Whenever you get that gut feeling, just go with it, don’t question it. Also always remember to protect yourself when working on your pineal gland, seeing as we are more open and vulnerable to psychic attacks during these moments.
Lemon Sage Honey!
Great for sore throats, coughs, and colds.
Honey is my go to for medicine. It’s sweet, it’s wholesome, and it’s so beneficial!
Lemon and sage are a great combo to add to make it tasty and healthy and help you fight the nasties!
1/2c lemon juice
2 tsp fresh sage or 4 tsp dried
Bring to a simmer.
Put a lid on it!
Take off heat and let sit 10min.
Label and date!
Store in fridge up to a month or so.

I am having a wonderful time figuring out how to repurpose things in my house! This framed chicken wire was a christmas gift from my sister two years ago. It was meant to hang pictures on (which I did for awhile) however I took them off, meaning to change them for new ones, but then for the past year it has hung empty of anything. How sad!
But now look how useful it has become! I recently purchased some plants that I plan to dry and make witchy tub tea with. It was a perfect tool to allow me to hang them to dry. Here are a few tips when drying herbs:
Only tie together 5-6 stems in order to allow good air circulation. Could take 1-3 weeks to fully dry (depending on humidity) Larger leaves should be brittle before you take them down. But keep them in big pieces to retain as much of their scent as possible. Only store in paper bags or glass jars. Do not store in plastic bags as it can lead to condensation. For the larger leaves, only crumble when you are ready to use them, to release their essence.
🌱1/3 Cup of Sugar 🌱1 Cup of All-purpose flour 🌱2 teaspoons of fresh herb of choice- can also substitute with dried herbs just do 1 teaspoon or to taste (pictured here is rosemary) 🌱1 stick of salted butter (cold and cut into little chunks)
Briefly pulse everything in a food processor until combined but still crumbly. Butter can still be a bit chunky. If you don’t have a food processor you can use forks or other utensils. Avoid using your hands because you don’t want to melt the butter.
Press crumbly mixture in a 9-inch round pie or cake pan. It will appear thin but it’ll rise. If you want it thicker, use an 8inch pan or only cover ¾ of the pan.
Bake at *325 F for 30 minutes or until a tiny bit golden on the eyes. Cool a few minutes before cutting.
I use this recipe when I want to add a little herbal magic to my life. Very simple and very tasty. Try adding lemon zest, rose, lavender, sage, cinnamon, or whatever herbs your find tasty. Can also be made as an herb free treat.
Summary: You and Tom say “I love you” for the first time.
Tom had known he loved you for a little while. It had really solidified for him several weeks earlier, a week after he’d met your parents. He’d had a rough work week in LA, and had planned to visit you for the weekend, but wasn’t sure he was up to it come Friday morning.
So with a bit of reluctance, Tom flew out as planned and found himself knocking on your apartment door, excited to see you, but tired and grumpy all the same.
When you opened the door, you gave him a sympathetic smile and pulled him into a tight hug.
“I’m glad you’re here,” you said, pressing a kiss just below his ear.
He dropped his bag in the living room and returned with you to the kitchen, where several pots and pans were resting on the stovetop. Spoons, measuring cups, and spices were scattered across the counter next to a printed recipe.
“What are you making?” he asked, resting his chin on your shoulder as you stirred.
“That thing your mom always makes, that you made me when I was sick last month? I thought it’d be nice to come back to.”
He quirked a smile at that, genuinely taken aback by your thoughtfulness, and lifted his head to press a kiss to your temple. “I’m gonna go change,” he said, grabbing his bag and taking it to your bedroom.
He came back a minute later shirtless and in gray sweatpants, stretching out on your couch. “Mmm, I forgot how comfy your couch is,” he called over his shoulder to where you were in the kitchen.
You quickly wiped your hands on a dish towel before strolling into the living room and plopping down next to him. You snuggled into his side as he lazily scrolled through his Instagram feed with squinty tired eyes. After a few minutes you spoke. “So…you had a really long week?”
He sighed, dropping his phone on the coffee table and wrapping his arm around you. “Yeah. Lots of paps. Everywhere, all the time. And then my manager’s been calling me nonstop about a new deal we’re negotiating. I didn’t really get any sleep. I just feel drained.”
“I’m sorry, baby. Hopefully you’ll catch up on some sleep this weekend.”
He nodded his head, running his fingers up and down your back. “How has your week been?”
“Eh, y’know-”, you were about to respond when a loud alarm sounded from the kitchen. You sat up startled.
“Oh fuck!” you exclaimed, racing into your smoky kitchen to pull your burning lemon sage chicken out from the oven.
Tom came running in behind you, assessing the situation, before grabbing your discarded dish towel to fan the smoke away from the alarm. You threw the burnt chicken on top of the counter, shutting the oven with a huff before grabbing another dish towel from the drawer to help Tom fan the smoke alarm.
Tom looked over to your frazzled state and frustrated expression. Your hair was sticking up in all different directions, you shirt was covered in splattered lemon sage sauce, and your cheeks were flushed red both from the heat and embarrassment. Tom couldn’t help but smile, and it dawned on him that he was crazy for even questioning whether he wanted to spend his weekend next to you.
“What’s so funny?” you questioned when you noticed Tom staring at you, giggling, and cracking his first real smile that night.
“Nothing, I just.. I -”
I love you, he thought to himself.
He’d kept it to himself that night. He hadn’t wanted to scare you off, or ruin what you guys had. But as time went on, he found himself thinking it more and more often, and getting closer to letting it slip out.
A few weeks passed and another weekend scheduled for you to visit Tom on his press tour rolled around. It was late and the two of you were fooling around in his hotel room.
You were straddling Tom on his bed, and he was extra eager, as it’d been a couple weeks since you’d been together. He roughly pulled your shirt over your head before reattaching his lips to yours. He reached around your back to unclip your bra, but got thrown off by your new clasp-less lacy bralette. Frustrated, he tugged too hard and ripped it down the back.
“Tom!” you laughed, pulling away from him in surprise.
His jaw dropped a little. “I swear I didn’t mean to do that. I’ll get you a new one, I promise. I am so sorry.” He chuckled at the stunned look on your face, making you laugh harder.
“It’s okay,” you giggled. “I still love you.” You paused for a second, realizing what you’d just said, and quickly pressed your lips back to his in a panic thinking, Dear god I hope he somehow didn’t just hear that.
He gripped your waist but pulled his mouth away from yours, certain he’d heard the words he’d craved for weeks. “What’d you just say?”
“Nothing,” you said, moving his hands up to your breasts in an effort to distract him and leaning in to kiss him again.
After briefly allowing your lips to press to his, he pulled away again, flipping you over and pinning your hands down on either side of your head.
“Tell me again,” he said with a smile.
“Hmm?” You scrunched your forehead still trying to deny what you’d confessed.
“Tell me again,” he teased, kissing your jaw, “that you love me.”
“Did I say that?” you teased back, wiggling your body in attempt to break free from his grasp.
“Mhmm,” he smiled into your neck before pulling back to look at you and releasing your wrists.
You sighed in defeat, wrapping your arms around his neck. “I guess I did….because I do. I love you.”
He grazed his upturned lips against yours. “Good. Because I love you too.”
This bath feels and smells like a summer garden in the late evening; imagine crisp warm air, fireflies, and the scent of fresh, culinary herbs like rosemary and basil. The floral scent of lemon balm add a lightness to this fresh bath and combines beautifully with freshly tried thyme and gently exfoliating pink Himalayan salt, all wrapped up in a soothing blend of organic milk powder.
For a soothing and relaxing bath, add about 1 scoop of this mix to a full tub of hot water, or for a extra luxurious bathing ritual experience, add 4 to 6 large spoonfuls to your tub. Soak and feel your skin be soothed and cleansed by milk powder proteins and calming herbs.
I came up with this spell jar because I had an offering and I wasn’t sure what to do with the leftovers but hey, they still have strong magick in them since they were an offering so might as well put it to good use!
You will need: -dried orange rind- to represent the sun and lift your spirits -ginger - for passion and added power to your spell -dried dandelion - for wishes -lemon thyme - for courage -sage - for protection and luck -allspice - for courage -ground clove - for prosperity
Layer these ingredients in a jar. Light a red candle and while the candle is burning imagine your intention of courage and strength. Seal the jar with the red wax for courage.
Just mixed my coconut oil with rose, lemon, clary sage and eucalyptus oils for my hair after I wash it tonight. Going to charge it on my Love deities’ altar now and ask for blessings of love coming my way!

Went on an unsuccessful chocolate mint plant hunt today, but didn’t return home empty handed. Got two new herbs (see top photo). The one on the left is Moroccan mint and the other is lemon thyme (which smelt so good I couldn’t not buy it).
The seeds are some lil white sage seedies and some seeds from last years flowers - was just about to pull the dead flowers from last year out of their awesome purple hanging baskets, because they were looking a bit sad and I thought I could plant something else in the baskets, but then I found that all the dead flower heads each contained a lil seed pod! So I’ve planted them again, they were purple flowers that hung over the sides.
Also planted some red onions on my allotment, I much prefer them to white because I think that they are sweeter and nicer. Then picked calendula petals, maybe gonna make an oil infusion, and picked some more calendula seeds. Already planted a bunch of calendula seeds today in little pots to give as presents to friends when they are established.
