Tutoring/Studying for exams with the RFA + Saeran

No one prompted me to write this but my exams are tomorrow so arghblargh YOLO

  • Zen

- Exams are two days away oh no

- He sees you studying so hectically and goes over like

- “Babe? You okay?”

- “No, Zen, I am not I have exams in two days and I might fail.”

- You honestly felt like crying

- Zen sings you a sweet little song to calm your nerves

- Of course you calm down that boy has a freaking honeysweet voice

- He volunteers to tutor you

- But he’s forgotten quite a few of the lessons and ended up getting a few lectures from you

- Dude ain’t dumb though

- Zen learns really quickly and helps you learn things over without stressing too much.

- He notices your eyes drooping and insists that you sleep

- You absolutely refuse

- To which he sings a lullaby to make you fall asleep

- “Zen, I’m not sleepy yet I need to finish this chapter - Zen - dammit - “

- Of course you end up snoring

- You’re kind of mad at him the next morning

- But at least he made breakfast

- And flashcards

- This time he’s the one sound asleep on the couch

- You cover him with a blanket before quickly leaving, feeling a bit more confident thanks to Zen’s late night tutoring, plus flashcards.

  • Yoosung

- The poor boy is just as stressed as you

- Maybe even more

- “MC I’m failing three classes.” “wHat.”

- No actually it’s four

- Thank god you’re failing only two

- But those are still very very bad things

- So you two start studying a week before the exam

- At least you did

- Yoosung that goddamn kid got distracted and left you for a LOLOL tournament

- “Yoosung get back here.” “Just one more game, MC, it’s really important-”

- You drag his sorry ass away from the computer and back to the books

- Now he’s pouting like a puppy.

- it’s not working it’s not working it’s nOT WORKING AT ALL

- You thank every deity that you somehow managed to resist Yoosung and kept on studying

- He did the same thing however on the next day

-And the next

- And the next

- By exam day you two are pretty sleep-deprived and cranky, especially you

- You aced the tests though

- You decided to reward yourselves with some LOLOL but you fell asleep as soon as you got home

- Yoosung managed to play a few rounds

- But he soon signed off and snoozed off beside you.

  • Jaehee

- This wonderful lady dropped everything as soon as you said you needed some tutoring

- Insists that she tutor you on everything

- Everything

-  “Oh no, Jaehee, you don’t have to - “

- Nope not taking no for an answer, she wants the best for you

- She’s whipped out the coffee and flashcards and notes

- Even downloaded some PowerPoint presentations

- At this point you’re pretty embarrassed

- But you got no choice but to listen to her

- Ho can you not listen her voice is as gentle as a freaking angel’s

- And wow she’s so good at explaining things

- Like wow you finally get the stuff you never could understand??

- Math. Especially math.

- Jaehee is an angel sent from the Lord.

- Once she notices you’re tired and sleepy she tells you to go sleep and rest

- You do, of course

- And feel a whole lot more refreshed and motivated than ever the next morning

- Jaehee made you breakfast

- And shorthanded notes and flashcards

- Plus some memorization cheats and such

- Jeez, Jaehee should start her own tutorial classes or something

- When exam day came you aced the test

- Jaehee Kang’s doing, ladies and gentlemen

  • Jumin

- Tutoring? Say no more

- Only the best tutors for MC asap pls

- “Jumin no it’s perfectly fine.”

- Daddy isn’t taking no for an answer though

- You get a tutor anyways

- They’re pretty strict but at least you get what they mean

- Also Jumin’s visits make up for it

- “How’s she doing?”

- “Pretty good, Mr. Han, we’re progressing marvelously.” it’s true?

- Exam day has arrived

- With all your stocked knowledge and a good luck rub from Elizabeth III, you went off to school

- Students are shocked teachers are shook you are shook

- You aced them all

- Except for one, one

- You got the answers right, jut put them in the wrong places

- You’re literally banging your head how could you be so stupid

- You go home with disappointment on your face and break the news to Jumin

- As if it’s the worst thing you’ve ever done it’s not

- You’re such a disappointment you’re not

- Jumin folds his arms and frowns

- You really think he’s gonna lecture you

- But nO

- “Get dressed. We’re going out for dinner tonight.”

- Holy schizzles this guy just took you out for dinner

- Despite your exam scores

- “It was just one exam, MC.”

- You can’t argue any further

- You go home and of course after dinner comes dessert wink wonk

  • Saeyoung

- Okay, he volunteered

- But the little shit keeps on making fun of you

- Well sorry for not being a goddamn genius like you

- A kiss as a punishment every wrong answer tho

- You’re almost tempted to keep on answering wrong

- But since you want to pass you study as seriously as you can

- But he keeps on making you laugh and cry

- This boy keeps on using memes as examples

- And his babies cars

- “So if Pepe were to drive my red baby car - “ “Oh my god sEVEN NOT pEPE AGAIN-”

- And oh my god even poor Vanderwood

- Somehow you learn stuff quickly

- The intake of HBC and Dr. Pepper during study sessions is enormous

- He prays for you ofc

- But is it even a serious one

- “Lord, creator of the universe, I pray for the safety of MC’s brain, for the sharpness of her pencils-”

- You threw an empty can at him and continued studying

- double dab

- “Told you you would pass.

- HBC and Dr. Pepper videogame party yeeeah boiii

  • V

- Another angel hallelujah

- Since he’s mostly blind, he can’t really teach you much

- But he does everything to make sure you’re comfortable and can concentrate on your studies

His past photos also help you relax a bit

- It’s midnight “MC you should sleep.”

- “No, I’m fine, V.” You say with droopy eyes of course you’d refuse

- So he brings you hot cocoa instead

- Brings you a pillow as well so you won’t strain your back too much

- “Do you need anything else MC?”

- So wonderfully attentive

- Little did you know he snapped a couple of photos of you despite barely seeing anything

- Exam day happened you mostly passed woohoo

- You two have this sort of board where you stick up things

- So he sticks up your studying photo up there with a little trophy sticker

- He is so sweet

  • Saeran

- He didn’t want to teach you at first but Seven volunteered to do it instead, so Saeran grabbed you and plunked you down in front of your textbooks

- cue sparkly thumbs up signal between you and Seven

- This kid is a goddamn genius like his bro-bro

- He’s less kind and gentle, and you have a little trouble keeping up

- Saeran notices and suddenly leaves

- Oh shit did you do something wrong

- He returns five minutes later with two bowls of ice cream

- Break time

- Stressed about exams? Eat ice cream

- Ice cream is the answer to everything

- You don’t know if this breaktime is for you or Saeran bc he seems to be enjoying it more than you

- Studying continues, and now he’s using ice cream as examples

- You jokingly do the same

- “Sae if you have four bowls of ice cream and someone tries to get one, how many bowls of ice cream will you have left?” “Four and a dead body.”

- 0.0 Let’s just continue studying

- Exam day arrives

- Oh shit what was that oh right the ice cream

- You somehow remember things because of ice cream

- Long story short you passed mostly

- You bought Saeran three boxes of ice cream as a thank you

- He didn’t tackle you into a hug but awmaygawsh the look on his face

- Ice cream night? Ice cream night.

“It was unbearable. Two crazy weeks and the most unbelievable story I ever did. I was with a Russian special commando. They were torturing, killing and raping. I saw them do it, and I couldn’t stop them. Someone of a normal constitution can’t accept that. I was working on the edge.

This is the morning after a night that left four men dead and 10 wounded. It was heavy fighting, and I was very afraid. I discovered a dead Chechen four metres from me when I got up in the night. You see movies, you read books, you can imagine anything. But when you are in front of something, it’s not like the movies. We started out as 60 and came back 30 – one in two people injured or killed. I was lucky.

As soon as it was light, I took pictures. This is the first thing I saw. The guy with the bandage on his head has lost his friends. He has fought all night long. I don’t feel pity, but at the same time they took me with them and did everything to protect me. Without them, I couldn’t have done the story. I was the only witness. It’s very complicated.”

just a fun headcanon of mine that turned into over 1,800 words of angst. tw for homophobia (buuut not really) and misunderstandings!  Oh and talk of a panic attack, Jack’s overdose, bullying…and excessive jumping between past and present tense.  I haven’t written in 3 years, okay.

headcanon: in most fics, Coach is okay with Bitty being gay and is excited that Jack is his boyfriend.  But what if he disapproves of Jack, and Bitty mistakes it for homophobia?

Request: The Courageous Trio

Request:  (The biggest plus to me doing that masterlist is I know you haven’t done anything like this so I am super duper pumped. Its kind a broad because I trust your creative brilliance Louisa <3) Teenage Winchesters, our two beloved brothers, and their (reader) little sister are in the school when a school shooting happens.

Word Count: 1,612

Oh, gosh, I hope I did this some level of justice. I’ll be honest, I don’t know massive amounts about school shooting protocol (I come from a tiny town in the UK where the worst gun crime is a seven-year-old shooting a pensioner with Nerf bullets) so I’m sorry if this is completely off track! All my love; have an awesome day!<33

Another school, another awkward three weeks of pretending to fit in with one clique or another. It’s always just uniform for you at this point, and, similar to Dean, you’ve come to accept it.

You’re stuck in the middle of a dreary History lesson – the teacher, a middle-aged man with roaming eyes and little consideration for political correctness, has repeated the outline of the Corn Laws about a dozen times already. You’re sat with one of your ‘friends’, playing a game of hangman in your book, at the back of the class. You’re just about to get hanged when a shrill alarm rings out through the classroom. The room freezes and falls into silence, waiting until the robotic voice calls out over the tannoy to inform you all of the threat.

Shooter active – repeat, shooter active. Entering lockdown. Enter lockdown strategy.

“What the hell is lockdown strategy?” Calls a voice from the front, and you try to ignore the icy voice spreading through your veins as people begin to panic. This school is in a pretty nice area, gun crime is down and social niceties are in.

“I’m going to barricade us in,” The man at the front says calmly, although his face is pale and fingers shaking, “And you’re going to sit safely under the desks.”

“No way!” Comes the first protest quickly followed by, “We’re sitting ducks!”

Multiple protests echo throughout the classroom while you begin quickly forming plans in your mind. You watch as chaos quickly unfolds, but stay stone-still yourself with only one thought in your mind.

Gotta find Sam and Dean.

Dean is a senior, so he’ll be somewhere in the upper black where the seniors get most of their lessons. Sam, on the other hand, could be anywhere.

You quietly reach into your bag and pull out the pocket knife you keep concealed in there. While the teacher tries to rein in the riot, you slip out of the ajar door and into the corridor. You take off, making a quick decision to go for Dean first. He’ll know what to do; he always does. You clutch the knife in your hands and keep a close radar for hiding spots.

It’s a lucky thing you do as after a few moments, you hear footsteps down the corridor behind you. You dive into an open storage closet and conceal yourself behind boxes of cleaning product. You watch from between a crack in the stacks as the figure walks past, thankfully not sparing you a second glance – a man, you notice, face concealed by a black balaclava. He carries a scary looking gun that not even you’ve ever seen before. You hold your breath as the footsteps head out of the building.

You take off running again, heading through the corridors and aiming for the rooms you know Dean will be-

You collide with something solid, just barely giving way beneath your weight. You’re about to scream but a hand clamps over your mouth and you’re about to stab whoever it is, when-

“Y/N, Y/N, hey!” Dean hisses, “What the hell are you doing?”

“I came to find you.” You whisper, “We need to get Sam.”

“I know,” He agrees, “He’s in math, c’mon. Stay behind me.”

Tucked in the back of Dean’s jeans is a handgun, but he doesn’t have it out for fear of being mistaken for the real gunman. You’ve taken all of three steps when you hear three gunshots and a scream, causing you to freeze. Dean gives you a tug and a reassuring smile.

“We’ll be fine, Y/N. I won’t let anything happen to you.” He promises, and you nod. The two of you head towards the math classrooms and, on the way, meet up with Sam. Once you’re together, you dip into another closet and begin to form a plan.

“We need to help people,” You insist, “It shouldn’t be hard – three of us against one of him.”

Dean frowns, instincts telling him to get the three of you out of there and screw the rest. However, a voice over the tannoy causes all of you to freeze in place.

“Well, hello, staff and students!” It calls jovially, turning your stomach, “Just checking in to let you know that I’ve sealed off all exits, so there’s no escape. You’re all going to die today – just so you know. Don’t be fighting back, now, unless you want three rounds in your gut!”

He cuts off with a psychotic laugh and you chew on your lower lip, looking between your older brothers.

“We need a plan,” Sam decides as another gunshot sounds followed by three more. You all wince in sync and Dean finally nods, agreeing with you both.

“Y/N, will you be able to fit into a vent system?” He asks and you nod, looking up at the grate in the wall.

“Of course.”

“You hit the vents and figure out his route. Report back to us and we’ll go in and take him out, deal?”

“Sure thing.” You nod. Dean pulls the cover off of the vent and boosts you up – with a promise to stay safe, you scoot through and into the system.

You quickly find the offender, taunting a class of juniors with their impending doom. The teacher lie on the floor, bleeding heavily, and you grimace.

You’d be able to take him out right here – but Dean would never forgive you. When the man looks up, you retreat quickly and make your way back to your brothers.

“He’s in the English department,” You report, “If we’re quick, we can get him.”

Your brothers exchange a look and nod – you all come to a silent agreement and take off running towards the English department. Once you reach the too-bright wall displays and dictionary-lined shelves, your footsteps come to an almost silent pace and you follow Dean, peering into each classroom as you go. When you do find the man with the gun, you all wait outside – you and Sam on one side, and Dean on the other.

He’ll have to come out sooner or later, and the element of surprise is your best bet.

Sirens echo in your mind again and again as someone tucks a blanket around your shoulders and ushers you towards an ambulance. You try, again and again, to assure them that you’re not injured and that you just have to find your brothers – who are nowhere in sight, worrying you more than the flashing blue lights – and leave. Paramedics and police officers swarm you and ask questions and shove reassurances at you, but everything feels muffled. The first thing you really hear is someone calling out your name.

“Y/N?!” Dean yells, searching through the throngs of people, trying to find your face. You hear his call and rise to your feet, shrugging off the blanket. You ignore the calls of the adults behind you and race to your brother, barrelling into him and embracing his midsection tightly.

“Hey, woah,” He grins, hugging you back, “It’s okay. We’re okay. But we need to get out of here now, okay?”

You nod and let him lead you away as he explains your quick escape.

“We need to go before the TV crews get here or the cops figure out we don’t have a guardian coming to pick us up – they’ll start asking questions and-“

“We really don’t want social services involved. Got it. Where’s Sam?”

“In the car. He got to me before I came to find you – c’mon!” He grabs your hand and leads you through the throng of people. You get into the car and Dean drives back to the motel – you lock the door and barricade yourselves safely inside, before getting to work finding snacks to get over your day.

You haven’t been in the room for five minutes when your cellphone rings and you jump a mile – you’re more shaken than you thought. You answer, finding your dad on the other end of the phone.

“Y/N, turn to Channel 4 News.” He instructs. You turn on the TV and do so, finding it plastered with images of your school.

“Oh.” You murmur, watching as the report details your adventure.

The gunman is believed to have entered through the roof and made his way through the school, wreaking havoc. Two people have been left dead and four injured, but we’re lead to believe that the casualty toll would be much higher were it not for three courageous teens.

New to the school, the trio reportedly surprised the attacker outside a classroom and ambushed him. He is now in hospital, being treated for a serious concussion and mild amnesia. The students’ identities are unknown as of this moment, but we can understand that they are unaccounted for and have not been seen since fleeing the scene, moments after leaving the school.

More on that in the next hour. Right now, onto-

“I can explain,” You say insistently, “Dad, we-“

“Y/N, I’m not angry. I’ll be home tomorrow – until then, do not leave that room, you hear me?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Good. I’ll see you three soon, alright?”

“Okay.” You whisper, rather shellshocked. You end the call and the three of you sit in silence for a few moments.

“Sam?” Dean asks after a moment. The middle Winchester looks up at his brother with a quirked eyebrow.

“You still got those tapes from the charity drive last year?”

“Movie marathon?” He suggests and you grin, nodding in agreement.

The three of you pull out the tapes, grab some snacks, and settle down to relax for the evening – God knows you damn well deserve it.

New York Times: No al-Qaida link to Benghazi raid

A months-long investigation by The New York Times found no evidence that al-Qaida or other international terrorist groups had any role in the attack on the US diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya.

The attack left four Americans dead, including US Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
