leekeworld art body

Since I love Komugi so much I wanted to show you guys what I’ve been working on for the past year! She is a DIM Laia head on a Leekeworld art body, and she is such a sweetheart I love her so much~~

I just got her clothes done the other day and I just love how she is turning out! I might get a better wig sometime for her piggy tails. I want to also get her some shoes and a few cute outfits in the future~

So I am dying a Leekeworld Art body doll. She was originally rose white.

I want her to be pitch black.

I used liquid Rit and not much happened. Then I used powdered Rit and… Now she is a sickly grey.

Are there any other dye recommendations I can use?

Welcome Agnes!

She arrived this morning, no Leekeworld box (boo!) but wrapped very safely. I registered her certificate on the Leekeworld website and they promoted me to Dolleke!?!

She is gorgeous! The art body is divine; she’s sooo chubby in the thighs it’s crazy!! And the Leekeworld wig ( LR-030_D in whisper blue) is the best synthetic wig I’ve ever seen up close. Well worth it. The eyes are also Leekeworld; I’m not sure about them as they have a gradient and make her look like she’s looking up… But they are nice. I shall wait for a bit and see.

Today she gets some tights. She’s borrowing Bretta’s sweater for now. I’ll make some new clothes over the weekend. I’ll be at mothers, so I’ll make sure to take tons of photos so not all my bjd pics have the same wooden chair background!

I finally finished the skirt! (except for fastenings, but I’m still undecided on whether to add just a hook mechanism or to add a thin invisible panel inside the skirt and use snaps).

This is a project I started and almost finished two years ago. The skirt has just been lying around, lacking the last of the embroideries and the waist-band. I finally decided to finish it before going to bed last night. I’m not a very good embroiderer (though I probably have improved since making this), but I think it works. I might re-do the waistband, as I’m not 100% pleased with the shape, but here it’s hidden by the corset, so it looks all right.

The outfit still lacks the arms (it has detached, long swinging arms, like the sleeves of a furisode), bloomers (for underwear), boots and headwear, but all in due time.

It’s the traditional outfit of the Wah'Nari, a people in my fantasy world.

She also lacks the head, as it’s off for face-ups. I never was satisfied with the ones I gave her, so I finally gave up and shipped her off.

Also forgot to straighten her skirt before the picture, so it’s a bit crooked.
