anonymous asked:

hey omg so the ask u answered about the new fall out boy song. was that abt ghostbusters? bc i read the kerrang pete was in n it was kinda vauge but the jist of it i got was they wont be doing anything new musically until 2018

That article was so hard to understand for me? Like I know Pete is confusing sometimes but it should not have been that hard to say “we’re doing new things and you’ll hear it by 2018”
he kept hinting at the reading and leeds festival this year. He said when they perform at reading and leeds, their “skin-shed” will be mid-way. BUT before he said that, Pete said that they were at the “the tail-end of shedding our skin”. Like two or three times he hinted to keep an eye out at the R&L festival this year.
I also don’t think that they will be completely ghost until 2018, Pete said that fall out boy will continue to release music in “unconventional ways” until they release music in an album form sometime in 2018 I believe. Again, it’s really hard to decode what Pete is saying in this article.
He was kind of strangely asked about pax am days. Asked if that’s what the new fall out boy would sound like etc etc. when reading that part i thought, pax am days was released two/three years ago? Why bring it up now, considering it sounded like fob were heading in a more pop direction? Why include that in this interview? Honestly, I don’t think talking about pax am days really ~means~ something that big. I think it just means that fob are gonna release EP’s and stuff like that, you know? If I’m remembering right, they wanna work with ryan adams again.

So all I think that this all means is that FOB are gonna release music individually or on an EP until an album in 2018. Sorry for the long post lol!!!!

My family’s cat Tango disappeared from our garden in Garforth, Leeds (England) yesterday (19th of July.) He is a 10 year old male tom cat, neutered and a rescue cat who is relatively new to the area, so we are scared he is either lost or stranded because of an injury. We are in the middle of the a heatwave in the UK and therefore are even more worried that Tango might have gone without food and water for over a day in very high temperatures. Please signal boost this, as he is very important to our family and we want to see his safe return. He is microchipped so you can take him to the vet’s if you find him or contact rachel@morrisandson.co.uk if you have any information about Tango’s possible whereabouts (please for relevant information only! This is a work email!!)

Leeds, England, UK

A story about Leeds 2011 and a song called HOME.

So, Leeds happened.  The year was 2011 and two boys named Harry and Louis attended a music festival in Leeds.  Needless to say, good times were had by both and Harry wore his Leeds bracelet for ages until it likely fell apart (at which point he got the tattoo “I can’t change” in the same spot on his wrist and then much later, covered that with his anchor tattoo–almost as if the festival was really important to him for some reason).  I don’t want to rehash everything about Leeds when there’s already a great masterpost about it right HERE.

What I do want to do is talk about is the song Home by:  Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros

This band played at Leed’s that year and performed this song.  Here’s a tiny snippet of the lyrics:

Man, oh man, you’re my best friend
I scream it to the nothingness
There ain’t nothing that I need

Well, hot and heavy, pumpkin pie
Chocolate candy, Jesus Christ
Ain’t nothing please me more than you

Ah, home, let me go home
Home is wherever I’m with you

Ah, home, let me go home
Home is wherever I’m with you

And while some could argue that we don’t know if they even saw them perform, I respectfully disagree because a certain someone tweeted lyrics to this very song.

Not just once:

 But twice.

They both seem to have an attachment to the concept of HOME being a person and not a place which I find fascinating.

More under the cut.
