For all of your after-dark reading needs! It’s super bright because they’re LED bulbs and all you have to do is clip it onto the back cover :) and it’s has two heads, so you don’t need to keep adjusting for each page. It works wonders! and I would suggest this light to anyone whose looking for one!
Enter the Clothespin Clip Light, a clothespin re-imagined as a bright flashlight which will leave your hands free so you can to whatever it is you want to do. Made from beech wood, this flashlight uses a very bright LED light to illuminate your immediate surroundings.
I stopped by Chelsea Market in NYC recently. They had a huge indoor hydroponic system on display. Very cool indeed, but I was weirded out by the hot pink LED lights. I just found it so off putting, and it was bloody difficult to get a decent photo. As it turns out, there’s a method in this madness. Indoor gardening requires a lot of light. The energy required to power an indoor farm would significantly impact the environment and your wallet. Researchers discovered that red and blue wavelengths in the ROYGBIV spectrum is all that most plants really need to grow. Rather than using pure white light, growers use a cool and low energy red and blue LED lights (getting a mix of magenta), to efficiently cut down the bill.
I still think these “pinkhouses” as they call it are an eyesore, but the technology is fascinating.
