Pabbi Ithro + Baby Sport headcanons

*When Sport was born? Ithro cried

*When Sport took his first steps? Ithro cried

*When Sport’s first word was “Pabbi”?  C R I E D

*He gets so proud of watching his baby boy grow, you have no idea

*He’s 100% that dad who brags and shares EVERYTHING too

* Ithro: “My son just learned his abc’s! My son can do a whole somersault all by himself! My son can run now!  My son’s only three but he can already ride a bike without training wheels! My son grew two inches in the past month! My son just-”

Everyone: “We GET IT!”

*Sport was a REALLY hyper baby, btw. That goes without saying though

*He was tiny and he was FAST so Ithro actually ended up getting a lot of bumps and bruises from crawling under the coffee table and running around the house trying to catch him

*Honestly, baby-proofing the place was just as much for Ithro as it was for Sport

*Sport is a gifted gymnast like his dad, and by the time he was preschool age he could already do flips and walk around on his hands

*The amazing thing is even though Ithro did teach him a couple things, Sport actually learned how to do things like splits and somersaults and cartwheels and one-handed pushups himself just by watching his pabbi train every day

*Exercising was of course, a bonding thing for them. Ithro would do push-ups with Sport sitting on his back and he’d lift Sport a lot like his weights. He also totally had one of those things that Craig from Dream Daddy has where you run with your baby strapped to your chest

*Sport was a handful sometimes though, especially after he learned to walk

*Ithro didn’t want to, ….but he didn’t really have a choice but to put him on a baby leash when he was a toddler because they would go to the store or something and Sport would run around and touch e v e r y t h i n g

*Seriously like, Ithro would have his back turned for one second and then the next thing he knows his son is literally climbing on the grocery store shelves and displays. He’s on the top shelf OH MY GODS HE’S STANDING ON THE TOP SHELF

*So yeah Sport was a rambunctious baby

*Also, getting Sport to take his fish oil every day was almost impossible. He really hated it and would squirm and spit it out

*The only way he got him to take his fish oil was by mixing it with apple purée since apple is his favorite food

*It was disgusting. 10/10 Ithro gags every time. But, anything to get his weird son to take his goddamn fish oil

*Also, for some reason, baby Sport did not like clothes???

*Ithro had to be careful when inviting guests over because Ithro could be talking to someone and all the sudden a naked elf baby toddles into the living room with his pull-up on his head. He dresses him again and he just comes back naked ten minutes later

*There is absolutely photos of naked baby sport with his diaper on his head in the family photo album tho

*Ithro also taught Sport chess in an effort to get him to stay still for a longer period of time and also to improve his concentration. That’s why Sportacus thinks of chess as a sport to this day

*Ithro affectionally called Sportacus his little “kangaroo” and his “jumping bean”. Coincidentally, …some of the things Robbie also ended up calling him

*He called him  his little “bouncy ball” too

Random thoughts on Shirabe and her Gear

Shirabe never used yo-yo’s for any of her attacks during the entirety of Symphogear G. They first appeared in GX and have become a staple for her now.

A person does not just pick up a yo-yo and start pulling off the tricks shirabe is able to do with them during her transformation scenes.

Shirabe had to learn to do this, but why wouldn’t she use them previously if this was a skill she already had? The easiest answer is she learned how to do this between G and GX.

G and GX are split by about a half-year timespan. For the larger portion of this, Shirabe, Maria, and Kirika were all in containment after the events of the Frontier Incident up until at least a little bit after the space shuttle rescue. Shirabe probably didn’t not have enough time to learn how to yo-yo between being released and the start of GX’s main plot.

My headcanon is now that Shirabe was allowed to have a yo-yo while imprisoned and spent those boring months locked up learning how to do tricks with it.

LazyTown is such a strange show because, unlike any other show I’ve watched, it’s made me:

-attempt to learn how to do the splits (still in progress)
-actively seek out vegetables and fruits to substitute for less healthy snacks
-drink more water
-try to be more active regularly
-be slightly more self-forgiving when I do eat sweets or unhealthy food (just say I’m making Robbie proud or something)
-try writing on a regular basis (for this fandom alone, I’ve written a total of over 344,698 words worth of fanfics. So at least three Lord of the Rings books I’m sure)

Such a strange ride. Hope it never ends.

whew, i know i’ve been doing a lot of crazy stuff recently (*pokes @studyblrpoets*) but with finals coming up, i really want to be prepared and i thought it would be ever better if i made it one of those challenges (like 100 days of productivity and whatnot)!!

so, i bring to you, the second addition of #studyingwithacdemic, the one week of habits challenge!! i wanted it to be shorter and super simple so that it would be easier to commit to, and something you can obviously do more than once if you liked it the first time (:

- how does one week of habits work?

the idea is to start to develop a good study habit (or break a bad habit) in one week. i know, i know - the cliche is that “30 days forms a habit”. but in general, i’ve found that as long as i stick to something for a short period of time, i’ll prooobably keep going with it. doing things in short bursts seems easier than dedicating to something for, say, a year.

here are some habits you might want to make / break:

  • drink more water ( 8 cups a day minimum? )
  • get up to stretch / exercise more often
  • don’t procrastinate at all for a week
  • get at least 8 hours of sleep every day
  • start / keep a journal
  • go for a run every day
  • meditate every day / practice mindfulness
  • only spend a certain # of hours on a website / your phone / etc.
  • speak in a language you’re learning
  • read a book
  • write something

but remember, those are just examples, you can do anything you want. maybe you just want to remember to do 10 jumping jacks every day or something. maybe you want to learn to do this splits!! go for it!!

- keep us posted! ♡

this is a tumblr challenge, after all. we want to be here to support and encourage and motivate you!!!! every day you complete your habit, post a picture of your progress, or write an update – tag posts with #heyacdemic for me to queue it, or tag it with #1weekofhabits (:

- more habits stuff

aLRIGHTYY, thanks for reading!! i hope you’ll join me because i think this will be super fun and helpful. and it would be great if i wasn’t a habit-making/breaking loner :’)

Thank you for writing about unexpectedlyterrifying!Chowder. And I bet it goes the other way too. Rookies come in expecting to meet the FTG, the goalie who everyone knows is seriously intense. And yeah when he's interviewed it does't really seem to match his on ice persona, but everyone know that interviews are 3/4 bs and the on ice persona is the real one. But then they get there and he's gushing all over them (and there are mentions of pies? And frogs? Why?) and the new guys are just ??? What?

Okay THIS IS FROM SO LONG AGO and I apologize but at first I didn’t have any ideas to add BUT THEN I RE-READ IT AND:

[Part 1] [Part 2] (Note: FTG stands for Fucking Terrifying Goalie and is the nickname Chowder gets in the NHL when he plays for the Sharks because… he is a FTG.)

I have to think that this leads, eventually, to one of the biggest conspiracy theories the NHL has ever known.

It starts out as a joke on the internet somewhere, that there is no way that Chris Chowder and FTG can actually be the same person. Chris Chow is a lovable ball of sunshine and joy and FTG looks like he wants to murder anyone who even thinks of coming close to his net and it just doesn’t. make. sense.

So someone jokingly writes that Chris Chow and FTG must be different people and someone replies, saying something like “There’s more than one reason he wears a mask!” and more people pile on that FTG never takes his mask off, not even during breaks in periods and actually, he usually skates onto the ice with full goalie gear on, all ready to go and…

It starts as a joke and then turns into something more.

People start talking about how Chowder never actually seems that tired after post-game interviews. He is always pretty upbeat with the press, even if the Sharks lost. He is perfectly polite and has only nice things to say about everyone on the opposing team, even though mere moments ago, FTG had cursed out Dobson loudly enough that the first row of fans could hear it.

Most importantly, people note how Chowder sometimes has a great deal of difficulty remembering what actually happened during the game.

Ask Chris Chow to comment on the great save he had in the second period and he starts talking about how his teammates had some great shots and were able to convert some great opportunities.

Ask Chris Chow where he learned to do such crazy fast and ridiculous splits like he did in the third period and he avoids the question by mumbling nonsense about “Back when I was a frog, Ransom and Holster would chirp me every kegster until I could do them faster than Bitty could bake a pie. Plus it used to distract Nursey and Dex. And make the tadpoles feel less homesick.” Which must be some sort of code that no one can figure out.

Ask Chris Chow to comment on the fact that he actually broke his goalie stick over a man’s back (in a play that was declared legal because he was going for the puck) and he blinks and says, “Oh! Did they give me a new one? I thought it felt a bit different!”

It all points to one thing:

Chris Chow and FTG cannot be the same person.

Do you think Bucky Barnes has split personalities?

Okay, I’m not any sort of expert in the field of psychology, so jot that down right off the bat. But I look things up and research a lot, just to get general ideas.

Based on what I’ve read about dissociative identity disorder, which is what they now call split personality disorder, Bucky exhibits some of the same characteristics of DID, but the mechanism whereby he picked up those traits doesn’t strictly fit the clinical DSM9 definition of the disorder (or is it 10 now?).

Apparently there’s a lot of disagreement over how DID is defined, so there’s a lot of ambiguity about the diagnosis, so maybe Bucky might fit in as having DID, but I would be inclined to say he doesn’t have DID as it’s generally defined.

As I understand it, and experts out there, PLEASE jump in and correct me if I’m off base, people with DID are often victims of extreme abuse in childhood, not in adulthood. Bucky definitely suffered the trauma of abuse, but as an adult. Bucky also didn’t create an alter to shield himself from abuse, as some have posited happens in people suffering from DID. His “alter” was molded and forced upon him from the outside, from brainwashing and who knows what other methods, from drugs to electrical mind wiping to other types of torture.

He can be triggered to switch personalities, which is another aspect of DID, but his is more of a programmed, sort of post-hypnotic suggestion rather than a switch originating from within his own psyche or mind. It’s an external trigger and not something his mind developed on its own.

He suffers from partial amnesia, but that’s from mind wipes. His memories are returning, though, and in both the MCU and the comics, he definitely knows exactly what he did as the Winter Soldier. In the comics, he’s said that the trouble with being under mind control is that you’re still in there, being forced to watch. You know what your other side is doing, and as I understand DID, those people don’t know what their alters do.

So I don’t know… to my untrained eye, Bucky doesn’t have true DID because the causes are different. But he definitely has some similar traits and issues. I’d think that some portion his treatment might at least on some level echo treatments offered to those suffering from DID.

Advice on shoes for Mettaton Cosplayers

Break in your shoes before you plan to wear them to a convention/performance/meetup.

I use a pair of 4″stiletto  pumps with boot covers. This cosplay was my first time wearing such a thin, high heel, so I needed time to adjust.

Especially if you plan on posing, dancing, or just in generally looking extra fabulous, you need to practice with your heels!

To break them in, wear them around the house, for a few hours at a time, even if it’s basic things like watching TV.

Practice your poses and dance moves in your heels, too. I’m still learning to do splits in heels. Remember to stretch before doing anything dancing, especially moves like splits!

snowbellcreed  asked:

It wasn't snow's fault you see she had followed alex on this totally dangerous mission and during one part she had been captured. They were with hunter but separated since snow had gone with alex and now the dhampir had a bloody wound on the back of her head due to being knocked out and alex being takened.

“Dammit.“, Hunter cursed for the hundredth time. What do you learn in horror movies? Never split up. But no! They had to. A good idea, they said. Saves time, they said. Now, he was alone with the Dhampir Girl and Alex was nowhere to be found. Geat! Good way start the day!, Hunter thought as he swept Snow up to bring her to a safe place. It was useless to run off. So he decided to take step by step. He brought Snow to Alex´ home, laying her down on the sofa. He treated her wound and waited till she woke.

I want to learn gymnastics. I want to learn to do a handstand and do flips. I want to do the splits and a bridge. I want to be able to jump high and pull my leg back up so it touches my head. I want to be strong.
Now. How do I get there from where I am? 17 years old and 300 pounds, about to start my first semester of full time software engineering degree and a part time job?

Do you have any dva ones?

I cracks my fucking knuckles lets do this

-Hana picks up on languages like ridiculously easy. It’s insane. She’ll casually slip into other languages she’s picked up from her team mates while talking to them not even realizing it. Mercy calls to her to get into the medbay because NO YOU’RE NOT OK YOUR MECH CAUGHT ON FIRE and she’ll just yell down the hallway in rapid german. Everyone is speechless and learns not to underestimate her

-Hana can do that ear-splitting wolf whistle. She learned this from 76, who picked it up in his days as a commander and used it when he needed attention. After much trial and error, she finally gives in and asks Jack to teach her. She now can whistle even louder than Jack and uses this to her advantage

-Due to the hours she spends gaming, Hana develops carpel tunnel shockingly early. She wears a hand brace to keep her hand from hurting because it started to interfere with her livestreams

-d.va is dyslexic doesn’t really mention it often. It only becomes a problem when she tries to navigate her mech without someone to guide her

-this girl does not like holding grudges. She tries to be on the best of terms with each of her team mates and is truly upset when arguments happen. A team that can get along is a team with a sure chance of winning

- D.va is a really strong runner. She’s more of a sprinter than a long distance runner, but this girl can move

2014

“She didn’t even recognise me Steve… My one and only…” I choked on my own words as the tears threatened to spill over my eyelids. Sam tried to pat my shoulder, but was restricted by handcuffs. “How is that even possible? It was, like, 70 years ago.” Sam asked, grunting slightly as he tried to make himself comfortable on the metal bench. I stared ahead of me, a few tears slipping down my cheeks.

“Zola. Our whole unit was captured in ‘43. Zola experimented on us. Whatever he did helped Y/N survive the fall. They must have found her and…” My voice trailed off cracking slightly. “None of that’s your fault, Buck.” Steve whispered. That was the first thing he has said since we were arrested.

“But it was Steve… If I would have just reached out a little more, I could’ve saved her…” I glanced up and noticed Natasha’s face becoming paler as time went on. I glanced down at her shoulder and noticed red seeping from her jacket. “You’ve been shot.” I said, stating the obvious.

“So did you Buck.” Steve muttered. I looked down at my shoulder, and would you look at that! I completely forgot about that. “I heal quickly Steve, Natasha doesn’t. We need to get a doctor here. If we don’t put pressure on that wound, she’s gonna bleed out here in the truck.” I told the guards. In response one of them threatened me with an electric taser. The guard next to him looked over for a second before knocking him unconscious with the base of the gun, shocking us all. Said guard slowly lifted their helmet off, and underneath was a very breathless Maria Hill.

“That thing was squeezing my brain.” She muttered before turning her head towards Sam. “Who’s this guy?”

Y/N’s POV

I stared emotionlessly ahead of me. Trying to recall any memories of the men on the bridge. More specifically the brunette one. Something about those eyes mad something click inside of me. A sense of calm took over when they connected with mine. I small scientist worked on my arm, I was sat in a chair, which was placed in a small cell. My hair was back to its original state. I closed my eyes for a second and that’s when a scene played before me…

(1939)

“Okay Peg… Aim a little higher…” I repositioned a smaller girl’s hands, which were occupied with an old pistol. I looked over to see a row of cans lined on top of a hay bale. The younger girl shot again and hit a can off the hay bale. She cheered and hugged me. “I did it Y/N/N!” I chuckled and nodded,

“You did Peg you did…”

(1942)

“Tin cans?” The brunette queried. I nodded, “That’s how I taught my younger sister, sooo you should be good at it.” He laughed and brought his sniper up and closed one eye. He shot all cans off with ease. He looked over to me with a smug look on his face.

“That was pretty good Barnes.”

“Please, call me Bucky.”

(1943)

“You’ve got to tell him at some point Y/N/N…” Peggy said slyly. I was sat on my iron bed next to Peggy, fiddling with the edge of my uniform. “I will do… After the mission.” Peggy nodded and gave me a hug.

“I can’t believe I’m going to be an aunty…”

I shook my head a few times. What is happening to me? Images of me falling, creating a snowy bank, being dragged across the floor, missing arm, a man with round glasses talking to me. I was with child? What happened to the baby?

“You are to be the new fist of HYDRA.”

“Put her in ice.”

I lashed out. Knocking a scientist to the floor.  Sat up breathing heavily, all guns were trained onto me. I heard the cell door creak open, and the leader of HYDRA walked in.

“Mission report.” He demanded. My stance didn’t change, hunched over slightly and breathing heavily.

“Mission report. Now.” He demanded again. I walked over to me slowly and crouched down. I didn’t do anything. There’s no will power left in me. He slapped me across the face, waking me up from my trance. This time I looked over at him with curiosity written across my face. “The man on the bridge. Who was he?” I asked. My voice was cracking slightly, due to the fact I haven’t used it in so long.

“You met him earlier this week on another assignment.”

“I knew him. Was he the father of my child?” I asked. The head of HYDRA looked perplexed for a second.

“Your work has been a gift to mankind. You shaped the century. And I need you to do it one more time. Society’s at a tipping point between order and chaos. And tomorrow morning, we’re gonna give it a push. But, if you don’t do your part, I can’t do mine. And HYDRA can’t give the world the freedom it deserves.”

“Was he the father of my child?” Pierce shook his head in a displeasing way.

“Prep her.”

“She’s been out of cryo freeze too long.”

“Then wipe her and start over.”

A/N Sorry if it’s a bit confusing. It will make sense eventually. College hurts. Both physically and mentally. I’m doing a performing arts course and let’s just say, cardio workout 3 times a week. I better get abs from this… I have to learn how to do the splits…. Ouch.
