Max was just trying to get to the Institute faster. The last time he was late to training, his papa, Alec, had given him a long speech on responsibility and he wasn’t in the mood for another one. Unfortunately, he hadn’t expected sending himself back in time before his parents had even gotten together and at the brink of the Mortal War breaking out.
Will his decisions change his future? Can he make things better, save some people? Or will he destroy his chances of ever being born…
(All the time travel AUs I’ve seen around are set back with Will Herondale and everybody so I thought, what if our current peeps saw the possibilities of their futures through Max?)
“Traveling is like flirting with life. It’s like saying, ‘I would stay and love you, but I have to go.’”

Magnus Bane is still the High Warlock of Brooklyn. Alexander Lightwood is still the acting Head of the New York Institute. The thing is, Magnus has known Alec his entire life. There’s just so much to explore when time travel meets immortality. A Time Traveler’s Wife AU
Jon Robyns, Adam Linstead, and the Student Ensamble
I feel like Adam Linstead gets crap for playing Grantaire. People say he’s takes the role too goofy, but have you heard to this version of Drink With Me? It’s the best version I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard a lot of different versions.
I feel like the chemistry between Jon and Adam as Enjolras and Grantaire is a bond that isn’t like any other character. For God’s Sake, do you hear the emotion in his voice? It’s literally heartbreaking. The first time I heard it, which was on Pandora, my heart sank like it never has before. Like the e/R feels really got to me and ugh I can’t even.
You realise you have a fandom when you've read and attempted to write at least one fanfiction, cried over three character deaths minimum, called everyone "MY BABIES" , can name every single character, and have found your otp, who you will defend against the world and proclaim their Greatness from the rooftops of eternity.
Happy birthday to this amazing man. I know that you won’t see this. But I just want to say thank you for everything that you did and thank you for making me smile again on my bad days. Hope this year will be another awesome year for you. Bless your eyes, your freckles, your family, and your personality.
No, see, you don’t understand, you don’t get it. It isn’t just a movie, it isn’t just a book, or a story or a musical or a piece of art. It’s a little piece of glass glittering at you, reflecting some part of your soul, something that you’re not even fully aware is inside you until you see it looking back at you. A great work awakens something inside you that makes you grander than you were before. It will make you dream longer and soar higher and want deeper.
It isn’t just a story.
It is a new star to be added to the heavens kept inside you. It is a new facet of life to appreciate and aspire to achieve. And a great story, framed in a beautiful production? An excellent tale combined with an intricately developed vision? Those are the ones that sweep us away for life. And god help you if you get grabbed young; your life, your whole life will become a desperate quest to obtain more of it. You will try for it everyday and every way you can. It will become a beacon in life because now that you know you’re missing it, you’ll only ever want it more.
It isn’t just a story.
It isn’t just a movie. It’s damn near a religious experience. It’s as close to holy revelation as I have ever known. It’s the guidepost against which I lean when life overwhelms me, and it has never failed to recenter my heart and my mind. It lets me find an echo of my own fears, my own obstacles, and watch as they are summarily surmounted.
So no, it isn’t just a story to me. It never will be.
