Libra - In Spirit’s Service
The art of astrology is purely Libra. Libra is the energy of cosmic laws that uphold the universe, that infuse with nature’s timing to spin the planets and turn the seasons. The human body and the forces of nature rely on equilibrium, in the human body this is known as homeostasis. The traditional woman holding the Libran scales of justice is blindfolded, emphasising her impartial morality. There are laws of court, religion, and society, and there are laws of nature and spirit. The Qabala, astrology, numerology, and gnostic teachings all base themselves on ancient spiritual law that manifested through the observed laws of nature. Libra threads this into consciousness. The rings of Saturn symbolise the laws of karma and Saturn is Libra’s planet of exalt. This gives an indication of the severe karmic duty determined for Libra and the intense spiritual responsibility they have inherited for this incarnation. Libra rules the kidneys, the organ anatomically responsible for maintaining salt balance and voiding toxins. In an astral sense, Libra could float through day and night, light and dark, chaos and peace, without responding, because they remain at that elusive equilibrium, aware of the inherent synthesis in everything, and therefore perceiving no duelling oppositions or desire, godly and one. Libra does not uphold the law through inflammatory need for revenge, emotional reactivity, or sterile intellectualism. It is approached through the spiritual resonance that flows through them, the equilibrium of nature that is pure, balanced, righteous intuition. On a human level, this is why Libra rules litigation, marriage, and contracts. It represents laws of society that are intended to maintain honour and justice. Angels are pure and impartial in this regard, they bare no judgement or revolt, they are bound by the holy law of service. Libra has this angelic frequency, on the wings of air they are ascended, preserving the cosmic laws that maintain all life and existence.
