“I don’t even think it’s worth showing,” said longtime S.V.U. cast member Ice-T, who plays Det. Fin Tutuola. “It wasn’t one of our best shows.”
Ice-T, who spoke with Vanity Fair in conjunction with the release of his new film, Bloodrunners, may not think much of the episode—but he did offer additional details about it. “There was this guy who was running for president—he was very Trump-ish, and girls were coming out of the woodwork saying he was raping them,” he said. “And me and Mariska [Hargitay, who plays Lt. Olivia Benson],we’re on his bumper, and he’s sweating it. But at the end of the day, it comes out that he was innocent. He didn’t do it. So we’ve got to apologize, and he’s still doing his thing, talking his shit. And it turns out that his campaign advisor, who was his best friend, was booby-trapping him because he knew he would be terrible for America!”
I think before now we never knew in detail what happens in “Unstoppable”.
And it’s funny to finally hear one of the cast admit that an episode sucked.
Thank you for submitting your Facebook questions to Raul Esparza! Here’s a look at the cross-examination:
If there was a musical based on Barba’s life what would it be called? “The Demon Lawyer of Chambers Street” “Not My Yacht”
What is the best part about working on the show, in your opinion? Mariska. 100 times over, Mariska. And Warren Leight’s unbelievable writing for Barba. And I love meeting all the different actors and guest stars, it’s like being part of a great acting school. Oh, and Mariska.

I like to imagine Barba having swallow-shaped wings and preening them incessantly, so they’re always tidy and glossy and beautiful. He uses them to be dramatic and sassy, but one was broken a while back and didn’t heal properly, so he can’t fly very well and this is a source of insecurity that he puts a lot of effort into hiding.
With wings and the name “Rafael,” I can’t help but be reminded of:
“And again the Lord said to Raphael: ‘Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness …”
Angelic!SVU AU: Archangel Rafael defends victims in a heavenly court and convicts rapists to hell while God is the judge, but he just sits there rolling his eyes at this shit.
