JUST RELEASED: The Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Lawn opens for the season on May 7!

One of the best ways to experience the Illumination Lawn is by taking advantage of the many outdoor dining options at Lincoln Center and combining the two for a déjuener sur l’herbe. Gelato carts beckon on Josie Robertson Plaza in front of Avery Fisher Hall and on Broadway Plaza in front of Alice Tully Hall. Starting June 1, the Plaza Kiosk and Bar on Josie Robertson Plaza will sell a selection of sandwiches, salads, drinks and desserts every Tuesday through Saturday throughout the summer.

Picnic Pacs will be sold there, as well as from the Espresso Bar in Avery Fisher’s lobby, ideal for enjoying outdoors on the Lawn or in the nearby Barclays Capital Grove. The start of Midsummmer Night Swing on June 26 brings Barbecue in the Park, nightly offerings of grilled specials and inventive side dishes inspired by the country or region where the Swing performers come from. Barbecue in the Park continues through the Lincoln Center Out of Doorsfestival through the middle of August.
