There was an ice storm in my area a few weeks ago. Everything was coated in ice! It was amazing but also no so amazing since the power was out for 30 hours. The weight of the ice brought down many older trees… which sometimes took down power-lines with them. A little apocalyptic, but beautiful!
Sketchbook fish :). I’ve been doodling fish a lot lately during my breaks at work. It has definitely helped keep me sane. Featured here are some of my favorite fish: The lionfish (the Pterois), The Siamese Fighting Fish (Betta splendens), and the Pacific Blackdragon (Idiacanthus antrostomus). The blackdragon sketch isn’t completely accurate, they have more of a long body without the large dorsal and pelvic fins. I took some creative liberties, SUE ME! No don’t. Anyways… sketchbook fishies. Served.
Work in progress… not sure about this one… I whited out a large section for fun so that I can introduce new colours and/or forms. This work was an experiment in continually destroying space and then building it up again. To do to this I had to force myself to detach from the forms, to have no fear in erasing/covering them.
