HAPPY THINGS THAT HAPPENED DURING LOGAN

- logan smiling when a lady shows him her tits - charles being telepathic pen pals with laura - Laura’s little bouncy ball - Laura calmly eating cereal while armed mercenaries surround her - laura riding the toy pony - Laura’s love of horses - laura picking out a shirt with a horse and rainbows on it after slaughtering an army - Charles’ little fedora - Laura pushing all the elevator buttons and her face when Logan stops her - laura helping Charles out with his shoes - Laura wearing a robe that’s 5x too big for her - Laura playing with charles’ wheelchair - Logan and Charles laughing at dinner - Logan’s dad face when he sees Laura looking at Nate - Laura getting to be a kid for one night - “they have tv. you wanna watch tv?” - Laura yelling at Logan in Spanish - Laura being reunited with her friends - the kids chopping off Logan’s beard - Logan calling Charles “pop” - Laura calling Logan “daddy” - Laura, Charles, and Logan being called the howletts

Am I seriously the only one who fell in love with Nate Munson (Quincy Fouse) in Logan??? He’s the nicest to Laura despite her being a pretty weird kid (understandable but he doesn’t know shit about her backstory so for him she’s just this random weird mute child), gives her his ipod/whatever they use in 2029 (admit it how many of you would give your electronic devices to a random kid if you had to give up your music for the night) and is all around a swell guy. Kinda braggy (yeah I’m not good at it so I’m only the second best around), thinks dropping out of school might be a good idea, but he is a teenage boy after all. He lets an 11 yo girl (a stranger at that) sniff around his room and doesn’t comment on it, tries to play it off as cool as possible.
Seriously Nate needs some appreciation I couldn’t have been the only one devastated after seeing the poor boy swinging at X24

YOU NEED TO GO SEE “LOGAN” (and here’s why)

Comic book heroes function, more or less, the same way the old gods do in mythologies around the world. Their stories are told over and over again, changing according to the teller and the times. They may die but they never really die. They’re immortal…until they’re not.

Even gods have their end. They usually meet that end when the society which created them evolves, splits, gets conquered. When the values they represent are no longer the values held by the people who once revered them.

So what do you get when a Canadian superhero must take a young Mexican girl and an English nonagenarian across the breadth of the literal and figurative American landscape? You get an American film which feels as if it has been written yesterday, it so poignantly represents the current struggles of our nation. You get a superhero film in which we mourn the old ways, the old gods, and strive to find new and betters ways. In the fight for their place, we fight along with them to discover - and define - our own.

You see, most of the Americans who appear in this film are the bad guys. They’re powerful: rich, educated, connected, heavily armed and armored. They’re going after old men and children with all their might and who cares about those caught in the crossfire? But we Americans watching want our Canadian and Mexican heroes to prevail, to outfight and outsmart our countrymen because in those characters we recognize who and what we used to stand for. In the enemies we recognize who we have become.

This movie is going to be held up alongside The Dark Knight and Captain America: Winter Soldier as the best of its genre.

Let me explain:

“Bucky? W-what are you doing here?” Laura asked with a hint of shock. Her brown hair was frizzy from the humidity of the warm spring day in the country.

“Clint said I should come.” I murmured, my shoulders hunched. “But I can go if it’s not a good time.” I added in a mumbled rush. She put two fingers under my chin and lifted my head, my eyes meeting hers. I knew what she saw when her eyes went wide. She saw my reddened eyes and the heavy bags from stress and sleep deprivation.

“Nate, hey! Uh it’s me. I mean it’s Y/N. Just call me back sometime!” You left a voice mail for your boyfriend, excuse me, ex boyfriend. As soon as you hung up the phone, you started to regret calling him in the first place. You hated to sound desperate, but you couldn’t quit thinking about that boy.

The past three months had been the hardest of your entire life. Three months ago, you found yourself snooping through your boyfriend’s phone. You had a feeling that something wasn’t right. Nate had been sort of distant, and pictures of him and his friend, Laura, were circulating around Twitter. You had a feeling that Laura was something more than just a friend, and you were determined to find out. You discovered texts and call logs between her and Nate. At first, the texts were innocent. Nothing more than small talk, feeling guilty for not trusting your boyfriend and invading his privacy, you were about to put his phone up. That is when you came across something not so innocent. Laura had sent Nate nudes. Rather than him rejecting her, he proceeded to tell her how good she looked. But what disgusted you even more was that he went in detail of what he would do to her and how it would feel. It broke your heart.
