“Do you trust me?” the question left your lips as a sweet and soft whisper. Jughead remained silent but he nodded with his head.

After a hard, boring and usual day at the Riverdale high school you and your friend Jughead walked to your home for a study session.

Of course Pop’s was the first option but the football team was there celebrating last night’s victory and you both didn’t want to hear and stand them more than you had to at school.

It really started as a study session because of the enormous tone of pages you have to study for that exam the biology teacher decided to put from one day to another, but the books and pens were left aside when suddenly Jug asked about you and your aunt’s relationship and how it was going.

“It’s euphoric, to be honest. It was something I was not expecting. I’m kind of still processing it. I’m so proud of this team and as a sub you just want to help your team however you can, bring energy to the game.”

My hands slipped. Pair that Selene with a Dirthamen @selenelavellan

You’re a soldier on humanity’s last stand against Aliens. Victory seems unlikely. Suddenly, ghostly warriors from all eras come to your aid. From the ancient Roman Soldiers to the WW2 fighters, they’re there to turn the tides.

In retrospect I must confess that I do not know, or no longer know, what I wanted to achieve with my words.  I only know that without this testimony, my life as a writer — or my life, period — would not have become what it is:  that of a witness who believes he has a moral obligation to try to prevent the enemy from enjoying one last victory by allowing his crimes to be erased from human memory.

If I may ask, what did you think was the best and the worst fights this arc?

Best battle this arc would probably go to… the Wahl Eeto fights, or possibly Wendy, Chelia and Ultear vs DiMaria. …it’s pretty slim pickings all around.

Worst battle goes to… god there’s so many in this arc. The absolute worst battle in this entire arc is Gray vs Natsu because in what universe was any of that good? It fails everyone involved on every level - the fight is terrible, it has an anticlimactic ending, the characterisation was garbage and it did no-one involved in it any favours.

Special mention goes out to Erza and Wendy vs Eileen for the sheer ridiculousness and overall irrelevance of the fight,  and also to Gray and Juvia vs Invel because [insert frustrated screaming here]

The Tribe (a poem)

The Tribe

Spring comes like a tribe
of cannibals I can’t
outrun, my feet sinking
like daggers in the mud
then I am finally taken down
their warm breath washing
over my tear-streaked face
their eyes glaring at me
like suns and I feel
my coat stripped from me
like I’ve just been skinned
and then my shoes and socks
are rushed off my feet
followed by my pants and
shirt til with one last
shriek of victory
the tribe rushes off
in search of another
victim leaving me
naked scared panting
standing in the cool mud
desperately in need
of a tan.

A Scale Victory At Last!

24 March 2017
I’ve had a scale victory this morning! I dropped below 65kg (64.7kg) for the first time since last September. I am the same weight I was when I got my FitBit for Christmas 2015 haha. Last March I was 2kg lighter but I am carrying more muscle this year. I won’t make my 3 Dams weight goal but at least I am no longer lugging an entire extra bike up hills!
