last night with gus

okay but this is a great episode | last night gus (psych | 6x02)

imagine you weren’t just a bland, gangly, average human, huh? that you could wink at someone and light up their world, that you could make a child think that you have given them an ice cream cone without giving them the cone and then watch them skip off into a beautiful meadow, licking nothing but air! imagine that! imagine that you have a special gift, a sixth sense, and then someone or something comes along AND RIPS IT AWAY FROM YOU! imagine that, jack! do you see me giving up?

Roy is mildly surprised to find that the only people at the meeting are himself, Gus, and Gus’ PA, Veronica. He would have assumed some of Freddie’s people would have been here as well. He sits down opposite Veronica and she regards him with her usual inscrutable expression. He wonders for the thousandth time whether Gus is banging her. Her red hair reminds him of Danielle last night and the incredible way she manoeuvred her tongue around-

Gus: Good morning, Roy.

Roy: Gus, Veronica.

Gus: I’m not going to sugarcoat things, Roy. I called this meeting today because I’m concerned.

Roy: Listen, Gus. Freddie’s not going to relapse, I can promise you that on the lives of my kids. People who successfully complete The Oaks’ 14-Step Equine Recovery program have an incredible success rate. I brought some statistics with me if you’d like to-

Gus: I’m not concerned about Freddie, Roy. I’m concerned about you.
