lanterns in a tree

“Going through the mountains,
checking the clouds,
Blown by the wind,
I met the stars,
And then the journey continues,
so the beautiful world.”

(Ai Maeda – The beautiful world, “Kino no tabi” OST)

Kenroku-en (兼六園), a historical Japanese Zen Garden, is currently one of the three great gardens of Japan. There are many famous zen elements in Kenrokuen, including the Kotoji-toro Lantern, stone bridge, old pine trees, reflection ponds and teahouses. It is a nice place to purify our spirit and slow things down with nature and mindfulness meditation.
