Featured Interview on Lady and Like!

The best thing about the internet is that you get to make friends with people you probably would never get a chance to, Anna Jepson of Lady and Like is one of many I’ve gotten to know via the web.

She recently interviewed me, so make sure to head on over to her blog to check out the interview! It’s all about the nitty gritty of the design world and it’s competitiveness, amongst talks of other artsy things, The Creative Dairies: Belinda Love Lee.

Thank you Anna for having me, it’s such a privilege to be a part of your blog! Ps. She shares lovely sorts of recipes, so if you’re a foodie, her blog is a must.

FRESHEN UP: Your Skincare Routine

As of 2 weeks ago, one of my sisters is now officially a stylist! She knows everything you need to know about hair, makeup, skincare, all the good stuff it takes to making us ladies look ladylike. ;) I thought I’d share some of the little things I’ve learned from her, and some of my favorite products!

Just a couple of quick things (a full beauty post coming soon!):

  1. ALWAYS exfoliate. This one can be a bit tricky, as some are more harsh than others. All the ladies in my family tried the Vitamin C Microdemrasion a few nights ago and we are all singing it’s praises! Definitely worth a try.
  2. ALWAYS moisturize. Maggie, my sister, does an exfoliant and a cleansing/moisturizing mask every week. And I must say, her skin glows.
  3. Toner really does work. I’m not one to use it often, but for some skin types, it can make  huge difference!
  4. Scrub doez lips! I use the Sugar Lip Scrub from Fresh (pictured), and it works like a charm every time. Afterwards, use a lip moisturizer or chapstick. I usually do this right before going to bed.
  5. ALWAYS clean your brushes! I’m sure my sister will go into detail on this more, but those brushes can harbor tons of dirt and oils, and worse, bacteria! If you don’t, you are basically rubbing all of that junk back onto your face. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

Fresh is without question my favorite skincare provider. Everything they have is extremely light, and I’ve found that my skin tends to be more sensitive, and doesn’t need a ton of moisture, so Fresh is perfect! If you are looking for something more budget friendly, I have found that Simple is very  comparable to Fresh, so give that one a try!

I have been doing all of the above tips all summer, and I can honestly say that it works! Exfoliating and “masking” are so key. And, I mean, who doesn’t want to put on a face mask and watch My Best Friends Wedding?

You’re welcome, for giving you a reason to slumber party.
