lady persona

REALIZATION: The Miraculous yin-yang has a great deal of importance.

At first, when I first started watching the show, I was curious as to why Marinette possessed the ladybug Miraculous (given that ladybugs are symbolic for luck)… She’s clumsy, unintentionally messes things up, awkward, embarrassing, hell she can’t even say a word to Adrien without her stumbling over her words…

Didn’t seem very lucky to me (although she’s still cute af) On the other hand, Adrien possessed the black cat Miraculous and we all know that black cats are infamous for bad luck, yet Adrien is the son of a famous fashion designer, rich, good looking, charismatic and doesn’t even have to go to school if he didn’t want to.

However, I thought of this and the yin yang and then I thought the purpose of the yin yang is to create perfect balance. Marinette and Lady Bug’s personas balance out each other’s perfectly, just like Adrien and Cat Noir.

HOWEVER, if you look at it with a different perspective… you could see that in reality Marinette may actually be the truly lucky one in terms of family life. Marinette has a loving family that supports her in everything she does and encourages her to be the best she can be. Meanwhile, Adrien has lost his mother, has been alone most of his life, and has a stern father who does not support him, does not want the best for him and basically neglects his son’s emotional state. The two opposite family lives display YET AGAIN - Perfect balance.

THEY LITERALLY ARE THE CHOSEN ONES GIVEN THEY CREATE PERFECT BALANCE WTH

And additionally their romantic dilemmas also balance out each other to create perfect balance. Cat Noir (Adrien) is in love with Ladybug (Marinette) while on the other hand, Marinette (Ladybug) is in love with Adrien (Cat Noir).

IT ALL WORKS OUT BLESS THE YIN YANG AND THE CREATORS OF THIS SHOW DO YOU GUYS REALIZE THAT THIS YIN YANG CONCEPT IS THE REASON THEY ARE THE ULTIMATE OTP AND WHY THEY MAKE SUCH A GREAT TEAM TO BATTLE ALL THESE EVIL VILLAINS!!?/!?.)(1

I don’t know if I’m in a minority, but I don’t hardcore ship Yang with anyone. I mean, I’m totally for most of the Yang ships. If Bumblebee, Freezerburn, Baked Alaska, or even Steam became a thing, I’d be down with it.

I just don’t think Yang NEEDS anyone in a romantic way. There are a lot of characters I feel would benefit from healthy romantic interactions, such as Blake or Weiss. Sure, Yang would probably benefit, but I don’t see it as being vital to her character. Am I making sense?

Like, if Yang ends up single at the end of the series, I won’t feel cheated at all.

And back to the Persona ladies. And starting with Persona 4 here we have Chie Satonaka. TRIAL OF THE DRAGON!

She is a cool gal that kinda got flanderised in the spinoff games…. but she is still cool in the original game. Although I really don’t like her current english voice.

Erin Fitzgerald I have nothing against you…but you don’t need to yell every line, though I am starting to think you do it to have your voice sound younger…

Anyways, Chie is cool and she would have been my favourite Persona 4 gal if there wasn’t someone else…

Aries: The bad boy/girl, the competitor, the suave and ardent character, a daring girl/boy, the sporty gal/guy, and the go-getter.

Taurus: Stubborn protagonist or antagonist, dependable and usually loyal to the end sidekick, friend, sibling, or lover, unexpected hero or villain pushed into their situation, collector or keeper of something important, and pragmatist.

Gemini: Trickster, character trying to find themselves, social butterfly, tech geek, and intellectual who hides behind absent mindedness.

Cancer: Motherly/protective figure, clingy partner or friend, jealous opponent, healing force, homebody, hermit, secret magic user, understanding teacher, tough exterior soft interior hero, and shy individual.

Leo: Brave hero or knight, leader, out to save the group, struggles with their pride, ambitious artist, role model, and authoritative villain.

Virgo: Cautious, bookworm and/or nerd, quiet observer, forward critic, virgin persona, lady/gentleman in the streets and freak in the bed.

Libra: Romantic lover, dreamer, teammate, spouse, mediator, judge, networking master, deceptive and charming villain, and sweetheart.

Scorpio: Dark and mysterious person, seductress/seducer, brooding artist persona, investigator, sorcerer/sorceress, and manipulator.

Sagittarius: Adventurer, underdog, player of love or the rat race, gambler, risk taker, traveler, idea spreader, and wild youth.

Capricorn: Starts from the bottom goes to the top, hard worker, traditionalist, grumpy persona, boss, entrepreneur, and authority figure.

Aquarius: Inventor, hippie, anarchist, computer whiz, visionary, loner, quirky persona, outcast, detached hero, and chaotic villain.

Pisces: Pacifist, hopeless romantic, giver, plays the victim, manipulative villain, poet, suffering artist, empathetic individual, martyr, and healer.

tbh I’d really love to see someone stage Tanz der Vampire with Professor Abronsius being a woman, it could make the character far more interesting. I mean, picture this tiny old lady who becomes a persona-non-grata in intellectual/academic circles for her “radical” ideas, climbing up mountains to kill vampires, while also having to deal with the bullshit of this clumsy wimpy boy who’s supposed to look after her (but she’s the one who often ends up having to look after him)

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

As much as we all had the solstice deadline looming over us, we still had to play by the rules of courtly engagement, and so we spent the following morning touring Helion’s palace and grounds among his other courtiers. Rhys and I kept our High Lord and Lady personas in place, which succeeded in keeping anyone from making the mistake of bringing up Amarantha again. Instead, we just received sideways glances and occasional shudders, which entertained us both to no end.
