“I always put trousers underneath because in her psyche anything might go wrong and [she’s always thinking], ‘I might need to run away,’ Even with the longest, most beautiful gowns, she always wears a pair of boots and trousers. I like that sense of, 'I can play this [queen] but underneath, I can run.’“ - Michele Clapton on Dany’s Costumes (insp.)
‘Shudder is a stern tiefling rogue/fighter, originally hailing from the desert city of Calimport. Stepping through a portal mirror, he descended into the Underdark alongside other adventurers to drive back the demon lords. Their quest was successful, but Shudder suffered greatly: He aged by thirty years in the span of a second, was driven insane multiple times, lost his halfling friend and apprentice Fargas Rumblefoot (who turned out to have been Fraz-Urb'luu, demon lord of deception, all along), witnessed the death of his god Kelemvor and - compelled by a demonic gnoll flail - gobbled down a chunk of the corpse of Orcus, demon lord of undeath. The Raven Queen, having taken Kelemvor’s place, saw it fit to separate Shudder from Orcus’ essence… by slaying him. Having been granted a new chance as an aasimar, he now serves her alone.
Likewise caught up in the Raven Queen’s judgement was Dawnbringer, Shudder’s sentient sun sword. Her vessel - a golden hilt set with a brilliant ruby - was shattered, and Dawnbringer’s spirit now shares Shudder’s body. When called upon, she manifests as a blade of pure radiance in his hand. Both in the madness of the Underdark and beyond, Dawnbringer ever strives to be a relentless wellspring of cheerful hope for the often dour Shudder.’
Thank you Charredlore for providing the excellent background information, as usual :D! Commissioned by Charredlore (indirectly by one of his adventurers).
Good morning, rebel army! I’ve been asked a handful of times if I’m selling my designs as prints, stickers, t-shirts, and other products anywhere. The other day I was talking to @virginialy about it, and it gave me the idea of opening a RedBubble store!
I’ve uploaded a handful of my Dragon Age illustrations, including some from this blog! Throughout the week, I’ll be creating some more, most of them featuring Apostate Hobo Life’s Solas on them since it’s the thing everyone requested the most. We all love our Stinky little elf.
Please share this post and feel free to send me any suggestions you might have, if there’s anything you’d like me to draw so that you can purchase that design! I’m more than happy to comply.
Thank you all for your endless support and love. Solas and I love you back with all our little elven hearts. Stay safe!
We all know f/f doesn’t get enough love. Whether it’s because of a lack of canon content, or fandom’s interests lying elsewhere, it usually gets the short end of the stick. Thankfully, February is here to rectify that - and hopefully, one day, we won’t even need the reminder!
So what is Femslash February? It started as open challenge calling on all members of fandom to create at least two fanworks of any sort (fanfic, fanart, fan vids, graphics, fanmixes, etc.) featuring a f/f ship in the month of February. I don’t know if people still follow that rule today, but to me, Femslash February is THE month to celebrate your love for the ladies. And ladies loving ladies. Not that you can’t do that every day of the year, but if you needed a good reason, here’s one!
Since the Dragon Age franchise has, let’s be honest, a whole bunch of badass ladies, and since this blog, and yours truly, have dedicated themselves to the task of reblogging them all in all their glory, I’m hoping you guys will fill up their tags with new posts, so that I can queue a LOT of content, and provide you with even more lady love!
