Lord of Shadows Challenge: Week 9 | Vampires → Anselm Nightshade

Arthur nodded decidedly. He placed his open palm against Julian’s chest. “I have a meeting with Anselm Nightshade,” he said in a deep voice.

“Good to know,” Julian said. It was good to know. Arthur and Anselm were friends, sharing a love of the classics. Anything that kept Arthur busy was an asset.

I want the Los Angeles vampires to start protesting against what happened with Nightshade. I want them to bomb the Institute with letters, complaints. I want them to camp out in front of the Institute every night in protest for throwing their leader against the bus for their own personal gain. I want them to call Lily, and for Lily to scream at Magnus for enabling this bullshit.

I don’t want this to be swept under the rug. I want consequences.

“Then the archers came from the woods. They were girls, about a douzen of them. The youngest was maybe ten. The oldest, about fourteen, like me. They wore silvery ski parkas and jeans, and they were all armed with bows.“
“One of the oldest archers stepped foward with her bow drawn. She was tall and gracefull with coppery colored skin. Unlike the other girls, she had a silver circlet braided into the top of her long dark hair, so she looked like some kind of Persian princess. “Permission to kill, my lady?””

I have this headcanon that Raphael always cooks for Magnus when he goes to see him. They make up excuses why obviously, but secretly Raphael just likes having someone to cook for again and Magnus secretly really likes Raphael’s cooking.

But Raphael would be so passive aggressive about the whole Anselm thing and he’d go to visit Magnus sometime afterwards and he’d be like ‘I’m really not in the mood to cook tonight. Maybe you should order pizza, or something?’

Wait, wait, wait. Hold up. You’re telling me that Julian set Anselm up to stop the clave asking too many questions about the truth of what they’d done? He got an innocent vampire arrested and even acknowledged that he was going to suffer an undeserved severe punishment? And Clary stamped on Jace’s foot to stop him from admitting Anselm was being framed? And Magnus freaking Bane just…went along with it? And praised him for it afterwards? Excuse me????
