Yellow Monitor (Varanus flavescens)

Also known as the Golden Monitor, the Yellow Monitor is a species of monitor lizard (Varanidae) which is native to Asia, where it occurs in the flood plains of the Indus, Ganges, and Brahmaputra rivers. Like other monitor lizards V. flavescens is mainly terrestrial in nature and are carnivorous typically feeding on small vertebrates and various invertebrates.
